Astara County (Persian: شهرستان آستارا) is in Gilan province, in northwestern Iran. Its capital is the city of Astara.[3]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 79,416 in 20,725 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 86,757 people in 25,176 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 91,257 in 28,742 households.[2]
