I made a discussion on the talk page there and this still appears to be consensus, with (video gamer) as a third option based on precedence, the above discussion, and the unclosed discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Video_games/Archive_117#Disambiguation after which User:Izno created rule #11 specifically proscribing only "gamer" and "video game player". All but one of these above already have (video gamer) parenthetical redirects due to moves by User:Prisencolin citing WP:COMMONNAME and WP:ASTONISH, neither of which seem to apply to the parentheticals, but also cited WP:RECOGNIZABLE through analogy to pages of other sportspeople at Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(sportspeople)#Disambiguation which don't use simply (athlete) or (sports player). However, they were moved before the introduction of the guideline by Izno and were promoted by Prisencolin, among others, in the archived disambiguation discussion above. Currently, the options are: #Move (League of Legends player) articles to (gamer) – supported by guidelines, but there are exactly two articles with this parenthetical: Life (gamer) and Saiyan (gamer) #Move (League of Legends player) articles to (video game player) – supported by guidelines, but there are only 6 articles with this parenthetical #Move (League of Legends player) articles to (video gamer) – not supported by the guidelines, but were and are still more prevalent in article titles than either of the two options above #Move (League of Legends player) articles to (eSports) – through analogy with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (sportspeople), although this was opposed in the archive discussion #Move Faker (video game player) to Faker (League of Legends player) – this is supported by User:Prisencolin and the fact that his moves still stand. He proposed this . This may be as or even more prevalent than (video gamer) although I haven't been able to find a tool to count these. I have limited this to League of Legends players due to time constraints, but literally all eSports players with ambiguous names could be moved using any of the specific rationales above.}}
