Population: given as "4,62,149" - there's either a figure missing, or it is wrongly formatted. Can someone confirm the correct figure? - MPF 18:35, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

Help
[edit]I don't know why this is rated as low importance, being a third-level subdivision of the country. It's long and has a lot of material, but unfortunately has a lot of early grade-school level language that ranges from ambiguous to incoherent, and I don't have sources and am not familiar with the area enough to fix it. I took a whack at the lead, but when I got down to British Rule, it was more than I could bear at the moment. Please, someone help this article out. :| —[AlanM1(talk)]— 06:43, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
Too many lists
[edit]This page has too many long lists with no discussion or offering any insight. This is not how an encyclopaedic article. Please improve it by adding descriptive prose content using reliable sources. Please see MOS:PROSE. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 23:17, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
