Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mamankam festival, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page William Logan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Aileena Catherin Amon

[edit]

Hello ChandlerMinh,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Aileena Catherin Amon for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Dinkan

[edit]

Please make sure your edit works! With the template:Infobox comics character, you used the parameter "native_name" which does not seem to be a valid parameter and wasn't showing in the infobox. I moved "ഡിങ്കൻ" to the character_name parameter and it now shows up under the name Dinkan. BTW- I accidentally clicked "Publish" instead of "Preview" and had to fix a couple of things... Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Ghaggar-Hakra River does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Notice

The article Tukde Tukde Gang has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Dictionary term with only one source

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Sagotreespirit (talk) 13:56, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ARBIPA sanctions alert

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at North East Delhi riots shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ⋙–DBigXray 08:55, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Naveen Nazim

[edit]

Hello, ChandlerMinh. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Naveen Nazim".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

You are removing referenced sections of Surya Siddhanta page (Possible Vandalism)

[edit]

Hi ChandlerMinh, You removed my section on Surya Siddhanta page about the dating. It is against wikipedia policy to delete the sections on the basis that you do not like them. The BC era dating of Surya Siddhanta is experimentally proven by many researchers as I referenced, their publications have presented the emperical data of their experimental work which is based on highly advanced computational simulations and modern observational astronomy data. There have been referenced very well in the sections added by me.

I have realized that you are trying to delete the dating of Surya Siddhanta. I have also read previous banning warning to you about your previous edits. You can not delete articles or section which you do not like or which do not adhere to your world view or your political affiliations or your beliefs.

When the data is completely referenced, it should stay on the wiki page. Remember that, Empirical evidence and Experimentally concluded results over writes pre existing speculations or theories. This is the journey of Science. Every experimental conclusion is merely one data point away from falsification. Thats how Science progress. It progress with experiments and falsification of previously existing theories.

I hope you understand this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RahulChawla1990 (talkcontribs) 09:04, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Vedaant Madhavan

[edit]

Hello, ChandlerMinh,

Thank you for creating Vedaant Madhavan.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This article needs more references in order to provide significant coverage for this article. See WP:SIGCOV
References that have scores, lists, order of merit and video do not pass as reliable sources for WP:NSPORT. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - you may wish to read WP:NSPORT ) To meet notability requirements, one more reference with significant coverage will suffice. Thank you

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Hello, ChandlerMinh

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username MPGuy2824, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Vedaant Madhavan, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Information icon Hello, I'm Boyinaroom. I noticed that you recently removed content from Aniyan Midhun without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hey, read this source from Hindu listed as reliable source in Wikipedia. https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/kerala/thrissur-native-in-indian-team-for-world-wushu-tourney/article36535612.ece. Then how can you say that he is all fake. 2409:40F3:16:1D7D:8000:0:0:0 (talk) 07:17, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This news was only mentioned in local news pages of print newspaper. these claims can’t be verified with official authorities of the sport, therefore this article should be deleted. ChandlerMinh (talk) 07:29, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also doubt the same. But The Hindu is a reliable source as per wikipedia. So you cannot simply come and claim that these information are dubious. 2409:40F3:1016:40BD:8000:0:0:0 (talk) 07:39, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The International Wushu Federation does not mention any event in sept. 2021 ([1]). Only one (virtual) event was Organised that year and its results does not make any mention of him. Boyinaroom (talk) 07:46, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging pages for speedy deletion

[edit]

Hello, ChandlerMinh,

Please review Criteria for Speedy Deletion so you are familiar with the limited, accepted criteria that can be used when you tag a page for speedy deletion. You can't just write in your own reason, you should use the different codes that other editors and administrators are familiar with. If you invent your own reasons why a page should be deleted, it is likely to be declined. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:10, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Heliocentrism claims in surya siddhant article

[edit]

The wikipedia article on surya siddhanta contains a sentence which refers to heliocentrism it states that

It treats Sun as stationary globe around which earth and other planets orbit.

But the reference does not mention anything about heliocentrism. It was added two months ago by an anonymous user Kudiophi clopsvimbi (talk) 06:40, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

can you figure out when this addition was made? ChandlerMinh (talk) 12:51, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Confusing between calculus and yuktibhasa

In yuktibhasa article it is mentioned that yuktibhasa is the earliest text on calculus but in history of calculus article page it is referred that calculus was invented by Newton and Leibniz Kudiophi clopsvimbi (talk) 11:08, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

please mention exact sentence. the contribution of Kerala school is mentioned in detail in History of calculus ChandlerMinh (talk) 12:43, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In yuktibhasa article it is mentioned as
It is considered an early text on the ideas of calculus, predating Newton and Leibniz by two centuries.
But in history of calculus page it isn't mentioned. Kudiophi clopsvimbi (talk) 12:59, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
probably it would be ideal to change "ideas of calculus" to "some ideas of calculus" ChandlerMinh (talk) 13:23, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Aryabhatta

[edit]

In the article of aryabhatta it is mentioned that

For his explicit mention of the relativity of motion, he also qualifies as a major early physicist.

The reference given is written by Subhash Kak who was considered as a historical revisonist who believes in pseudoscientific stuff like indigenous aryanism and astronomy in rig vedas.Do you think his reference is accurate.

History of optics

[edit]

In the section of Early history in the article History of optics it is given as

The Indian Buddhists, such as Dignāga in the 5th century and Dharmakirti in the 7th century, developed a type of atomism which defined the atoms which make up the world as momentary flashes of light or energy. They viewed light as being an atomic entity equivalent to energy, similar to the modern concept of photons, though they also viewed all matter as being composed of these light/energy particles. But there is no reference at all Leveinhockerkerala (talk) 15:48, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Target Olympic Podium Scheme moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Target Olympic Podium Scheme, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. signed, 511KeV (talk) 11:33, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Target Olympic Podium Scheme. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:22, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, ChandlerMinh,
If an article has been moved to Draft space, please work on that version or move it back to main space, do not create a second, duplicate article on the same subject. This complicates attribution. There should never be more than one article on the same subject. Please do not do this in the future. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:24, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did not move it deliberately it was mistake. the main space article was on different tab on my browser. apologies ChandlerMinh (talk) 07:37, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Medieval india

[edit]

In the section of Medieval knowledge of the article History of botany. The subsection of the medieval india talks about the statement like

In India, simple artificial plant classification systems of the Rigveda, Atharvaveda and Taittiriya Samhita became more botanical with the work of Parashara (c. 400 – c. 500 AD), the author of Vṛksayurveda (the science of life of trees). He made close observations of cells and leaves and divided plants into Dvimatrka (Dicotyledons) and Ekamatrka (Monocotyledons). The dicotyledons were further classified into groupings (ganas) akin to modern floral families: Samiganiya (Fabaceae), Puplikagalniya (Rutaceae), Svastikaganiya (Cruciferae), Tripuspaganiya (Cucurbitaceae), Mallikaganiya (Apocynaceae), and Kurcapuspaganiya (Asteraceae)

Can you check whether the reference is reliable or not.

And secondly the classification of dicotyledons into various families is relatively a modern concept and secondly I can't find any sanskrit translation of these words into the modern English term. Myuoh kaka roi (talk) 20:23, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
