Unattributed photos

[edit]

The first photo (Gaiety_Theater_01b_-_Marquee.jpg) added to this article is great. I've seen it on the web before, but don't remember where. The problem is that the photo isn't attributed, and more seriously, it's copyright status isn't indicated. As the notice says on the image page, it (and the other two photos) will be removed if the requested data isn't forthcoming, or it's copyright is being violated. And that would be a shame, since the photo really adds to the article. Any way you, ValleyDwellerNorth, or anyone else, can clear this up, if possible, so this photo can be used here? Category:LGBT culture in the United States

[edit]

Bearcat: Why did you remove the LGBT culture category from this article? It would seem to me that based on the history of the Gaiety (Madonna and other notables, its long life, a NYT article on it's closing, etc.), that it was a major cultural icon of gay life in NYC, as well as in the US. The Gaiety was important to gay cultural life for almost 30 years. Not high culture, but culture never the less. The Continental Baths are listed under that category. Unsourced content

[edit]

We need to reliably source several items:

  • Date Gaiety opened: 1975 or 1976
  • List of dancers. This is a potential BLP issue, at least for some of them. The following names don't have any sourcing listed:
  1. Will Clark
  2. Billy Brandt
  3. Chris Williams
  4. Christian Fox
  5. Gianfranco
  6. Carlos Morales
  7. Rod Barry
  8. Jason Adonis
  9. Tristan Adonis
  10. Hunter James
  11. Mark Dalton
  12. Johnny Harden
  13. Kip Knoll
  14. Leo Ford
  15. Angelo Garcia
