Daler Singh, born on August 18, 1967, and widely recognized as Daler Mehndi, is an influential Indian singer, songwriter, author, and record producer. A pioneer in promoting Bhangra globally, he played a significant role in elevating Indian pop music beyond the Bollywood sphere. Daler Mehndi was born into a Sikh family in Patna, Bihar, India. In 1991, he formed a musical group consisting of his brothers, cousins, and friends, marking the beginning of his journey in the music industry. His talents were soon recognized on an international scale, and in 1994, he won the prestigious Voice of Asia International Ethnic and Pop Music Contest held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, further solidifying his place in the world of music.

In 1993, Daler Mehndi signed three albums with Magnasound marking mainstream success.
