Goblin (Marvel Comics)
Now that Goblin (Marvel Comics) has been redirected to List of Spider-Man enemies <small>(I actually plan on filing an WP:ANI report pretty soon in regard to the blind spammings that are currently taking place at WP:AFD; the user in question has displayed tendencies of WP:POINT, WP:BATTLEGROUND, WP:IDHT, and several others, and has been banned from fictional character deletion discussions for similar behaviours in the past)</small>, a Goblin section should probably be added to the article or created as a disambiguation page (not to be confused with the hubpage that just got redirected). Despite TTN, Piotrus, and JIP claiming WP:OR, several primary and secondary sources were listed confirming the connection between the characters, so the claims that the article was "a collection of unrelated topics" objectively holds no water. Looking back at the start of my edits this year to the beginning:
Note regarding alternate account:This is a history of my older account. Since I was new. I was warned on stuff the editors didn't know why I was doing it. One warning of fraud date signing. I just didn't know how to sign. Also I was accused of making unconstructive edits on a navbox I was creating. It was just me removing my unfigured out goofs I made. Along with other stuff I didn't understand yet regarding User:J Greb.
Additional comments:Me being embarrassed is why I switched to this account but I later realized that I was slow on learning and that should be accepted as ok. Nothing against Wikipedia:Sock puppetry what tells not to do though. I was also younger too. It took me forever knowing that you should move a certain way just in this account alone. So I still facepalm of a lot of my edits in this account regarding moving. So if I do another edit that is wrong now per guideline. Please assume good faith. There is a lot of guidelines out there that I maybe missed.
IP related information: In the past I started out as a IP editor. I wouldn't know which one. I didn't remember how old I was. I do believe I was a teenager. All I remember is I added villains on the Teen Titans navbox that still there. I know I was responsible for adding villains on the Justice League navbox as well. I think this is it. I was just learning and I am sure I made a lot of mistakes. I don't use ANY IP anymore. I never did a unconstructive or a unserious edit on purpose in my IP contributions (except for a one where I reverted myself [as planned] in this account a long time ago. [RIP on a film series statement on a article that I contribute heavily on Update: Found it. I fastly reverted myself in good faith.] That's a one time thing though.) Although I never use IP accounts no more. I am thankful for it though because it made me realize I wanted to take part. So no I am not negative of allowing IP's to edit. I just prefer them to sign in once they like Wikipedia and do constructive edits.
Blocks: Nah I never got blocked! Except on accident somehow. It wasn't aimed at me though. So we good. One helpful thing is I am cautious at editing and good-natured on conversation. I do like to be bold though.
Conflicts with other editors:I try not to disgree with a lot editors. I do recall having disagreements though. User:J Greb and me get along swimmingly on the navbox related discussions. Not! But still I try to as much as I can and I still regard him as a colleague. My most heated debate was on Talk:Glenn Beck and I should have been more careful with what I said. A user there was in a fighting mood. lol. He was blocked now and loves to talk smack about this site thanks to me and other editors on his blog. The only thing I am sure is that he was a liberal.
User:Tenebrae, User:MichaelQSchmidt (Main article), User: Darkwarriorblake, User:TriiipleThreat, User: Erik and User:Rusted AutoParts and User talk:Betty Logan, User: Nightscream etc. have become like family to me while editing Wikipedia. Definitely thanks to WikiProjects. Some I try to put in line while some do vice versa. Sticking together for things that we like and relate to is a good thing about this site. I also like to meet other respectful editors as well. If I talked on your page before. Chances are you are on my watchlist automatically. I designed it that way.
The Future: In the future I do want to be a administrator if I am still active. Although that is the question. Will I stay active. I just know Wikipedia shouldn't be the only thing to focus on outside of real life. Would I be a good and responsible one? Yes I know I would...but it will be up to a lot of other editors too that is going to judge my past Wiki sins as a younger editor compared to how good I am now and how I could be at for the future. Which I won't be a fan of. But I got to get ready for it anyways. But I know I have what it takes if that's the mission that I am going to take. Although I don't edit for that goal. I edit because I like it...just like I first knew about it because I liked to read it. I am a reader and a writer...and Wikipedia make me realize that. (Even though I suck at punctuation.) Now being administrator worthy is of course going to be a goal now that it is being 2014. Along with making articles GA and FA when I can. Along with rollbacking vandalizers if I am really bored. Maybe even creating more articles and navboxes. Along with downloading images. Also with discussing whatever. So wish me luck in the future (whoever is reading this) on achieving these goals and being a Veteran editor 3!!!

Update log 22:13, 1 January 2014 (UTC): My goal today was make at least 14,000 edits in my contributions. I have succeeded and I am now going to take a break.

Update log 03:55, 8 January 2014 (UTC): Laid low today and is kind of burnt out of editing. Not to mention that I am trying to find times for writing novels too. This is complicating it. I still want to expand on my contributions again though for the future.

Yes... it may well be.... but it does need work first

Wizard

Happy to help, Jh. Here are archive links for #61-70, #71-80, and #191-200 to start off with. There are links at the bottom of these pages for other numbers, and if you click around these archive pages you should be able to accumulated the rest. Happy hunting!

While I have you, perhaps I could ask you to go to the RfC at Talk:The Phantom and weigh in there. With regards, --Tenebrae (talk) 01:24, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well, let's gather as many as we can. The pattern seems to be that in the original URLs, the fourth number from the left after ".com" and the seventh number from the left after ".com" each go up one in tandem, and that each time they do so, they do it in a pair of URLs, one ending in "thgreatestcharacters.html" and the other ending in "thgreatestcharacters2.html." So "0514082" goes up to "0515083" and "0516084" etc. The URL for #181-190 seems an exception, and sometimes one or the other number goes up by two when the other goes up by one, and in the lower character numbers (below #40), it looks like the fifth character from the left goes up. After that, I can't quite figure out the pattern. Still, here's everything so far from #21-on:
--Tenebrae (talk) 01:57, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So I did a Google search for [wizard "THE 200 GREATEST COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS OF ALL TIME" "20."], hoping it would get me a dead original link for whoever character #20 was, and I got a hit. (It was Ultron, by the way.) Doing an archive search on that gave me, ironically, #1-10 but not yet #11-20. I'm working on it.
Whoops — didn't read your full post till now. I can't remember how I found the first one, though I imagine it was by running across an old Wikipedia footnote with the original URL and then searching for it at archive.org. Or, no, wait — now II'm jogging my memory, I may have found the original URL at an old forum posting online. Sometimes you get lucky with these old links. --Tenebrae (talk) 03:01, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GameSpot Issue fixed

Hey, just to let you know, you can archive those GameSpot refs with complete safety now on both Archive.org and WebCite. But old archived links done during the time of the problem still suffer from that issue, so fresh archiving is needed. --ProtoDrake (talk) 14:51, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Response

Satanus made a few appearances in Batman/Superman last year, you can look it up. Blaze appeared in a New 52 Supergirl story as well, she historically hasn't appeared in as many Superman-related titles as Satanus but it's irrelevant since both characters share a wikipedia page.

I am not overly impressed with the comments you left after reverting my edit on the navbox, which by itself didn't bother me as much since it would've been better if you had said nothing at all. Not only have you contradicted yourself on based on your past comments like being civil, deciding whether to add or remove character entries based on quantity of media adaptations (which btw, a lot of these characters even when adapted to other media did not even appear in Superman-centric stuff), I am also beginning to think you are spiting me deliberately.Haleth (talk) 16:27, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A few characters off the top of my head who lack past appearances in Superman-centric media...Ultra Humanite? Atomic Skull as supervillain? But like Neutron, they all debuted as Superman villains and aren't canon immigrants like Darkseid which according to other editors should face stricter tests on how integral they are to the key concepts of the subject matter they have been imported into.

I think you missed what I said in the first sentence of the second paragraph. It wouldn't have bothered me much, if at all, if you had simply reverted without saying anything. I didn't go back and edit war again, did I? I tend to let things go if what I did REALLY bothers someone that much. I assume you probably realized that your comments were rude, which is why you decided to discuss it on my talk page. So I do appreciate that. Keep in mind that you have assumed bad faith probably as much as I did towards you, which is likely because we did a lot of edit warring in the past. And you refer to other editors being tough on you...well did he call your edits "pathetic", or made any other personal slights towards you in any way like implying that you are some crazed fan boy? It doesn't mean I get offended, but I am certainly less inclined to take you seriously.

I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense if it's all about media adaptations for the sake of it. If a Superman villain was used as some random Justice League villain without his or her connection to Superman being emphasized, then that shouldn't count especially when some of us have pushed for the strict and more exclusive nature of these navbox templates...it just means it's more likely that the character warrants a page on their own right. Just because a particular character doesn't have a lot of multimedia appearances, doesn't mean their presence in the comic book medium is to be dismissed.

So for example, Deathstroke have appeared in an animated Batman movie, a Batman animated series and two Batman video games so far, but that still doesn't qualify him as a Batman villain by your standards, am I right? By contrast, you also thought Doctor Death should have been included for the Batman navbox because of that milestone first appearance, and you started questioning whether I was biased or only into recent very comics after I reasoned that he is very obscure and hasn't really been used more in the Batman mythos over its 75+ years of history. I re-added him back to the navbox after thinking about the points you made. I'm not trying to open another can of worms, but comparing two different scenarios and the line of reasoning you are on.

And not everyone uses a mobile device to access wikipedia. Haleth (talk) 17:13, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And again you are contradicting yourself. That is the complete opposite of the reasoning you gave in your comments when you reverted my edit: that Blaze and Satanus had no media adaptations. But they, like the other characters I mentioned earlier with little to no media presence, have established themselves as Superman villains in the comic book medium. And again, you're going "all bad faith" and passive aggressive on me after lecturing me to do the exact opposite in your last reply, now you are wondering out loud if you are going to "bother reading all of that" or insinuating that I will always "find an issue with how it works". Have you thought about the length of my reply was in response to you making three separate edits in a row on my talk page before I had the chance to response? Why bother having a discussion at all if you aren't going to make a sincere attempt to read what the other side has to say, or that you are already vocalizing feelings of contempt and being dismissive? Do you even understand what I am trying to convey to you? I am not re-opening the discussion regarding Deathstroke, I am comparing the stance you took with the stance you are taking now. The reasoning I am gathering from you now is that the only reason for your objection is the lack of media appearances.

Boomerang isn't a good comparison because he was part of an ensemble who starred as villain protagonists in Superior Foes of Spider-Man last year, and has in fact appeared in a lot more media then what you are suggesting. A character like Spot would be more appropriate given the comparable number of appearances and level of significance he has in Spider-Man's rogues gallery. Between Blaze and Satanus, both of them have four Elseworlds versions in addition to the standard Pre-Flashpoint and New 52 versions.

I am getting to a point where I just don't feel like a discussion with you is worth my time based on your attitude. Prove me wrong. Or maybe don't bother, and I will respond in kind. Haleth (talk) 18:03, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GrandLeader's changes to Spider-Man template

GrandLeader has a history of making additions to the Spider-Man template that don't belong. His recent edit includes notes saying the characters should stay because discussion supports their inclusion. I cannot find any such discussion so I left a message on his talk page about it. I thought I'd let you know since you and I are the two editors who most often revert his edits. I figure we can give him a little bit of time to come up with a discussion before we revert the edits. You are doing a good job making the pages for Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man Noir. If we start seeing more of Spider-UK during or after the Secret Wars storyline, do you think you can establish his page . Also, I have noticed that you have redirected Spider-X to the Alternate versions of Spider-Man page even though he is not an alternate version of Peter Parker. --Rtkat3 (talk) 19:43, 7 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If Spider-UK does become recurring in the Web Warriors, would you have his page created then like they did with Spider-Woman of Earth-65 and Spider-Man Noir. There is already a page for Spider-Ham. --Rtkat3 (talk) 21:57, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I heard you helped improve the List of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies characters page by leaving links for the characters. I'd like to let you know that some of the links are redirecting to that page. If you would like to recreate their page, go right ahead. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:18, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It has come to my attention that you were the one who redirected Ai Apaec to the Alternate versions of Spider-Man page even though he only acted as Spider-Man when a part of the second incarnation of Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers just like how Mac Gargan's Venom appearance operated as Spider-Man in the first incarnation. I'm just wondering what the motive for that was. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:18, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It may work in the incarnation area as he is one of the Dark Avengers Spider-Men. If any of the other surviving spider characters start making other appearances in the Web Warriors part, then perhaps they might get their own pages soon. The Peter Parker of Earth-1610 turned up alive alongside the Green Goblin of Earth-1610. After the defeat of the Green Goblin of Earth-1610, that reality's Peter Parker retired from being Spider-Man officially allowing Miles Morales to succeed him while he left New York with Mary Jane Watson. --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:35, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
When the other spider characters get notability like the Spider-Woman of Earth-65, then we can have their pages mage. --Rtkat3 (talk) 21:05, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-man enemies

There is no indication on the rogues gallery list that the enemies should only include "major" characters. Why not include other notable characters which are also part of spider-man's rogue gallery? — Preceding unsigned comment added by BrettWarr1 (talkcontribs) 20:30, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Iron max 3 sock puppet?

Hi Jhenderson777,

I noticed your run-ins with Iron max 3 (talk · contribs). Is it just me, or does Omegariley53 (talk · contribs) have a very similar editing style and attitude? Iron max 3 has not been blocked, so I don't know if having multiple accounts at this point goes against the guidelines. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 12:37, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) It definitely seems like him which is a clear violation of WP:SOCK. It should also be noted that he has User:Iron max 2 as well, which I only warned him about because the names are so similar. But now that we think he is operating a completely different account, It should probably be brought up for review.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:17, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I starting to wonder if they all are socks of User:Rymax23, who has been blocked.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:24, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Judging by the topic and similar style of editing, it does appear to be so, yes. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 14:38, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Similar editing styles indeed. Along with similar interests. If they do happen to be the same person then he/ she is abusing multiple accounts and that is against the guideline that TriiipleThreat already mentioned. The editor should be blocked if so. We should totally put the accounts in review like I did with Rymax. Jhenderson 777 15:12, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I reopened the investigation at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Rymax23.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 15:26, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-Man Enemies rewrite

I'm not sure if you already know about this but considering you worked so hard to rewrite and maintain List of Spider-Man enemies (good work BTW), I thought you should know. Someone here has proposed another overhaul. I figured you would have an opinion on this. DarkKnight2149 00:38, 17 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I wanted to say I love the way you organized this page by villains debuting. I love this structure and is the most logical for a page like that and the best way to prevent other heroes villains from appearing on the list that aren't associated with them. I was wondering if you could apply it to other heroes' rogue galleries/enemies pages or teach me how to do it?

Fluffyroll11 (talk) 20:02, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So with that being said I don't see how the Spider-Man villains page is incomplete but, could you do the same formatting to the Avengers enemies page? Also what do you think should it just be villains that debuted in the avengers or should each villain who appeared in an issue in order appear based off first appearance since Loki appears in issue number one but that wasn't his debut you know what I mean?

Fluffyroll11 (talk) 17:30, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Batman template

I wanted to understand your deletions from the Batman template. According to the article on Batman's supporting characters, Spoiler is part of the New 52 Batman Family, and so are Batwoman and Catwoman. Yet, you deleted them from the template, with the last two only from the public identity row. Also, if you don't want Batman, Inc within the Batman Family section, could they at least be in the supporting characters section?

Thanks, so trying to understand.--Coquidragon (talk) 23:29, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying. I see what you are saying, but then the template needs to be redesigned. Why having a code name section and a public identity section if you are only going to name the character once? It misses the point. By taking some names out to prevent the duplication you are talking about, then the lists become incomplete. I think both names should be there, whether you know the code name or the public name. That's how the NavBox was designed and that's what they are for, aren't they? As to the Batman, Inc. section, if there are no articles to some of them, we could at least list those who do have articles, can't we? Thanks again for looking into this.--Coquidragon (talk) 22:04, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I wanted to make an addition to the comic book character info box template and was wondering if you could help me or point me in the right direction to make it happen? Avengers Enemy List

Hey since your a much more seasoned Wikipedia editor than myself want to work together in formatting the Avengers enemies list like you did to Spiderman's enemy list which is a rogues gallery list? The Avengers would be more challenging since they fight not just characters who debut in their comics but, ones from the rogues gallery of the ranks. So we would have to become more creative in how we note stuff and list it but, would essentially be like the way you did the Spider-Man enemies list page. So what do you say? Spider-Gwen response

In your last edit summary about Spider-Gwen, you did say you were neutral if someone disagreed. I was planning on having to put in a section for the characters of Earth-65 outside of the Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 like the Bodega Bandit, a variation of the Yancy Street Gang, the organization S.I.L.K., and a female variation of Sam Wilson. If you would like to help with the brief information of the Earth-65 characters that don't have Earth-616 counterparts, you're welcome to help out. --Rtkat3 (talk) 02:53, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I left a message on the talk page for Spider-Gwen if that is what you meant. --Rtkat3 (talk) 03:07, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering if you have watched Ultimate Spider-Man where they just started showing the first of the four-part episode "Return to the Spider-Verse" which features some alternate Spider characters that never appeared in comics. If we were to modify the page that talks about the alternate spider characters like Spyder-Knight, a different type of Blood Spider from a Vampire-dominated world, Wolf Spider, Web Beard, and Webslinger the Spider-Cowboy as none of them appeared in the comics yet. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:29, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy

Thanks for the compliment, Jim. However, I don't read Spider-Gwen, and I cut back my editing drastically in April 2014. That, along with the 40 hour a week job I now have, makes large-scale additions of sourced material like the one you requested unlikely, at least from me. The thing is, the character hasn't been around that long, and hasn't made that many appearances, right? If your primary interest is creating a Powers and abilities section, and you have all her appearances (or are capable/willing to get them), you should be able to glean that info from the books. I'm sorry I can't be more help to you there. Nightscream (talk) 23:47, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-editing

Hi there! I have just finished the copy-editing of "Spider-Woman (Gwen Stacy)" and here are some comments:

 1. The lead was too short and didn't kind of summerize key points of the article. I've expanded it resonably, and it could be even expanded more.
 2. "Publication history" was mostly very well done
 3. "Fictional character summary" consisted of too many paragraphs, so I tried to sum everything up in just a few ones. I also added a picture for the reader to read so much text comfortably (can be changed with another picture if you think another one's better).
 4. "Characteristics": Done some major clean-up and added "Powers and abilities" as a subtopic
 5. "Promotion and reception": Only left reception here and moved "promotion" to another topic. Mostly well-written here
 6. "Alternative versions and merchandise": I think the changes made speak for themselves
 7. "Usage in media": Spelled everything out in sentences

The article still has some flaws (Twitter is not a reliable source, formatting of citations etc) but I think the article can be easily brought to GA status. I have edited a bit on the structure of the article so it looks better to the reader. Hope I could help; best, Cartoon network freak (talk) 23:54, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see you made this recently, I personally think it would be better if the article was moved to something like The Powerpuff Girls (team), I think the current naming is a bit awkward and in difference from trios like Huey, Dewey, and Louie I think they're direfernt enough in personlity and reception to warrant individual articles (which is something I've been planing to do for a while now). Charts

For your chart, the most important question is probably "will you need it to be easy for editors to update"? Module:Graph and Module:Chart use wikitext, but the output is fairly basic per the examples on those pages. You can also see User:Begoon/sandbox/casualties for an example of practical application.

If it won't need updating often then a custom graphic, like File:Armenian property in Istanbul.svg, File:Masses of gas giants.svg, File:Percentage distribution of Malaysian population by religion, 2010.svg, File:Cosmological Composition – Pie Chart.svg can be created (don't worry that those are all pies, bars are just as possible). The obvious advantage is that you can have any "look" you want - the drawback is you'll need someone who understands graphics if it needs updating. -- Begoon 05:30, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Just a quick note to say I haven't forgotten your bar chart. I have started it, but I've been busy, and haven't had the time to sit down and concentrate. I'll finish it off during the week. Cheers. -- Begoon 14:09, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

List of R-rated films based on comics

Thank you for keeping my edits. I watch many comic book movies, especially R-rated films. The list was lacking several important R-rated comic book movies. I have worked on the page for months adding R-rated comic book films. I included animated films, direct to dvd, and foreign films in the list. I highly recommend Akira, Fritz the Cat, and Blue Is the Warmest Colour from my additions. I want to educate people with the many adult comic book movies made over the past 40 years. Thank you for understanding. Cardei012597 (talk) 03:29, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I read your message yesterday about wanting to sort Thunderbolt from Johnny Thunder. First, we'll have to gather Thunderbolt's history, his abilities, and his media appearances while referencing the history. Once it has passed the sandbox page, we'll be able to make it an official page and list it under the Justice Society template as Johnny Thunder & Thunderbolt. What do you think? --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:49, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Of course we can also use the page to list the other characters that have been named Thunderbolt as well. There are other Thunderbolts besides the one that is associated with Johnny Thunder. I did see your redirect yesterday after sending yesterday's message. --Rtkat3 (talk) 14:52, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
We can list those similar Thunderbolts under the "Other characters named Thunderbolt" section as well. --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:36, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Black Panther Edits

Hello Jhenderson777. I am messaging you to ask about the recent edits that I made to the Black Panther article. I saw that you had undone the "Enemies" section that I had added to the article. I was wondering why you deleted the section, and if there is anyway you or the other editors could reconsider this deletion. I added the section because I thought that these enemies were iconic to the franchise and deserved to be featured as a section, much like the "other black panthers" section. The section was brief but I expected anyone to add on to it if they wanted to. I understand that there is a page for supporting characters, but the characters in the "other black panthers" were also there too. I saw no harm in adding that section because I had suggested it in the talk page over a week ago and had received no objections to my ideas. Please write back as soon as you can. Thank you.

My congratulations for establishing the Cletus Kasady page in light of making the Carnage page list the symbiote and info on it's hosts. As for the Black Panther thing above, we would need information enough to start a page that would sort the villains from the supporting characters just like how other pages have articles for the enemies of other superheroes. What do you think? --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:03, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:16, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was wondering if you have heard that there is an upcoming event in Marvel Comics called Spider-Geddon. That is going to introduce more spider characters. One issue speculated one version where Norman Osborn is Spider-Man and other issue is speculating a version of Peter Parker who saved Uncle Ben's life through a blood transfusion. The overall issue is that the Inheritors are going to return. There was a page for both Spider-Geddon and the Inheritors on this website, but they got merged to Spider-Verse by Namenamenamenamename due the lack of notability. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:58, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work on the Inheritors. Someone was able to restore the Spider-Geddon page which will help chronicle the event and it's tie-ins as well as being able to link any new Spider characters from the Alternative versions of Spider-Man page. --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:06, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Superman (Salkind films), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Christopher Reeves (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Spider-Girl and usurping titles

Just FYI, when you moved Spider-Girl to Spider-Girl (Mayday Parker), then turned the former into a new article (usurping the redirect title), you potentially disrupted hundreds of incoming links, most presumably intended for Mayday Parker (see Special:WhatLinksHere/Spider-Girl). It is highly recommended that you seek to correct incoming links to the intended and/or most appropriate target, per WP:UPT and/or discuss and reach consensus on potentially disruptive moves before implementing them. Hi. I see in a recent addition to Vision (comics) you included material moved from Vision (Jonas). That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you moved the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this legal requirement when copying within Wikipedia in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 08:26, 22 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Take part in a survey

Hi Jhenderson777

We're working to measure the value of Wikipedia in economic terms. We want to ask you some questions about how you value being able to edit Wikipedia.

Our survey should take about 10-15 minutes of your time. We hope that you will enjoy it and find the questions interesting. All answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be anonymized before the aggregate results are published. Regretfully, we can only accept responses from people who live in the US due to restrictions in our grant-based funding.

As a reward for your participation, we will randomly pick 1 out of every 5 participants and give them $25 worth of goods of their choice from the Wikipedia store (e.g. Wikipedia themed t-shirts). Note that we can only reward you if you are based in the US.

Click here to access the survey: https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eXJcEhLKioNHuJv

You met your doom, mortal... the day you met REDACTO, the Human Eraser!

Dear REDACTO, why are you doing stuff like this (it's merge of a stand-alone article into a list article, with the "fictional character biography" material removed)? Do you just not like "fictional character biography" sections? Or stand-alone articles? Or what? I wouldn't think it's a sourcing problem, since the sources are mostly to the actual source material. Hi. I see you are starting a page for Spider-Punk. I will help in the page in whatever way possible like the addition of the version that appeared in Ultimate Spider-Man that is voiced by Drake Bell. Do you think the Marvel Cinematic Universe version should have his own page by the time Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out? Notice

The article Peter Parker (Spider-Man film series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is a WP:CFORK of Spider-Man. A merge is not really required for this one. This does not meet WP:SPINOFF. The franchise the character is associated to is a comic book adaption rather than original creation. Though a popular character, there are many adaptions of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, and they don't really have any notable depth. WP:UNDUEWEIGHT should be considered in this case. Thanks again for writing. I still think that posting to the Comics WikiProject to get some feedback would be helpful--I can't understand what you're trying to do here but that definitely doesn't mean it's a bad idea. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 23:46, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution (2nd request)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Publication history of Wonder Woman into Wonder Woman (comic book). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:55, 16 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Military Comics moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Military Comics, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying between Wikipedia Pages

Hi Jhenderson777! As Diannaa mentioned a couple of sections above, whenever you copy text from one article to another, you do need to put that fact in the Edit Summary (at very least) stating where it came from. Your splitting off of Johnny Thunder to Johnny Thunder (John Tane) did not do this. I saw you did list it after the fact when another user tagged it for paraphrase, but if you did that when you copied in the material, that is the most preferred way, per our licensing requirements. An edit summary such as: Added content copied from Article Name Copied From, which see for attribution is perfect for that. Please see WP:CWW for the whys and wherefores, and other methods of providing this required attribution. Thanks for all your work! CrowCaw 15:32, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Crow: Yes thank you. Although I did mention did where it came from earlier. See here. Thank you for your work too. Jhenderson 777 15:46, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cobalt Blue (comics)

Cobalt Blue (comics) redirects to List of Flash enemies#Cobalt Blue, but since your 05:30, 24 May 2018 edit removed that section, readers are left hanging. You might want to restore some minimal amount of content from that previous version or the former standalone article's page history. Thanks, wbm1058 (talk) 16:07, 2 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jhenderson777,

I know that I'm *very* late with this information re: Lex Luthor but thought you might be able to use it in your future editing.

Check out the Internet Archive's scanned editions of the United States Copyright Office's official record, The Catalog of Copyright Entries.

Catalog of Copyright Entries 1940 Periodicals Jan-Dec New Series Vol 35 Pt 2 (page 129 in original / page 142 in scan) gives a copyright date of February 23, 1940 for the April issue of Action Comics (#23).

Catalog of Copyright Entries 1940 Periodicals Jan-Dec New Series Vol 35 Pt 2 page 240 gives a copyright date of January 23, 1940 for the Spring 1940 issue of Superman (#4).

Here are other examples of historic issues:

Catalog of Copyright Entries 1939 Periodicals New Series Vol 34 Pt 2 page 164 gives a copyright date of March 30, 1939 for the May issue of Detective Comics (#27).

Catalog of Copyright Entries 1940 Periodicals Jan-Dec New Series Vol 35 Pt 2 page 373 gives a copyright date of November 22, 1940 for the Winter 1940-41 issue of All Star Comics (#3)

In addition to the Internet Archive, you can find various links to other sites with scans of the Catalog of Copyright Entries here Copyright Catalog#Catalog reprints.

It should be pointed out that while we as readers/collectors of comic books look at sales dates, if DC Comics (or any other publisher) needed to defend their copyright in a legal action, they would be using the Copyright Office's information first and foremost. [Please note that I am not an attorney!]

Finally because the Catalog of Copyright Entries is a work of the United States Government, it is in the public domain. Feel free to take a screen shot of any relevant information and post it anywhere as per Wikipedia:Public domain image resources.

Let me know if I can assist in any future searches.

AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!

Greetings!

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.

The AfroCine Project welcomes you to October, the first out of the two months which have been dedicated to creating and improving content that centre around the cinema of Africa, the Caribbean, and the diaspora. Join us in this global edit-a-thon, by helping to create or expand articles which are connected to this scope. Also remember to list your name under the participants section.

On English Wikipedia, we would be recognizing participants in the following manner:

 • Overall winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd places)
 • Diversity winner
 • Gender-gap fillers

For further information about the contest, the recognition categories and how to participate, please visit the contest page here. For further inquiries, please leave comments on the contest talkpage or on the main project talkpage. See you around :).--Jamie Tubers (talk) 00:50, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In all honesty

I used to be an inclusionist. Some of my first entries where trivial places from Honorverse, pure fancruft as I'd judge them today. But that war was lost when notability policies evolved. Now all such articles have better homes at wikia (fandom), with only some retained here. Frankly, if anything annoys me about this is that there is a user or two who insist on removing any mention of those websites ([2], [3]), which I find counterproductive in light of WP:BTW. In the end, it's not that having an entry for all Pokemons is impossible, but if we lower our standards for them, it makes it difficult to enforce them for other things (like, all books, all products, all shops, all people...). Removing fancruft is more along the lines of enforcing WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, really. A pleasant diversion from fighting with real spammers who get paid for pushing PR pieces for their customers (companies, people, etc). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:37, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comic book elements planned for deletion

On some of the pages that you contested the deletion for, I have noticed that you supported the keep for them and have backed you up on them. For the part on Big Man, I had originally established that page as a set index to detail the other Big Man characters like the one in Marvel Comics 2. I just wanted to let you know that. --Rtkat3 (talk) 16:53, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Goblin (Marvel Comics)

Now that Goblin (Marvel Comics) has been redirected to List of Spider-Man enemies (I actually plan on filing an WP:ANI report pretty soon in regard to the blind spammings that are currently taking place at WP:AFD; the user in question has displayed tendencies of WP:POINT, WP:BATTLEGROUND, WP:IDHT, and several others, and has been banned from fictional character deletion discussions for similar behaviours in the past), a Goblin section should probably be added to the article or created as a disambiguation page (not to be confused with the hubpage that just got redirected). Despite TTN, Piotrus, and JIP claiming WP:OR, several primary and secondary sources were listed confirming the connection between the characters, so the claims that the article was "a collection of unrelated topics" objectively holds no water.
