This article seems to jump around from career, to personal, to other information. Other biographies are divided into Categories like Career, Education, Early Life that organize the information. If any interest, I'll take a try at it. Misstory14:06, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Vargas can be considered the first de facto solo woman evening news anchor, given that she anchored many broadcasts alone after Bob Woodruff's injury in Iraq in January 2006. I understand the point that's being made here, but I think this is WP:OR or WP:POV. What's the definition of "de facto solo"? JTRH (talk) 11:41, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"...born... to... a former colonel in the U.S. Army..."
I just watched World News Tonight (January 24) and it aired a piece about Elizabeth Vargas to mark her return to ABC News (on 20/20) later tonight. In the piece (which included excerpts from an interview with her), David Muir said her father was deployed to Vietnam when she was 6. To call him a former colonel in the sentence about her birth gives the incorrect impression that he wasn't in the Army when she was born unless he actually wasn't and he rejoined the Army sometime later. --anon. 71.183.139.60 (talk) 00:39, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This article does not yet have a photo. This is quite surprising as she is a public figure. Surely there must exist a pic that meets Wikipedia's stringent requirements governing such. User:SeaBeeDee(talk)16:25, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
