The rifle that Asuka uses is a standard NERV "Positron rifle". The one Rei uses is different; is it the same as the Super Positron Rifle used in episode 6, or just another sniper rifle?--Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici 16:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Asuka's hate

[edit]

It's been a while since I've watched the series, so my memory's fuzzy: In the scene when Asuka's talking about not wanting to be near anything that Shinji or Misato have used, does she say the stuff about everyone she hates there? I was thinking that was when she was spending the night with Hikari...or is it in both? Willbyr (talk | contribs) 21:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Both. The whole series was recently uploaded onto Youtube so that's what I'm going off of (search around you'll find it...note that I'm not specifically saying where to keep everything street-legal).--->Of course, that's not even getting into the fact that the Platinum DVD's that had Deleted Scenes (21 through 26) apparently re-recorded ALL of the dialogue, not just the deleted scenes; probably because if they couldn't get the Gendo voice-actor back they didn't want him to have one voice in the deleted scenes and one voice in the rest. In any event, I only recently noticed (i.e. Ritsuko's "that bitch!" line) that the script itself has been altered in pre-existing scenes. Well, that's another task to get to eventually...btw, the "Deleted scenes" are from the Platinum DVD, right? I assumed they were... --Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici 21:38, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, they're from the Platinum DVDs. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 03:10, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In America, they were originally released on this DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Neon-Genesis-Evangelion-Directors-Episodes/dp/B00011ZBUW along with another(you can find on the same link). 71.87.174.31 14:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Deleted Scenes"

[edit]

WHEN have the sequences added to the LD version of Episodes 21-24 EVER been called "Deleted Scenes"? I suggest that the entire section be re-named. Xenofan 29A 04:25, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The same thing, of course, applies to the rest of those episodes as well. Xenofan 29A 04:26, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I should have called them "Director's Cut scenes"...just a minute....--Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici 05:07, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Notes

[edit]

This section needs to be integrated into the body of the plot summary. Xenofan 29A 02:08, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I was looking at the MoS for TV episodes, and it specifically states that writeups of an episode's plot cannot be so detailed that they essentially give away all the details of the episode...there's a rough guide of words per unit of screen time there. Combining the two sections would run roughshod over this. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 04:13, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Remember, MoSs are just guidelines to be overridden on a as-needed basis. They're advice, not mandatory policy. The reason it says that is because of copyright concerns - the courts have apparently said that if a summary is so detailed that it approaches the length of the original and can be reasonably construed as a replacement for the original, it's a derivative work, and we all know how well derivative works of proprietary media and Wikipedia's Free content approach mix... --Gwern (contribs) 13:31 1 September 2007 (GMT)

Director's Cut -> Platinum Edition

[edit]

The article says that the "Platinum Edition" is what released the new footage for episodes 21-24. But in America, it was the Director's Cut DVDs that originally released this footage, which was later included on the Platinum edition. I don't know, though, how it was originally released in Japan. Regardless, it should probably be changed. 71.87.174.31 14:13, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
