Hey!

[edit]

Just a editing tip... If you make a short article, you should put a stub notice on it. That way editors who are intrested in those topics can find article to improve on. for example:

If you create a short article about music, type music-stub inside of two of these things {{ }}

It will look like this...

By the way, Welcome to Wikipedia! Here is the corny message we give to everyone who doesn't have anything written on their talk pages already. (My username is Banana04131. Leve a note on my talk page if you ever need any help.)

Welcome!

Hello, Embele, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  --Banana04131 21:51, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've nominated the article Sealand national football team for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Sealand national football team satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sealand national football team. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Sealand national football team during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Sandstein 22:41, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of TRACAS Warriors

[edit]

A tag has been placed on TRACAS Warriors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be spam: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --Maniadis (talk) 09:21, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Jos, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Jos is a test page.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Jos, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 04:30, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. You can do this by listing the parents near the bottom of the page, each enclosed in double brackets like so:

[[Category:Footballers in Nigeria by club]]
[[Category:Hypothetical second category]]

I've added at least one parent to the category. I invite you to check my work for accuracy and completeness.

I am a human being, not a bot, so you can contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 21:36, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Chechnya national football team, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chechnya national football team. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Stu.W UK (talk) 00:43, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An invitation to join Wikiproject Nigeria

[edit]

Good day Embele. I hope this message meets you well. Thank you for your consistent contributions in ensuring local Nigerian teams are well represented on Wikipedia, I also do similar routine work, albeit mainly on the women side, especially for teams and players in the Nigeria Women Premier League. I created articles for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 NWPL seasons. Also, I am responsible for the creation and decent contributions to articles for teams such as Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, Confluence Queens, Osun Babes, etc. Tournaments such as Women Aiteo Cup were also started by me. I plan to work on WAFU Cup (women) and Women Super Cup as soon as it begins. Biographies for local players such as Rofiat Sule, Rasheedat Ajibade and Reuben Charity are also being worked upon. I am also familiar with many local Nigerian football advocates outside Wikipedia, and its possible that I even know you outside Wikipedia.

The reason I narrated the above is for you to understand that we have similar interest on Wikipedia, I am presently the lead coordinator of Wikiproject Nigeria and it will be an honor if you can add your username to our members list. I know you hardly communicate with users individually, I recall your only other interaction towards me was when you thanked me for creating the Nigeria Super 4 article. I wanted to send you a mail but noticed you disabled the email option, that's why I was left with no ther choice than todo this via talkpage. Pleassssseeeee reply!
