Fountain to a Rose was a historic fountain in Portland, Oregon located in Darcelle XV Plaza (formerly O'Bryant Square). It was removed in 2023 as part of the park's redevelopment.
Description and history
[edit]Built in 1973, the fountain is bronze and in the shape of a rose. It is surrounded by 250 rose bushes and other plants. An inscription says "May you find peace in this garden." The fountain was made possible through a $28,000 bequest from Donald Card Sloan, who was a former prime minister of the Royal Rosarians.[1]
In 2023, as part of the park's redevelopment, the fountain was removed.
