Smith and Larsson

[edit]

Do not have medals yet, do not add them till confirmation from the FA is confirmed. Eastlygod 17:38, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On Larsson's page it lists 12 apperances which is above a quater so presumably he should have one, i cannot find an official list on the premierleague website (above link doesn't work). Any ideas? --Greatestrowerever (talk) 14:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Someone had listed all his United appearences, not just the league ones. In any case, as far as I remember, United offered to have him apply for on e, but he turned it down as he didn't feel he contributed enough to warrent it. --Eastlygod (talk) 01:12, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It says on larsson's profile that he got a medal through special dispensation but not on this page which one of them is wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.74.48 (talk) 00:14, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Any further update on this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by DragTian (talkcontribs) 13:32, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First Oceania Player to win Premier League Medal

[edit]

Robbie Slater (Australia)with Blackburn Rovers 1994-95 was a winner before Mark Bosnich (Australia)with Manchester United 1999-00 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.164.19.36 (talk) 06:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pique & Kuzczack

[edit]

Are Manchester United only at the application stage of getting these two a winners medal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.202.74.5 (talk) 01:03, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New sortable table with more information

[edit]

Hi,

I've taken this table and given it an overhaul in my userspace. It is now (nearly) fully sortable and includes information on nationalities and positions too. If anyone thinks it would be useful, and could replace the table here, please contact me. I am happy to keep it in my userspace if not, as it is useful for other work I do.

My aim is to take the table and quickly develop other stats from it, such as number of Australians to win a medal, number of Man Utd players to win a medal, number of goalkeepers, list of captains, etc. etc.

Anyway, the list is here: User:Mdcollins1984/Premier League winners statistics

Best wishes, –MDCollins (talk) 00:18, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right - I've been bold and replaced the article with my updated one. Hope you like it.–MDCollins (talk) 00:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nemanja Vidic

[edit]

I haven'tmade this change because I'm not aware if there is some technicality - but doesn't Nemanja Vidic have two Premiership medals? The table states that Mateja Kezman is the only Serb with a medal, which I believe is false. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.80.13.9 (talk) 23:55, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vidic is listed as having two medals (at least he is now anyway). I have increased Serbia's tally to 2. The list hasn't been fully checked - difficulty with actual sources of medals presented, so feel free to correct any mistakes or notify them here.–MDCollins (talk) 00:17, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Smertin and Jarosik

[edit]

How about Smertin and Jarosik 04/05? I believe both of them made more than 10 PL apperances. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.243.198.90 (talk) 14:44, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like you're right - feel free to add them into all of the sections. This is by no means a completely confirmed list. If anyone can find references of the squad stats for each winning season, that would be very useful (and necessary to achieve Featured List status. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MDCollins (talkcontribs) 15:11, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wes Brown

[edit]

The page list Wes Brown as having won a EPL winner medal for 2008-2009 season. However, he played only a total of 8 games (2 of which he came in as a reserve). He was not among the players who went up to receive a medal in Man Utd's second last match of the season —Preceding unsigned comment added by DragTian (talkcontribs) 13:31, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Igors Stepanovs

[edit]

Latvia is listed as a country with a winner but he isn't in the table below as a player with a winners medal. I have added him.Statto74 (talk) 11:40, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nat vs. Nationality

[edit]

Currently the table displays an abbreviated three letter nationality rather than the full name. I amended this as the table is wide enough to allow for the full nationality and linked the national team rather than the nation's page as this is a football article. Does anyone have any objections to this? Felixsv7 (talk) 20:29, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes: it's wrong to link to national teams when the heading makes it clear that the column is for nationalities, not national team representation. And the sources used don't support national team representation, in any case. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:58, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have no issue with it linking to the nation but don't think that it requires abbreviation. Also as a football page, it is probably more convenient for those using this page for information to link to the national team yet it is clear, due to the column header, that the table itself is only referring to nationality rather than national team. I welcome any input though. Felixsv7 (talk) 21:18, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Blackburn players

[edit]

Just watched the final game of the 95 season so thought I’d see what Blackburn players won a premiership medal but doesn’t show any? 62.60.112.174 (talk) 00:29, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@62.60.112.174: There are 15 Blackburn players on the list, I'm not sure why you're not able to see them. Mattythewhite (talk) 00:38, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Carson...

[edit]

Having watched the Manchester City players collect their medals after their final game of the season, I saw Scott Carson was a part of the celebrations, which is fair enough since Manchester City (I believe) are given 40 medals to divide up between players, so why does he not feature? I understand that he doesn't meet an appearance threshold, but if he was awarded with a medal, which to me would mean that he has 'won' the Premier League. I'll link a (horrible) source that mentions that he has been given medals for at least the last three seasons. He has been with Manchester City when they have won five Premier League titles (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). MessiIsMyBezzie (talk) 13:26, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Players are included on this list if they are listed as a Premier League winner on their profiles on the Premier League site. Carson doesn't have any titles listed on his profile. Mattythewhite (talk) 13:47, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
