Previosuly: User:Adishere, blocked for: doing few edits with account User:Trialedit.
I though for a while, what losing Wikipedia would be like, but then the reason why I love it came to my mind, and here I am. Hello Admins and editors, in the following, I am going to explain everything on why my first account (User:Adishere) was blocked (I wrote it from perspective that I will put it in unblock request for Adishere, but here we are):
It all started here. As you would notice in my contribution history(as Adishere), I had an interest in editing articles based on anime which were broadcasted in India. I had recently watched Hagemaru, so I went to read its article. I noticed there that the voice cast section of the article was longer compared to other kid's anime which were magnitudes more popular. On closer inspection I found that the cast section was a hoax, or say for me a blatant hoax. [1] is the revision of article before I edited it even once. You may notice that all of the cast were Indian celebrities and even the tinies role was credited to actors and singers very popular and expensive in India like Vishal Dadlani, Sunidhi Chauhan, Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor, and others. Now for me, I could easily recognize that is was pure vandalism and also as I already mentioned, I had already seen the series (dubbed in Indian language Hindi) so I was sure that the list was completely dubious. It was like cast of avengers and Justin Bieber listed as voice cast of some not so popular old anime. They also had listed that cast from Doraemon was in cameo, which was not. So I just removed it as "Removed Vandalism." and this was reverted for the first time by ClueBot NG as I had removed lot of content and bullet points, so I restored my revision. After this I made few constructive edits and moved the page to draft, improved it a bit and moved back to mainspace. I kept on improving it till this. I had not known David notMD, and I thought they were a vandal, so I just reverted their edits with genuine summary: "Stop Vandalising the page again and again". Now I recognize this as my first big mistake which I apologies, as I directly assumed David notMD was the vandal and did not care to write an edit summary explaining my worries (also I had a dilemma then that summary should not be even slightly long). After this Praxidicae reverted my edits which surprised me given that I knew them due to their interest in India related articles.
Sockpuppet: Trialedit
You can see in my contribution history that I was asking a lot of questions on Wikipedia:Teahouse before getting blocked, and this was because 1) I really wanted to become a good editor, 2) I did not know much of rules and was eager to know them. I even had my next question prepared, "Can you use 2 accounts simultaneously on Wikipedia?" Unfortunately, here I committed my second big mistake, of impending this question in procrastination and creating Trialedit. When I created it, I just did it as a test (you can notice "trial") and thought I would do testing through this account. Then somehow I used this account to edit war (yes I am ashamed, but I did do edit warring). You can notice an unwanted attitude in my edit summaries: "It's always about Hagemaru not Doraemon" and "Removed something"(here something is what I saw as blatant unconstructive content). I did this because my sub conscious mind was like we need support to fight vandals. I did nothing much to conceal my identity here, still which I recognize today as violation of rules.
I was so openly abused multiple account on Hagemaru that Praxidicae opened. They even called my notion of vandalism as "weird" although I had stated "Reverted highly unsourced, uncited content and please add Japanese voice dubbers not other language" just before they reverted me. But I am not here to complain about them, they did what is good for WP. I was never notified that there was any investigation open against me, and when I knew, I was blocked. I did not get a single chance of explaining myself, but I am not a victim here, and I apologies. I was on a travel when this happened, and could post a short unblock request then, after which I never tried to comeback.
What I learned
The first thing I learned was Wikipedia:Sockpuppetry. Then I learned that I should engage in a civil discussion with other fellow editors rather than stay in narrow mind that I myself is correct. I should have tried to explain David notMD (they helped me lot on teahouse as ExclusiveEditor) about my edits, or at least have followed Praxdicae's advise to start a talk page discussion, which I didn't because I thought the hoax was big enough not to have this formalities. Since I realized this, I have since been on a journey to explore Wikipedia's working. I have went on to read various Wikipedia's policies and guidelines like WP:NPV, Wikipedia:3r, wp:canvassing, wp:lead, mos:intro, village pumps, reading teahouse questions and trying to make my own answers and then checking when someone answers them, Wikipedia:Manual of Style/India-related articles, and Wikipedia:Civility restriction and many more. I even had few quarrels with User:BlackOrchidd and User:Maungapohatu, but I tried to later help BlackOrchidd and ended argument with Maungapohatu in comedic way.
What I want to do
I will try my best to edit in the most constructive way possible. I am interested in adding short summaries, typo correction edits, tone changing, adding sources, reverting blatant vandalism, trying to engage in civil discussions, identify and remove unreliable citations, WP:SYNTH. I would also like to use tools for new editors on Wikipedia. I leave the decision upon the community if they feel I am ready or not, and if not, what should I do to improve. Sorry for what I did, but I will not be sorry anymore if unblocked. Also I am grown up now, and have the strength to take responsibility.
What motivated me
Many editors may remember the case of Wifione who came out as Lourdes, but that user was already in some long battle with their second account that they revealed it and blocked themselves as they were exhausted with it. I personally never wanted to get that deep in Wikipedia and so my past went ahead with created ExclusiveEditor. I can not imagine applying for amidship without revealing this. I was planning of first requesting to unblock User:Adishere and then reveal this. I know I could be banned or sanctioned for this per Wikipedia:Clean start, but I have decided to move forward as a true Wikipedian. Even my proposal for AI help in policy and guideline was genuine effort to improve Wiki.
Conclusion
I edited as User:Adishere with good faith, and edited as User:ExclusiveEditor with good faith, but broke this rule of Wikipedia, which I really regret, so confessed it all. Wikipedia:Clean start says that I would either be blocked or sanctioned per faith of my edits, and I did not fear scrutiny but lack of time when I started EE is what motivated me, and I deeply apologies for that.
(Note: I will not stop trying to get request unblock with good reasons, as I know my faiths now, and the pride working here gives me).
