A fact from Hebrew Socialist Union in London appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 8 November 2009 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Yes, the thread title doesn't address the objective subject (although this is mentioned on the talk page) but what else is new? Like numerous other cases, it is I believe nonetheless the main article on said subject, i.e. it sits on the name space which would be something like Jews and Socialism. Perhaps. That is objective and not about some opprobrium but it fails too to be on the topic of the roles of Jews in the development of extant and other forms of Socialism, where their contribution far outweighs all other ethnic groups combined. There may be such an article, I remember posting something about the role of Socialism in re the Kibbutz movement, etc. someplace but there's a lot of churn in this particular thematic space. Anything to do with Jews tends to generate more heat than light and it's usually not generally worth the effort, as in the case of even a well sourced mention of an individuals being jewish. Also, one could equate "left" with "socialism" given a definition of the later such as I propose in archive 11 of talk:Socialism, however no such consensus definition exists. In the common wiki editors sense of the encyclopædic, and perhaps in fact, jewish socialism is a very proper subset of jewish left. Lycurgus (talk) 20:04, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
