How I ended up here[edit]One of the things I enjoy most is going from a Wikipedia entry I used to answer a quick question to following any number of links that spark my curiosity. (You might even gather this from my sometimes random, often minor contributions.) I’ll admit, I have a hard time letting little things go. So my first edits, and even the decision to make an account, were largely because when I saw an inconsistently spelled name or missing punctuation, I thought, well, that couldn’t be too difficult to fix. And someone really ought to. And I’m already here. Who knows the next time someone else might come along? In a way, I see Wikipedia as a way to pass it forward to a stranger. Someone took the care to build an entry from nothing, and others continued shaping it, trusting that, at some point, it may answer another's query or fulfill their curiosity. |
