Paranormal Magazine - "Exploring the world of the unexplained" - is a glossy monthly magazine devoted to the subject of supernatural phenomena. It is published by Jazz Fashion Publishing Ltd in the UK and is sold throughout the English-speaking world.
Articles by respected writers and bright modern design are hallmarks of the publication. Paranormal Magazine has positioned itself as a readable and entertaining, yet informed and trustworthy, high street publication.
Publishing History
[edit]An independently published magazine entitled Paranormal was first published in November 2005 under the editorship of Allison Jordan. This publication folded after 26 issues. A few months later the title was acquired by Jazz Fashion Publishing Ltd. The new Paranormal Magazine was published first in August 2008. This new incarnation rejected the previous emphasis on spiritualism, New Age philosophies and its reliance on celebrity mediums and writers associated with TV ghost-hunting programmes such as Most Haunted for a more balanced approach using writers with a long and respected track record in their chosen fields.

Editor - Richard Holland
[edit]Richard Holland took charge as editor for the new launch of Paranormal Magazine in August 2008. A journalist and author of five books on ghosts and folklore (including Haunted Wales and Wales of the Unexpected), he was a former regular contributor and regional correspondent for the Fortean Times.
Contributors
[edit]Contributors to Paranormal Magazine include Brad Steiger, Nick Redfern, Dr Karl Shuker, Dr David Clarke, Janet Bord, Lionel Fanthorpe, Richard Freeman and Jon Downes of the Centre for Fortean Zoology. The Fortean Picture Library and ASSAP (the Association for the Scientific Study of Anomalous Phenomena) also have a strong presence.
