Question

Do you think that the Chase for the Sprint Cup should be written within the season article instead of seperated? Sich as 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and 2009 Chase for the Sprint Cup? One other question I would like to ask you is 'Do you think the new Template:NASCAR Sprint Cup races is better than the old? Nascar1996 15:43, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

The template's much better. I like the improved organization and the less eye-hurting colors :). As for the Chase article, I'd keep it separate, as it's a big enough event to just be summarized within NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Since each NASCAR race currently has its own article, I'd vouch for keeping the yearly Chase articles separate as well. Airplaneman 16:14, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I wasn't thinking the same thing, but it is better to ask someone else for their opinion. NASCAR still has some cleaning up to do! I do it over the next couple of days, since there is not a race until September 4-5. Nascar1996 16:22, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Do you think 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series should go by 24 hour or 12 hour clocks? Such thing if the clock started a 12:00 ET in 12 hr it would be 13:00 in 24, then add 5 for UTC. --Nascar1996 17:44, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
I looked it up by guessing MOS:TIME, and what do you know, it exists! That should help a bit, but I think 12 hour time would be better, if that's what NASCAR uses (that's what they use, right?) Otherwise, it's just a matter of preference as far as I know, and I would go for 12 hour time just because it's more common. Airplaneman 18:14, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, lets say it is 3:00 ET, would it be 8:00 UTC? Nascar1996 18:16, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Hey this is the best of both worlds! NASCAr and airplanes. You could upload it, I am going to save it for you. Nascar1996 22:20, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

That's a beautiful image, but I'm not up to uploading it after all of the image work I've done this month :/ (it should be uploaded to Commons). Thanks for sharing! Airplaneman 22:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Tired of being an admin already! ;) Well, I'll upload it. Nascar1996 22:37, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Done! That was easy. :) Nascar1996 22:43, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Hello, I think this shouldn't be here. It would be the same information shown on 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series, and 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. What do you think? Nascar1996 15:44, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I have added deletion tags to List of 2010 NASCAR races, List of 2009 NASCAR races, List of 2008 NASCAR races, and List of 2007 NASCAR races. Do you think I should have; the have the same information as the season pages. Nascar1996 17:30, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Oops, I used the "rollback summary" script on all of them to provide a summary of why I was declining, but somehow it got bypassed. Sorry about that. I declined the CSD because the criteria you put are not valid CSD criteria. AfD is the best option, because if the info is redundant, it can go two ways. The info can either be removed from one of the articles or the other to eliminate the redundancy. The discussion can help decide which way the information goes. Airplaneman 17:34, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
AFD is way too complicated for me, I do not understand anything there, but speedy deletion did have one thing that said if it is a duplicate of information to either be merged or redirected or deleted. I think they should be deleted. Why have a lost of the season's races when they are on the seasons? Nascar1996 17:38, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I think AfD would be the best option, though. The lists bring together information that is otherwise fragmented in three other articles, so they're not exact duplicates. They also aren't recently created, so A10 doesn't really apply. You have already given me your AfD rationale in the above posts, anyway :) Airplaneman 18:00, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I'll just leave them alone. I do not like going through the deletion process. I still say there is no need for the articles, since it in on the season. Nascar1996 18:07, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
OK. Airplaneman 18:10, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Do you think this will be too large once 53 more added on to it? I is collapsable. Nascar1996 22:06, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Nope, should be fine if it's collapsible. Airplaneman 02:06, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

I reformated it, I think it looks better now. It isn't as thick because I removed the flagicons. Nascar1996 09:47, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Looks good :) Airplaneman 14:17, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Could you help with it? I would like to get it all done before Thursday or Friday of this week, but I have 66 more to go. It is really easy when you get the information by clicking on the names in order here, which would take you to an article about the driver then you scroll down until you see a box that says track, career, season, etc; you click season. You may also want to pop up Template:NASCAR driver results legend for some help. You do need to keep the standings page for the points, but if you can't do it, it is okay. I was just asking. Nascar1996 22:54, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Sure, I'll take a look. Like you, I'll be busy the next nine months, though :). Airplaneman 23:48, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! It is a lot of work. Nascar1996 00:02, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

A request

Could you userfy Winterboard for me? It was speedy deleted a while back for not showing notability, but I'm going to develop it in my userspace and add sources, then eventually move it into the mainspace. Thanks, Access Denied talk contribs editor review 16:47, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Sure; done! See User:Access Denied/Winterboard. Happy editing, Airplaneman 18:15, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Just passing through and thought I'd leave an update on my goingson

Hi Airplaneman; congratulations on the Adminship I've been hearing about, I hope you enjoy the role and responsibility it entitles you to. You have my thanks as ever for the great indepth review of the B-1 Lancer, it looks a better article than ever now. I've more or less completed the overhaul of Avro Vulcan, another classic Cold War bomber aircraft, it'll likely be hitting the GA queue in the coming days, sometime next week perhaps? Keep an eye on it if you're interested, I'd enjoy another review of the same. Congrats once again. Kyteto (talk) 18:02, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, Kyteto :). Adminship's been enjoyable. I will certainly keep an eye on the Avro Vulcan article, and if and when I have a good chunk of time, I will pick up the review. Airplaneman 18:24, 28 August 2010 (UTC)\

Page Deletion

Hi Airplaneman, please advise to why my wiki page is up for deletion??

I have provided sources that verify the information on my page.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

ilovesamus —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ilovesamus (talkcontribs) 23:09, 28 August 2010 (UTC)

OK, I've given the page a cleanup. The "citation needed" tags are where you need to add references, encased in reference tags. Here's the format you'll use:

<ref>url of website that backs up the info</ref>

You need those kind of inline references, not just external links. I'm a bit concerned this person doesn't meet the notability requirements for musicians. The page looks too much like a resume right now. All it really does is list his accoplishments. It needs to read more like a biography. Try to make it look something like David Choi. Please ask if you have any more questions. You have ten days before the tag expires! Airplaneman 02:57, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Coding Problem

You seem to know Wikicode pretty well, perhaps you can help. On my talk page, I have my table of contents aligned right, but it goofs up the first three "edit" links and puts them in a row on the third line. When the TOC is in its normal spot, it all works fine. I am unsure what I am doing wrong and don't think it is the Archive box to the right also, as that works fine with the "edit" links when the TOC is on left. Can you help? - NeutralhomerTalk03:31, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

I tinkered slightly with {{-}} and it seems the best and only way without going back to TOCleft. Thanks! :) - NeutralhomerTalk03:41, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Glad I could help :). BTW, please take a look at File:Screen shot 2010-08-28 at 11.37.42 PM.png, which is how your talk page looks to me. The text is overlapping. I don't think you can get perfection with every browser on every computer screen size, though… Airplaneman 03:43, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I just dropped that notice about my internet moments ago (probably jinxing myself in the process), so that should clear up that problem. Please let me know if any other overlapping problems happen. My userpage works best in Firefox on 1024x768. - NeutralhomerTalk03:52, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
It looks fine now :). I'll keep an eye out, Airplaneman 03:53, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.

It's rather unseemly to see administrators condoning each other's incivility.[1] Malleus Fatuorum 17:23, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

I do not condone incivility. I was just pointing out that what you were telling John also applied to yourself. Not an administrator doesn't entitle you to be uncivil. Likewise, being an administrator does not mean one can be uncivil. It's as simple as that. Airplaneman 17:28, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I suggest that you try reading and understanding what's been said before you let your mouth run away with you again. Malleus Fatuorum 17:52, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I certainly have. And you? Airplaneman 17:55, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Until you display the same bravery in taking your administrator friends to task for their abusive outbursts as you do in your bullying of non-administrators I'm sure you'll understand that I have very little interest in anything else you have to say. Malleus Fatuorum 18:52, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Good. Your arbitrary segregation of admins and non-admins is alarming at best, but I doubt you'd care because what I say is of little interest to you. "Administrator friends" indeed. Airplaneman 18:55, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I suggest that you check a dictionary for the meaning of "arbitrary". Malleus Fatuorum 22:25, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Checked again: "based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system". Exactly what I meant. Airplaneman 00:34, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
  • I would encourage either of you to tell me if you ever feel I have been uncivil in anything I say. In this instance I have reviewed what I said and feel I can stand by the tone of the words I chose; I find MF's apparent pursuit of some generalized grievance against admins and the RfA process to be verging on disruptive at this point. Nevertheless, if either of you feels it would help, I am happy to refactor what I said at the RfA in question. MF, I take your lack of substantive response at the RfA as a response in itself, and am disappointed that I was correct in my suspicion that you were making a general point about admins and RfA, rather than a specific point about the candidate. Please don't continue to do this; you already know where WT:RFA is and that is a better place for these more generalized discussions about the process. Thanks. --John (talk) 18:56, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
    • It would be more accurate to view my "lack of substantive response at the RfA" as a desire to be as far away from you and your fellow administrators as is possible John. If you really believe that a comment such as "unfocused foaming at the mouth" is either civil or helpful then you are indeed a lost cause. Malleus Fatuorum 22:25, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
    • PS. lay off the threats John; I'm not one of your schoolkids. Malleus Fatuorum 22:27, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
      • Please show me where I threatened you. Oh, that's right, you can't, because I didn't. I already promised not to block you because I felt so sorry for you the last time you made a fool of yourself in public. This does not mean I will not criticize you when I see you causing disruption, as you have perhaps worked out.
      • As I've said before, if you don't like being treated (in a way you perceive as being) like a kid, you could consider not acting like one. Worth a try if you can manage it.
      • Here's another tip; if you don't like interacting with (and being called out for your silly behavior by) admins, RfA is definitely a place to avoid. A lot of us don't like seeing someone's RfA being disrupted by some daft campaign.
      • Remind me; are you currently for or against civility? Seems to me you want to have it both ways. You like to throw your weight around verbally and act all tough; but as soon as anyone says anything you don't like you run to mummy, as you have here. It won't wash.
      • Airplaneman, I apologize for giving life lessons to problem users on your talk page. I won't do it again. --John (talk) 01:05, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

What do you think?

ThunderClan was create-locked a couple years ago due to repeated re-creation. Do you think it would be a good idea to unlock it now and convert it into a redirect to List of ThunderClan cats? Brambleclawx 00:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Or would it have to go through an deletion review of some sort since it was deleted through discussion? Brambleclawx 00:03, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
I think we can recreate it as a redirect, since WP:CSD#G4 only applies to "A sufficiently identical and unimproved copy" of a recreated page. I'll go ahead and do it. Airplaneman 00:46, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I still have to find some time where I go through the article correcting stuff, and adding citations. Brambleclawx 20:49, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

MLB yearly infobox-pre1969 template

I believe the result of the Tfd for {{MLB yearly infobox-pre1969}} was technically "keep", not "redirect" (or perhaps it was "keep for now" or similar). Am I allowed to change that on the talk page, or does an admin have to do it? -Dewelar (talk) 03:25, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm... true. Feel free to fix it :). Thanks for noticing that! Airplaneman 03:26, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

The Springs (Country Band)

Hi Airplaneman,

I am new to writing here on Wikipedia. I write to you asking for help. I wrote an article based on something to the best of my abilities however soon after it was deleted because it was considered insignificant. Consequently, I write to you in order to recieve reconsideration and/or help to re-write it in a satisfactory way. My topic was a band that I am very familiar with called "The Springs". The band is independent, however their CD is in Wal-Mart stores and they are also on the road constantly. While talking to one of the members I found out some more information about the group which I originally did not believe until I was able to find proof to all they told me. I am not sure if you keep up with country music but this band is pretty big!! They have had songs in the 50s on the main country charts here in America, 4 number ones in the Chistian-Country Genre, and they constantly open for BIG stars such as Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, and Reba!!! The band is also able to achieve all this even though the are all younger than 23 and their youngest member is 19. It could just be me but I think this group is worthy of an article for such amazing achievements!! If it is possible please help me!! I would greatly appreciate it!!

-Elijah Jackson —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elijah Jackson (talkcontribs) 06:02, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Hmm, OK. It would be good if you could find reliable references to back up the info you have there, because if that's true (I'm not saying you're lying, but we need verifiable information) then the band should pass Wikipedia's music notability guideline (specifically, the one for bands). I see you started a user subpage; I can help with formatting and such. You may also bombard me with questions and I'll try my best to answer. I am a volunteer too so I may not be online all the time, but I'll try to answer as quickly as possible. When the article is ready, BTW, it should be published under the name The Springs (band), as it's more simple. Happy editing, Airplaneman 14:14, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much, I hate to keep asking "dumb" questions but how can i get Special:MyPage/The Springs(Band) to you for proof reading? As they say, only the unasked question is a dumb one (or something like that…) I'll keep tabs on the page because as long as it is not in the "article space" (currently, it's in the "user space" because it's a subpage of your userpage), it is not applicable for deletion under WP:CSD#A7, which I deleted the article under last time. I'll try and make formatting tweaks and such. Airplaneman 17:07, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much!! I definitely aprreciate your help on this article!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elijah Jackson (talkcontribs) 17:28, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

You recently deleted this A7. It has been put back, with the comment "There was no reason to remove the article! It passed an AFD. Why was it removed?" In fact Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arlene Ackerman in 2007 was "no consensus", but I think in view of that, if the article is to be challenged it should go back to AfD. I have notified Lionelt (talk · contribs) who tagged it. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:19, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know. I'll keep an eye on it and if I feel compelled, I might even AfD it. I need to do more research first, though. Thanks again, Airplaneman 22:31, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

I felt I had added a variety of information about why he was a notable playwright and citations for outside sources as well. I planned to keep updating and fleshing out the article. Ultra Lightweight Warrior (ULW) deletion

Airplaneman, I was in the process of creating this wiki and it is now a deleted page. Please advise. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.32.224.33 (talk) 23:07, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Could you please provide the exact name of the page in question? I can't find it. Airplaneman 00:30, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Of course you can't find it! You deleted it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Lightweight_Warrior_(ULW) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.32.224.33 (talk) 15:38, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the link. Well, it was left untouched for twelve days, so when the spam tag was added, I assumed that you were finished constructing the article. I assume you are BAEHQ (talk · contribs)? I would be more than happy to restore the article to a user subpage of yours if you'd like to work on it, but I'm not sure it meets the notability standards for Wikipedia. Airplaneman 02:33, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you Airplane man. We are going through a bit of a challenge as my counterpart left the company, so I have been struggling to finish the page. I am BAEHQ. This is the first time I have tried to post a wikipedia, so I am not sure what a subpage is or what the notability standards refer to. Can you please clarify? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.32.224.33 (talk) 15:55, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Please see Wikipedia:Notability. It looks like you have a serious conflict of interest because you are an employee of the company which makes the product. I don't think I will restore this page because as it is, I don't see how the product is notable enough for its own page on the encyclopedia. Sorry, Airplaneman 21:51, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Airplaneman, While I understand the conflict of interest that I am an employee of the company, there is a great deal of communication out on the net about ULW by 3rd party sources so to say that this is not notable enough to warrent its own wikipedia page is lacks basis. I had already started to add sources, though incomplete due to you deleting the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.176.229.140 (talk) 16:43, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Protecting Dale Earnhardt

Can you indefinitetly protect Dale Earnhardt? Wayne Olajuwon (talk) 00:03, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) I don't know if he will or not, but why do you want protection on it? Nascar1996 00:05, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
Also a talk page stalker, but one with a mop. I don't see a case for protection on that article. There have been 2 edits in as many weeks and there has been no vandalism in nearly 3 weeks. Almost all articles will suffer some vandalism. It's more-or-less inevitable. Just revert and warn and request protection if it gets excessive. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:19, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Qui with me

Would you be willing to install Qui to share statuses with me?  ono  17:18, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

No. I uninstalled it a while ago, as I found that I couldn't keep my status up to date. I consider continually updating my status a waste of edits, anyway. Have you tried User:Ale_jrb/Scripts/statusCheck.js? That'll help tell you if I'm online or not. I find it very useful. Airplaneman 21:49, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

October drive

Sorry, guys. The wikification drive has been bumped to October. You might have noticed already, however. I'm amazed how many people came on as soon as I sent out the invite. With a few more, we can easily meet our goal. Just remember. Concentrate your firepower on the 2008 articles, and you should have no problems. Great work! Also, if you have time, please also invite other users to participate. Thanks!

User page protection

Regarding your decline response at WP:RFPP: I've had my user page semi-protected indefinitely for years. I believe all user pages should be semi-protected indefinitely as a matter of priniciple, and it should be the default at account creation. Had I seen the request, I'd have responded with a semi-protect for User:Redblue82. I note that user page has been indef-semi protected before, but for some reason he requested unprotect a couple days ago. I'd say go ahead and semi-protect it, to give the user some peace of mind. ~Amatulić (talk) 00:18, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Sure; I'll go ahead and do it. It can't hurt :) Airplaneman 00:19, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Oooh! Happy BASEPAGENAME's day! ;) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:57, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

Quantum Leap episodes AfD

Hi. Would you please expand on your merge all recommendation at WP:Articles for deletion/Thou Shalt Not... and specify what content should be merged? Thanks. Flatscan (talk) 04:27, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I said all "relevant" info, referring to anything not contained in the article they were to be merged into already. Do you think that's too ambiguous? I am not sure how else to put it. Airplaneman 10:29, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I've written another comment at the AfD that hopefully clarifies what I'm looking for. I looked over the articles and found nothing to merge (I excluded the Music sections as inappropriate for the list) – a specific counterexample would be helpful. Flatscan (talk) 04:20, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
OK; I've added another comment below my first one. By the way, what do you consider a "low-value" redirect? Airplaneman 04:27, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. When I wrote that, I was referring specifically to the titles ending with (Quantum Leap). Also, as a reason against non-disambiguated redirects, I think that searching for a phrase that happens to be an episode title (for example, Honeymoon Express) should display search results, not immediately redirect to the list. Flatscan (talk) 04:52, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
I see; that makes total sense. I light of that, I will clarify a second time :) Airplaneman 04:53, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for reconsidering. Enough "Thanks" for you? ;) Feel free to contact me if you come across any merging or WP:Copying within Wikipedia issues, as those are my specialty. Happy editing! Flatscan (talk) 05:04, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

ranXem.com

Why are you deleting Ranxem Inc.? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Melissah4423 (talkcontribs) 12:55, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I am no longer deleting it, as it has been deleted. I did so because someone tagged it as not being notable (or at least not asserting notability). It was also spammy in nature, and Wikipedia isn't the place to advertise. So yea, that's why I deleted it. I hope this doesn't discourage you, and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Regards, Airplaneman 12:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Artical deleted after 3 sentences ?

I was creating an artical on a swing club in Illinois when you deleted it. Perhaps you should wait for more than 3 lines to be created before making a judgement on the value of the artical ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cosand (talkcontribs) 12:58, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

I usually do, but if I see no evidence of recent improvement, I go ahead with deletion. If you want, I can restore Partyperks847 to User:Cosand/Partyperks847 for you to work on before publishing it to the mainspace. Plus, please make sure it meets Wikipedia's notability standards. The article did not assert notability, which was the basis of the tag added by the person who tagged the page, and is also which is why I deleted it. Airplaneman 13:02, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Again...I had been working on it for less than 5 minutes. How could such a judgement POSSIBLY be reached ? Please DO restore Partyperks847 to User:Cosand/Partyperks847 for me to work on before publishing it to the mainspace.I will see to it meeting all standards. In return, May I suggest in the future you be less prone to kneejerk reaction—Preceding unsigned comment added by Cosand (talkcontribs)

The subpage should be up in a minute. I'll see what I can do regarding hasty tags. I'm not up to jerking my knees much right now because they are plagued with tendonitis. ;) I've been running too much lately… Airplaneman 13:17, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Ahhh...Humor to defuse frustration.I can respect that.Thank you and I hope your tendonitis gets better soon —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cosand (talkcontribs) 13:28, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

No problem, and thank you. Maybe I'll drop by your subpage in a few days to see how it's going :). Airplaneman 13:31, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

RFPP

Re: [2]

Yes, he did - now in John Vandenberg's archives: [3]

But, if you want my advice, steer clear of all the CC nonsense until the case is concluded. In this particular area, an iffy 2-week protection is far less problematic than reversing another admin without his consent.

CIreland (talk) 14:20, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did check the archives and totally missed that. I think I will take your advice and not get too involved with the Climate Change issues. I already full protected The Gore Effect earlier today… Thanks again, Airplaneman 20:34, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi...

Hi, this is Derild's alternate account. I'm wondering if you could grant me rollback even if I'm not autoconfirmed yet since I'm using this account mainly for using Huggle or other automated vandalism tools. Thanks. Sunshine4921 (talk) 14:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Done—go pwn those vandals… and don't burn out too quickly! Airplaneman 20:41, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! just started with Huggle and messed up twice by pressing R by accident. :/. Good thing I can revert myself. This is going to take a while to get used to... Sunshine4921 (talk) 21:55, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
No problem :). You'll get used to it before you know it. Airplaneman 21:58, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Why was my page on Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechology deleted?

Hi Airplaneman, Any reason why the page on the above organization was deleted?

How can I keep it from not being deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Many.eyes.on.you (talkcontribs) 15:48, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Well, first off, it was tagged as not claiming notability (see WP:CSD#A7). I just went ahead and deleted the page. I do note that Jackie Ying, with her excellent expertise in Nanotechnology, was brought on board and it was probably why IBE was renamed IBN. It must be REMARKABLE that Jackie Ying is able to lead a multimillion dollar institute in biology - inclined research. was part of the article. That's pretty much spam/POV. I can restore it to User:Many.eyes.on.you/Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology for you to work on further if you'd like. You can ask me questions any time as well. Regards, Airplaneman 20:53, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Airplane man, can you restore it? And Ill work on it. thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Many.eyes.on.you (talkcontribs) 12:34, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Done! Happy editing, Airplaneman 15:38, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

IPCC

You're wrong, its in User_talk:John_Vandenberg/Archive_10#Intergovernmental_Panel_on_Climate_Change. I've noted that on the prot page William M. Connolley (talk) 18:33, 4 September 2010 (UTC)

Noted. I will also clarify that on the prot. page. Thanks, Airplaneman 20:35, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
