[edit]- Italy–Montenegro relations: nominated at AfD; notified Plumoyr (talk · contribs) 21:09, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:GNG. Nothing here that cannot be covered under Foreign relations of Italy or Foreign relations of Montenegro.
- Eugene Stanaland: nominated at AfD; notified Yoblyblob (talk · contribs) 13:10, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Contested PROD. Subject fails WP:NPOL as a local politician and WP:NACADEMIC. Fails WP:GNG; none of the handful of reliable, secondary, independent sources in the article (or in WP:BEFORE search) pass the WP:SIGCOV test.
- Road 89 (Iran): nominated at AfD; notified Arman.Farsi57 (talk · contribs) 16:16, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Contested PROD. I cannot find any evidence that Road 89 actually exists. The Google Map between the purported termini does not show any road labels (where it does show others in the area. One of the two provided sources is a map that shows multiple labels on the route, none that match the Farsi script for 89. The other source appears to be about the paving of a road in Gowharan, Hormozgan, but it says nothing about Road 89. The Wikipedia article List of roads and highways in Iran has nothing on it. With the sources failing verification and no other sources to be found, even if it exists, it's certainly not notable.
- Jeff Johnson (labor leader): nominated at AfD; notified Mathieulalie (talk · contribs) 16:51, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: BLP of questionable notability. I encountered this page during New Page Review and after discussion with the author provided some time for additional sourcing. However, after a couple weeks the sources provided do not meet the standard for WP:NBIO or WP:GNG. A quick review:*Source 1, 5, 13, and 19 are oral histories or personal papers/writing by the subject and thus primary sources. Source 5 also includes an unattributed biographical note, but it is published by the Labor Archives of Washington, which cannot be an independent source on the topic of Jeff Johnson, a local labor leader. The union alliance that Johnson led is listed as a major funder of the archives and Johnson was himself a board director of the Labor Archives.*Source 2 is to WP:BALLOTPEDIA, about whose reliability there is no consensus.*Sources 3 and 8 are to a newsletter published by Johnson's organization and thus not independent.*Sources 4, 6, and 7 are to a labor-specific industry publication and thus ineligible for notability per WP:TRADES. *Source 9 and 11 are local news blogs that are mostly reprints/paraphrases of an organizational press release.*Sources 12 and 14-18 are WP:ROUTINE coverage of Johnson in articles that focus on other issues on which he is invited to comment. In my analysis, that leaves only Source 10 to count as significant coverage, and we'd need to see more for this to pass notability thresholds.
- Peter Shapiro (journalist): nominated at AfD; notified Vitrubiofunk (talk · contribs) 16:30, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Journalist falls short of WP:NBIO and WP:GNG tests; no evidence of WP:SIGCOV of him separate from his own writing and coverage of his books. (His book "Turn the Beat Around" would likely pass WP:NBOOK if an article were created on it, but Shapiro's notability cannot be WP:INHERITED from it.)
July 2024
[edit]- List of women bishops in the Anglican Church of Australia: nominated at AfD; notified LPascal (talk · contribs) 17:20, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:NLIST (no evidence that reliable, secondary, independent sources discuss Australian female Anglican bishops as a group versus discussing them individually), and fails WP:NOPAGE as a WP:CONTENTFORK of List of female Anglican bishops.
August 2024
[edit]- Fracket: nominated at AfD; notified 9t5 (talk · contribs) 19:20, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This stub-length definition of a supposed neologism fails WP:NOTNEO, WP:NOTDICTIONARY. This belongs in Wiktionary, not Wikipedia. Contested PROD.
- Peter Crippen Mill House: nominated at AfD; notified CaptJayRuffins (talk · contribs) 15:05, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article is half about a figure in history, Peter Crippen, and half about his house. However, there is no significant coverage for Crippen under WP:GNG or WP:NBIO. Coverage for the house is limited to the state historic preservation nomination form, but the house does not appear to actually be listed on any state or national registers (yet), making it ineligible under WP:NBUILDING. The nomination form itself may be considered a secondary source under WP:GNG, but it is based on primary sources and two unpublished manuscripts on file at a state office; we need multiple secondary sources. I propose to draftify as an AtD, particularly if the building receives designation on the National Register in the near future.
- Mga Mata ni Anghelita: nominated at AfD; notified THX2046 (talk · contribs) 17:40, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Given its edit history, you'd expect this 70-episode primetime soap to have WP:SIGCOV in independent, reliable sources. But the only sources in the article are WP:PRIMARYSOURCEs (the link to its YouTube page) or tabloid content that includes WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS of the series (and is otherwise excluded as SIGCOV under WP:SBST). My WP:BEFORE search turns up nothing else beyond a WP:PRESSRELEASE, and the only reviews I found were on WP:USERGENERATED blogs. I am OK with outright deletion or a redirect to GMA Network, but given the page's history, I believe an AfD consensus will be necessary to make the redirect stick.
- Love Brand & Co.: nominated at AfD; notified Iamsuperingbo (talk · contribs) 18:07, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This promotional article was refunded after soft deletion with [Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion/Archive_400#Love_Brand_%26_Co. a promise from a quickie-autoconfirmed SPA] that "I have gathered a few new sources to support the article." However, a week later, the article is untouched, and this subject still fails WP:NCORP. The sources are a mix of primary sources, promotional fluff, sponsored content, trivial mentions, user-generated content, interviews, and churnalism -- none of it WP:SIGCOV in WP:SIRS.
- Cinemax (India): nominated at AfD; notified Urprakhar (talk · contribs) 19:23, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This subject fails WP:NCORP as a standalone article; sources are all WP:ORGTRIV. Propose to restore a redirect to PVR INOX, which purchased this company. (A merger discussion was inconclusive and editors have contested a subsequent merge and redirect, making an AfD consensus helpful here.)
- Amel Rachedi: nominated at AfD; notified Fivegee (talk · contribs) 01:52, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not finding sufficient WP:SIGCOV of this individual who "presents" a show on her own Instagram channel to meet WP:GNG. She doesn't appear to meet any SNG either. There's just this story in WalesOnline; the rest is tabloid coverage excluded as SIGCOV under WP:SBST, or it's in unreliable sources like Forbes contributors.
- Thomás Keenan: nominated at AfD; notified Janjohansens (talk · contribs) 19:33, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Digital humanitarian responses: nominated at AfD; notified OliveTree39 (talk · contribs) 20:15, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: "Digital humanitarian responses" is not a distinct concept discussed in reliable sources. It appears as a text string along with other words used to describe online and mobile transmission of foreign aid and relief funds. (The sources in this article with one or two exceptions do not even refer to the text string.) This WP:NOESSAY is thus WP:SYNTH and violates WP:NOR, failing the WP:NOT test of WP:GNG. I would normally try to salvage something from this, but it's almost certainly LLM-generated (GPTZero: 91% chance), and given the lack of conceptual integrity and low likelihood users would search for this (its pageview count is very low), I recommend outright deletion.
- My Name Is Mangamma: nominated at AfD; notified Arnav19 (talk · contribs) 23:30, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: No evidence for notability under WP:GNG or WP:TVSERIES; coverage is limited to tabloid journalism and thus not WP:SIGCOV per WP:SBST. Proposing a redirect to List of programmes broadcast by Zee Tamil (India)
- Edwardsville Formation: nominated at AfD; notified Abyssal (talk · contribs) 14:10, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There is insufficient WP:SIGCOV of this geological formation for a standalone article under WP:GNG. A stable redirect to Borden Formation#Edwardsville Formation has been repeatedly undone, but despite ample time the editor has done nothing to add additional sources or expand the stub. I propose an AfD consensus to firmly establish the previous redirect, not to preclude expansion in the future should SIGCOV be produced.
- Jay Knox: nominated at AfD; notified Wallclockticking (talk · contribs) 18:29, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This DJ/TV host fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. All sources are primary-source official bios or WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS in other coverage. No WP:SIGCOV appears to be available. (NB: It is listed as a second nomination, but the first nomination's article was likely about a different Jay Knox.)
- Felix LaHaye: nominated at AfD; notified Isabelle Blake (talk · contribs) 21:59, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This businessperson biography fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. Despite being a WP:REFBOMB, sourcing is limited to WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS, media WP:INTERVIEWS, unreliable sources (a la Forbes Contributors) and affiliated sources (profiles on his university's website) to synthesize notability that doesn't exist. There's only one source that gets close to WP:SIGCOV (here) and even that is mostly interview-based. The 30-under-30-type awards received do not meet the award test of WP:ANYBIO.
- Ali Mobaraki: nominated at AfD; notified Kahnujmed (talk · contribs) 23:18, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This was deleted in 2022 with editors noting that they couldn't even find basic stats pages. It's been recreated with no additional evidence that this football player passes WP:NSPORT, much less WP:GNG. The only sources are WP:ROUTINE coverage of matches and transfers in Iran; no WP:SIGCOV at all and not even any of the common stats profile pages. There's also insufficient evidence for the claim he plays or played for Sporting CP B; the only source for that claim is this dodgy-looking article, but this player has never appeared on the Sporting CP B roster or anywhere on Sporting CP's website.
- Harry Eaton (actor): nominated at AfD; notified Discoball333 (talk · contribs) 14:12, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable actor; fails WP:GNG, WP:NBIO, WP:NACTOR. Roles have been minor parts. Sources are either primary (the actor's Instagram page) or WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS of an upcoming supporting role in a single episode of an Outlander spinoff. BEFORE search turns up no WP:SIGCOV to support GNG. Contested PROD so bringing to AfD.
- Arun Kumar Mehta: nominated at AfD; notified Athem108 (talk · contribs) 13:21, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: As prophesied, this page is immediately back after soft deletion. This biography of an Indian civil servant fails WP:NPOL, WP:GNG, WP:NBIO. There is no WP:SIGCOV of the individual in reliable, independent, secondary sources. Sourcing is limited to WP:ROUTINE coverage and WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS that refer to him in the context of his former role while covering other subjects. (For example, the awards he is purported to have received were granted to the Jammu and Kashmir government and accepted by Mehta on its behalf.) There is no other WP:SIGCOV in sources considered reliable under WP:NEWSORGINDIA.
- Nathaniel Jenkins: nominated at AfD; notified GoBirdsPHL (talk · contribs) 19:18, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Bio of an academic fails WP:GNG. I also cannot find any evidence it passes a criterion of WP:NACADEMIC; his h-index of 25 is on the low side for an associate professor in the life sciences. None of the awards constitute a pass under WP:ANYBIO. We don't have any third-party or non-primary sources in this article, either, and I couldn't find any in a WP:BEFORE search.
- Foreign secretary (Kerala): nominated at AfD; notified Therealbey (talk · contribs) 13:50, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This is not a real government position. The sources all say that a secretary of labour and skills in the Kerala government "will hold the additional charge of the matters connected with external affairs." This has apparently been seized upon by political opponents of the Kerala government within India as being a quasi-"foreign secretary" role, but there are no reliable sources that describe it as such; this term is solely attributed to individuals being quoted. This article at best fails WP:NPOV and WP:NRV (and thus fails WP:GNG); at worst it could be considered a WP:HOAX since the office described does not, by any reliable source, exist.
- United Kingdom Backgammon Federation: nominated at AfD; notified 202.7.230.10 (talk · contribs) 15:17, 28 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Article soft-deleted in 2022, then recreated as a redirect to World Backgammon Federation, then recently recreated with no additional evidence of notability under WP:NORG. A WP:BEFORE search turns up no WP:SIGCOV in WP:SIRS. I would be OK either with outright deletion or with the restoration of a stable redirect per consensus as an AtD.
- List of deputy speakers of the Assam Legislative Assembly: nominated at AfD; notified 2001akselvaraj (talk · contribs) 16:32, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: The subject of this list fails WP:NLIST. The only source is a WP:PRIMARYSOURCE and a WP:BEFORE search turns up no examples of this group of individuals discussed as a group. A category already exists for navigational purposes, but as a standalone list there's no evidence of sufficient notability.
- Harpal Dev Makwana: nominated at AfD; notified R2dra (talk · contribs) 17:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article is part of a WP:WALLEDGARDEN on the Jhala dynasty and Jhala (clan) created by a now-blocked sockmaster. The core sources for these articles are books of purported genealogy published by Jhala family descendants. This article takes someone who is almost certainly a legendary figure and launders the sources to present him as a historical person. He may have been, but the sources do not indicate that:*Genealogy, Archive, Image: Interpreting Dynastic History in Western India is edited by two Jhala family members, including one who presents himself as heir and descendent of Harpal Dev. It includes fantastic stories from the vahi (legendary geneaologies of high-caste Indian families), including Harpal Dev/Harpaldev defeating a ghost in battle and marrying a goddess, Shak-Ti who supernaturally rescues their children from an elephant.*Rajput is a self-published book that repeats and embellishes the same rather fantastic legends.*A Life with Wildlife: From Princely India to the Present is also by a purported descendant of Harpal Dev and retails the same fantastic stories, but at least presents them as legend.*Harpal Dev appears in WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS in several government gazetteers, including some cited in this article]*Popular Culture in a Globalised India is cited for a factual biographical claim, but it only discusses Harpal Dev in the context of a fictional stage play.*The Rajputs of Saurashtra discusses the Jhala Rajputs but says of the Harpal Dev story, "Bardic tales about their migrations from the Himalayan region to Sindh seem to contain little truth."*The article's sources include a few other trivial mentions, including a Who's Who that retails a descendant's claim of descent from Harpal DevBottom line: What WP:SIGCOV we have on Harpal Dev is legend repeated by WP:SPS and WP:COI sources. The independent coverage, such as it is, does not establish him as a historical figure. I know WP:DELETIONISNOTCLEANUP, but with such a compromised article I recommend WP:TNT instead of trying to battle an army of socks claiming legendary stories are real.
- David Van Bik: nominated at AfD; notified Chan H2023 (talk · contribs) 18:19, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: A (very interesting) article about a Bible translator that unfortunately fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO for lack of WP:SIGCOV in secondary, independent, reliable sources. The two main sources for the article are both WP:SPS and thus prima facie unreliable. One is a collection of remembrances by Van Bik's friend; the other is a self-published (Xulon Press) book by a close friend of Van Bik and thus not independent. A WP:BEFORE search turns up nothing else of use. Don't see a valid redirect target.
- Pablo Pereiro Lage: nominated at AfD; notified 6Stammgast6 (talk · contribs) 12:19, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article -- a biography of a businessman who fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO -- was recreated after being deleted following an expired PROD. The sources are all WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS in the context of his company or WP:PRIMARYSOURCES; there's no WP:SIGCOV in reliable, independent sources. However, there's a twist: the newly created version includes a claim that he was a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies. Interestingly, none of the sources verify that. The source link is dead. He does not appear in Wikipedia's list of members of the 12th_Congress_of_Deputies. To combination of his names appears on the Congress's website, nor do any other links on on the web confirm this statement. Even Pereiro Lage's own webpage makes no reference to being a deputy. (If anyone can provide reliable source evidence that he was indeed a member of the Deputies I will withdraw this nomination under WP:NPOL. Until then, there's no evidence of notability.)
- Graph Tech Guitar Labs: nominated at AfD; notified Bulklana (talk · contribs) 12:29, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:NCORP. The sources are all limited to WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS, WP:TRADES publications and WP:PRIMARYSOURCES. The page creator seems to have grabbed every possible web link referring to this company to stuff into this page, and not one of them contributes to notability. (Nota bene: the now-blocked page creator has acknowledged receiving payment for creating this page.)
- Antier Solutions: nominated at AfD; notified MendadkarH (talk · contribs) 13:16, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Promotional article on a company that fails WP:NCORP. All available sources, both in article and in WP:BEFORE search, are WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS, WP:PRIMARYSOURCES (interviews, press releases, contracts), or sponsored/unreliable content per WP:NEWSORGINDIA.
September 2024
[edit]- Kimeshan Naidoo: nominated at AfD; notified DukeWax (talk · contribs) 19:27, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This somewhat promotional biography of a businessman fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. Despite being a WP:REFBOMB, none of the sources constitute WP:SIGCOV in secondary, independent, reliable sources. They are limited to WP:INTERVIEWS, WP:PRSOURCEs, and WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS. His awards are the kind of "30 under 30" cruft not encompassed by the WP:ANYBIO award criterion.
- Jonathan Wayshak: nominated at AfD; notified Hexatekin (talk · contribs) 15:41, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: The article and a WP:BEFORE search turns up no WP:SIGCOV in independent, secondary, reliable sources for this comic artist -- just WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS and WP:PRIMARYSOURCES. Thus the subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO; the subject also meets no criterion of WP:NARTIST.
- Address to the Nation: nominated at AfD; notified Jonas1015119 (talk · contribs) 16:56, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article is WP:SYNTH and thus fails WP:GNG by violating WP:NOR. The article cites no source describing the concept of an "address to the nation" or "national address" as a global phenomenon; instead, it describes specific examples in particular countries (relying primarily on WP:PRIMARYSOURCES) and strings them together in what is definitionally original research.
- Michal Kolesár: nominated at AfD; notified Newklear007 (talk · contribs) 17:16, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: No evidence this economist passes WP:GNG, WP:NBIO or WP:NACADEMIC. His h-index is 16, less than half of what would be expected for an average full professor in economics, so there's no pass on criterion 1 and no evidence of passing any other criteria. No WP:SIGCOV in independent, reliable sources comes up for a WP:GNG pass either.
- Cheremshyna (ensemble): nominated at AfD; notified BowTieTuba (talk · contribs) 12:33, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Rob Burbea: nominated at AfD; notified Rileystewart (talk · contribs) 14:14, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- John Rowan (high sheriff): nominated at AfD; notified MaybeItsBecauseImALondoner (talk · contribs) 19:50, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There are a handful of WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS of this individual, and there are no other sources suitable to expand this page to an encyclopedic level beyond stub length. Per WP:GNG, this should not be a standalone page.
- Richard Fontaine: nominated at AfD; notified W9793 (talk · contribs) 00:59, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Despite being a prolific writer of op-eds and magazine articles, Fontaine is not himself the subject of any WP:SIGCOV in independent, reliable sources. (The closest example is a press release-based WP:ROUTINE article about his appointment as president of CNAS.) As a result, there's no pass of WP:GNG or WP:NBIO. No other SNGs appear to apply.
- Nuno Pereira (footballer, born 1996): nominated at AfD; notified Alexanderalgrim (talk · contribs) 13:34, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not able to find any WP:SIGCOV of this footballer to meet requirements of WP:NSPORT or WP:GNG. (Nota bene, there's another footballer with the same name but born a different year.)
- C&Rsenal: nominated at AfD; notified Nesayas1234 (talk · contribs) 13:57, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: No evidence this YouTube channel passes WP:GNG or any other notability guidelines. Its only WP:BEFORE "news" coverage outside of this article is on TheFirearmBlog (see WP:BLOGS). The other sources in the article are a Forbes contributor post (which is unreliable) and links to the subject's own channels.
- Alexandros Maskanakis: nominated at AfD; notified BILL1 (talk · contribs) 17:52, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Graham Urquhart: nominated at AfD; notified FinzUp19 (talk · contribs) 18:47, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This article was refunded following soft deletion (see previous discussion here). Despite being refunded nearly a year ago, there's no addition of WP:SIGCOV, and none could be found in a search. Without WP:SIGCOV, this subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NSPORT. (Meanwhile, the subject appears to have been dropped from the Tasman Mako squad, so additional coverage is not likely to be forthcoming.)
- Mihajlo Butraković: nominated at AfD; notified Bora83ns (talk · contribs) 19:08, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Dav Nim: nominated at AfD; notified Das osmnezz (talk · contribs) 19:51, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Article recreated after 2022 deletion, but the sourcing fails to show WP:SIGCOV in independent, reliable sources, and thus the subject once again fails WP:GNG and WP:NSPORT.
- Volga Boat Show: nominated at AfD; notified Volga2018 (talk · contribs) 21:03, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
- IT Journalism Awards: nominated at AfD; notified Laterthanyouthink (talk · contribs) 15:10, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There is no independent WP:SIGCOV for this niche regional industry awards program. All of the coverage is either on the award program's own site, or it's in news outlets touting their own journalists' wins and nominations and thus not independent. A handful of WP:TRADES coverage items as well but that doesn't contribute to notability and thus this subject fails WP:GNG.
- Ōtākaro FC: nominated at AfD; notified StolenThought (talk · contribs) 15:15, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This relatively new youth-only football club fails WP:GNG; there is no WP:SIGCOV of the club in independent, secondary, reliable sources. (It may just be WP:TOOSOON since this club isn't yet two years old, so I would support draftification as an AtD if other editors agree, but deletion is also an appropriate outcome.)
- Mattias Männilaan: nominated at AfD; notified MartinusK (talk · contribs) 22:05, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Fails WP:GNG, WP:NSPORT due to lack of WP:SIGCOV. The PROD contestor proposed several sources on the talk page, but they are all WP:ROUTINE match coverage and transfer news items, none of them providing SIGCOV of this athlete.
- Simón Veras: nominated at AfD; notified Eliasvr09 (talk · contribs) 01:34, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Lee Han Jiet: nominated at AfD; notified Ong Kai Jin (talk · contribs) 15:25, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This biography of a Malaysian YouTuber fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. The sources in the article are tabloid coverage of his engagement (excluded for notability per WP:SBST) and WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS. I couldn't find any other qualifying WP:SIGCOV in my WP:BEFORE search, but given the language barrier happy to revise my opinion if SIGCOV is found.
- Robert Bottini: nominated at AfD; notified Sinbabad (talk · contribs) 15:31, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Football biography fails WP:GNG, WP:NSPORT with no WP:SIGCOV in independent, secondary reliable sources. The only sources are WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS or database directories like this one. He fails WP:NOLYMPIC as a substitute for a team that did not apparently medal. I propose either to delete or to redirect to Football at the 1948 Summer Olympics – Men's team squads as was done earlier this year before being reverted.
- Gustave Ducousso: nominated at AfD; notified Sinbabad (talk · contribs) 15:39, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Another football biography fails WP:GNG, WP:NSPORT with no WP:SIGCOV in independent, secondary reliable sources. The only sources are WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS or database directories like Olympedia. He fails WP:NOLYMPIC as a substitute for a team that did not apparently medal. I propose either to delete or to redirect to Football at the 1948 Summer Olympics – Men's team squads as was done earlier this year before being reverted.
- Bafakhy Yatheemkhana: nominated at AfD; notified Spworld2 (talk · contribs) 19:24, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Richard Lawrence Schieffelin: nominated at AfD; notified MichaelScheufele (talk · contribs) 19:36, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There is virtually no independent secondary coverage of this individual. The sources in the article (and in the WP:BEFORE search) are primarily primary-source documents, except for a book by one of the subject's family members (who is also the self-declared COI creator of this article and a whole WP:WALLEDGARDEN of articles about his family members). The other book source is published by an imprint of unreliable WP:ARCADIA Press. Without [WP:SIGCOV]] independent, secondary sources, this subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO.
- Melony Munro: nominated at AfD; notified 123.21.136.29 (talk · contribs) 19:47, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There is no available WP:SIGCOV of this beauty pageant contestant. Munro's name appears in WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS of the winner of the competitions, but without SIGCOV there's a failure on WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. (Miss International Queen USA itself appears non-notable and as such winning it does not constitute a WP:ANYBIO #3 pass.) I don't see a plausible redirect since Munro has been a third-place contestant in different contests, but open to a suggestion should anyone have one.

- Benjamin Faraas: nominated at AfD; notified Cazza3012 (talk · contribs) 20:20, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Dale Wood (William Lawrence Hansen): nominated at AfD; notified Starlighsky (talk · contribs) 01:19, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There are no secondary sources that provide information about this person; the entire article is based on primary sources and the article itself admits that little is known outside of government copyright documentation. As a result of the lack of significant coverage in reliable secondary sources, the subject of the article fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO.
- Georg Reiter: nominated at AfD; notified IPPON01 (talk · contribs) 20:00, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: There's no WP:SIGCOV of this judoka, just stats pages and WP:ROUTINE coverage (plus an assortment of unreliable sources). Nothing found in WP:BEFORE search so the subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NSPORT.

- Reason: This article is a bundle of WP:SYNTH and WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH to conjure an encyclopedic topic that otherwise fails WP:GNG. In his comment removing the OR maintenance tag, the page creator is technically correct that everything is cited, but there is not one source that provides an overview connecting these incidents and covering antisemitism in Kemp Mill as a combined topic. Instead, the page creator has created a WP:COATRACK on which to hang a series of events over a 35-year period with no reliable sources to connect them except this article. As a result, the article fails WP:GNG and WP:NLIST.

Winning the National Geography Bee seems unlikely to be a WP:ANYBIO #1 pass, since he is the only winner to have had a page created in 30+ years of this competition's history. Finally, I find no reviews in independent, reliable sources for Wojtanik's book, making a pass on WP:NAUTHOR unlikely.

(See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Harpal Dev Makwana for an example of a deleted article in this set and Jhala (clan) for an appropriately sourced version not created by a sockmaster. The core sources for these articles are books of purported genealogy published by Jhala family descendants. This article takes a legendary genealogy and launders the sources to present it as history:The first set of sources are the unreliable ones:*Genealogy, Archive, Image: Interpreting Dynastic History in Western India is edited by two Jhala family members, including one who presents himself as heir and descendent of Harpal Dev and the current head of the so-called "dynasty." It includes fantastic stories from the vahi (legendary geneaologies of high-caste Indian families), for example one figure defeating a ghost in battle and marrying a goddess who supernaturally rescues their children from an elephant.*Ulian's Rajput is a self-published book that repeats and embellishes the same rather fantastic legends.*Kumarapala-prabandha appears to be mostly a repetition of legends*This book is self-published through vanity press Notion Press.Meanwhile, the independent sources do not present any of this legendary genealogy.*Ramusack's The Indian Princes and Their States has a single WP:TRIVIALMENTION of the Jhalas (page 73)*Naravane's The Rajputs of Rajputana has a single paragraph describing the Jhalas as a "minor clan."*Singhji's The Rajputs of Saurashtra discusses the Jhala Rajputs but says of the earlier stories, "Bardic tales about their migrations from the Himalayan region to Sindh seem to contain little truth."Additional sources include WP:RAJ-era surveys of questionable reliability and WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS in a gazetteer. In short, what WP:SIGCOV we have on the Jhala dynasty includes legend repeated by WP:SPS and WP:COI sources. The independent coverage, such as it is, does not establish facts about this dynasty as presented in the article. With an adequately sourced article on the Jhala (clan) I think the best approach to this compromised article is WP:TNT. Bottom line: Fails WP:V and WP:GNG for lack of SIGCOV in independent, reliable, secondary sources.

The sources are all WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS in the context of his company or WP:PRIMARYSOURCES; there's no WP:SIGCOV in reliable, independent sources. This version includes a claim in the infobox that he was a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies. The page creator has wisely foregone the fantastical non-independent sources discussed in the previous AfD, but we still get nowhere close to WP:SIGCOV to establish WP:GNG. A brief analysis:*A series of WP:TRIVIALMENTIONS: History of Mewar has a single mention on page 174; Jhala Zalim Singh has a single name check on page 20; Mewar and the Mughal Emperors has a single paragraph mentioning Ajja; *Maharana Sanga The Hindupat gives another single mention to Jhala Ajja.*A series of colonial-era British sources (also trivial mentions) of questionable reliability per WP:RAJ: History of the Dhrangadhra State (1921) has two trivial mentions on page 69; Rajputana Gazetteer has single trivial mention on p. 128; The Mewar Residency, volume 2 (1908) offers a single reference.*The WP:SELFPUBLISHED Medieval History of Rajasthan, which, even if reliable, gives a single mention to Ajja.Bottom line: this appears to be an effort using WP:SYNTH to fabricate notability out of a series of passing mentions, many in sources of questionable reliablity.

A non-bylined piece in WP:FORBES is not considered reliable. There is also a WP:FOXNEWS profile that reads like churnalism (it is almost entirely based on comments she posted on Facebook). Both Forbes and Fox are of questionable reliability per WP:RSP. Meanwhile, in my WP:BEFORE search I looked for evidence that her book Dreaming Green had been reviewed, but I only found one independent reliable source review and thus she does not qualify under WP:NAUTHOR. Finally, the article claims she is an Emmy and Peabody winner, but the sources for this claim are all affiliated with her (usually her official bio provided with speaking engagements and press releases). The Emmy site does not list her in its list of winners and nominees. (It appears that she may have won a NY Regional Emmy as part of a larger news team, which is generally not considered the kind of "major award" to qualify one under WP:ANYBIO.)
