Chapter 2 of the Aitreya Upanisad concerns deities falling into the ocean and requiring food. The Poetic Edda's Hymiskvitha concerns gods in the sea asking for drink. Where, in the ancient world is the link between such disparate literatures? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nawrem (talkcontribs) 22:34, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is quite a good introduction. However it an introduction so many descriptions of Chapters, such as "Chapter 3, treats technicalities of several other homas and yajnas." are completely meaningless to someone who would be reading introductions and knows neither what "homas" or "yajnas" refer to. I realize that explanations of all these terms is impossible within the scope of the article, but to have so many unexplained terms is alienating. Perhaps a simpler description of the books, without reference to individual chapters, would be better.

But again, thanks for what is there.
