essay feedback
[edit]I noticed you inviting feedback on the essay. I am about the most sympathetic audience you could ask for - a FOSS contributor, critic of DRM and the expansions of "IP" law etc. I would advise against attempting to promote the essay to projectspace. When it comes to Wikipedia, the essay is basically fighting an ideological battle against the mainstream English language itself. Challenging a routine phrase like "consumer electronics" is pretty quixotic, and "digital restrictions management" is definitely fringe phrasing. The fact that I personally agree with that term is irrelevant. Alsee (talk) 07:49, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- User:Alsee: Thank you for your response. I've already put it in Wikipedia namespace, with the shortcut WP:LOADED, though. I guess I'll have to see how things go. I'll move it to my userspace if I have to, but I'm hoping that it'll be allowed to stay there. Do you have any advice for how I can improve it, though? Also, I recommend commenting on the essay's talk page in the Wikipedia namespace. I also added some more to it there as well. Regards, DesertPipeline (talk) 05:20, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
