Changes made in edit

Keep Scotland in Britain is the cross-party group that will be campaigning for a no vote in the Scottish independence referendum. It will be launched in early 2012.

Unionist politicians from both Scotland and England intend to work together to build a case for retaining the Union. Former Chancellor Alistair Darling (Labour) and former Liberal Democrat leader Charles Kennedy are expected to have prominent roles in the organisation.

Although the figurehead of the campaign has not yet been agreed upon, both the Conservative Party and the Liberal Democrats have already agreed that it must be a Labour Party politician. A decision will be made after the result of the Scottish Labour leadership election is announced on 17 December 2011.
