Warper, Braid Shop
[edit]I came across three Irish women who were enumerated in the 1920 Federal Census for Rhode Island as warpers. It might be useful to include the occupation "warper" in this article and to create a Warper redirect. Two of the census records are transcribed and available online and appropriate for sourcing. One shows a woman as working in a braid shop and the other in a cotton mill. The 1880 US Census describes job categories of Warper in a Wool Mill and Woolen Warper. --Pat (talk) 07:02, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
