Raymond Hackland (born June 2, 1981) is a Scottish singer/songwriter and musician. He has a growing popularity, particularly in German where he lives now.

Hackland's lyrics incorporate an abundance of influences including philosophical, social, political, religious and literary. They defy existing pop culture stereotypes and as a result have gained him credibility from music publications and DJs throughout Europe, particularly Germany and Scotland.

Hackland first became in the public eye in September 2009 when his debut single "Just One Night" reached No.1 in the ReverbNation Country Chart for Holland. This attracted media attention from The Scottish Sun and consequently STV News (Scottish Television News) who featured Hackland in their Six O'Clock News programme as part of a news report regarding the Live@Troon Festival where Hackland was playing.

Following his single launch for Just One Night, where Hackland was accompanied by fellow Scottish musicians Amy Belle and Alan Frew, the trio formed a project together called The Follies and where dubbed "The New Scottish Superband" by www.music-news.com. The Follies went on to tour in Holland and in Germany during 2010 and 2011 before undertaking their personal projects once more.

Hackland's most recent single, Wolves at the Door, reached No.1 position in the ReverbNation Rock Chart for Germany and was at No.1 position in the Schotten Radio Official Charts for 18 days. The Schotten Radio charts include Wolfstone, Runrig, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Cal, so this was a huge achievement for Hackland, a relative unknown.
