I used the only photograph that I could verify publishing history for. There is a category on commons that has other photographs but 1) the uploader says they made the photograph in 1875, which is impossible. A thorough search on the internet could not verify that it was made in 1875, when it was first published, or who actually made it. 2) the license release is Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International, which did not exist at the time whoever made this photograph made it. While it is clear that it likely originates from the 1860-1880 period without a clear proof of publishing it is impossible to know what US license applies. 3) The will is a public document written in 1920, however, I question whether it was ever published prior to the 21st century, but rather was simply filed in public record. If someone could clear up these issues, the other photographs might be able to be used, but I don't think they can at present. SusunW (talk) 21:20, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
