I added the Wiki and POV tags - this sentence is just one example - Tom left a musical legacy to Shetland, not only in his archive of recordings and sheet music, but in the skill and passion which he brought out in so many of his pupils. I have no knowledge of his life / work, but he deserves a better encyclopedic article than at presernt. Thank you,

There seem to be adequate wikilinks, so I removed the wikify tag. I also boldly removed the POV tag, undiscussed for nearly two years now. There is no doubt that he was tremendously influential in collecting and passing along a great body of Shetland fiddling. Just last week (May 2010) I saw a fiddler of Shetland/Orcadian extraction introducing himself on a forum, mentioning with modest pride that he had been so fortunate as to study with him.
