Promotional editing

[edit]

Following up on ClueBot, I found I had to revert several of your edits that had not been reverted already. The pattern, in my opinion, is attempting to promote certain TV shows in a way that does not follow Wikipedia standards. If you continue to edit in this way, you may be blocked for disruptive editing. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on First Media (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

Thanks for your message. You have been warned before about promotional editing, and you are simply not following our guidelines. Your article was pure promo with no indication of how it met our notability guidelines, just a list of brands.

Please read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. Most of your refs appeared to be PR posting, interviews or otherwise affiliated to the company.
  • The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability. Note also that your article had virtually no facts about the company, such as number of employees, profits or turnover.
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Most of your article was just blatant promo like They're [sic] brands... help women live happier, more fulfilled lives ... a fun creativity life hacks DIY channel
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
  • If you have a conflict of interest, you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:HappyINC. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=HappyINC|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI query above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:21, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can see that you are a relatively new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article BabyRiki. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:36, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HappyINC, this is your third written copyright notice (see here and here for prior warnings). This in addition to another copyvio that I am currently tagging for revdel at Draft:Untitled Mr. Men & Little Miss film. I note you added these last two recent copyvio after you were given two prior copyright warnings. Please consider this a final warning: Do not copy and paste text from other sources into Wikipedia. If there are other articles where you have made edits that violate copyrights, please go back, remove them, and request revision deletion. If there are other copyright violations that have not yet been deleted and don't know how to request a revision deletion, let me know and I will do it for you. 1. Well, I know they are not my articles, but I created those articles. 2. I did avoid them on some of my articles. HappyINC (talk) 12:11, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoi: Aoi, I am a well-average editor here. I edit things what I think is true, what I believe is true, and what IS true. And even what I see. I especially prevent vandalism worthy, like in this edit here (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/888578931) About Shamrock Holdings, It was founded by Roy E. Disney, and it did a lot of agreements with The Walt Disney Company, That’s how I think Shamrock Holdings would be owned by The Walt Disney Company. Also, to be fair, Due to you reverting my edits so quickly, I fairly assume that you are spying on my contributions. Thanks, HappyINC (talk) 14:38, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I never said you were a bad editor; you seem to be an editor acting in generally good faith. You just seem to have trouble understanding certain Wikipedia policies such as WP:Verifiability and WP:COPYVIO. What you think is true or what you believe is true are not relevant; Wikipedia's policies state "Readers must be able to check that any of the information within Wikipedia articles is not just made up. This means all material must be attributable to reliable, published sources." If your contributions don't meet this policy, you should not be surprised if other editors remove them. As you can see here, Wikipedia articles are not suppose to be "[d]irectories, directory entries, electronic program[me] guides, or resources for conducting business. For example, an article on a broadcaster should not list upcoming events, current promotions, current schedules, format clocks, etc." This means that TV channel articles should not simply be large lists of shows that are/have been broadcast. Even then, things on Wikipedia should have sources to back them up. If you need help learning about sources, etc., I'm willing to give you help. Foxnpichu (talk) 20:10, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Jam Filled Entertainment has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NCORP, very limited RS mentions, and those are in passing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Where exactly did you get the idea that HBO owns Sesame Workshop, as you said in this edit? Trivialist (talk) 22:04, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Trivialist: I thought that it did. Considering the fact that all of SW’s programs air on HBO’s kids block and produced for Sesame Street and Esme & Roy. And HBO made a deal with SW, so that made me think that HBO owned SW. HappyINC (talk) 22:17, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop assuming ownership of articles as you did at Animanimals. Behavior such as this is regarded as disruptive, and is a violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Aoi (青い) (talk) 11:21, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoi: OK, 1. First of all, I didn’t assume ownership at Animanimals, did you mean the broadcast section? If so, that doesn’t mean anything about ownership. It’s not like all the show’s broadcasters owns the show at once. 2. I am not disruptive editor. My truth is, that I hate getting my hard work erased even when it’s true. And sourced. And yet, I’m just trying to save my articles I created from getting redirected or deleted. And that happens because of “weak information”. 3. Question for you. Are you spying on my contributions? I asked that because when I make an edit, You come immediately and revert it. 4. Another question. Is minimodding on Wikipedia allowed? Cus I say “Reverted edits” and I warn users including IP users for vandalism and unnecessary stuff. 5: Me being accused really gets on my nerves. I’m helping, dude. I am a good editor. Sorry for these mistakes. Thanks, HappyINC (talk) 11:53, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(1) See WP:OWN. You are displaying ownership of articles. You consistently edit war to have the articles your way and you refuse to compromise on talk pages. When other people try to fix articles that you feel you have a stake in to meet WP policies, you constantly revert it back and refuse to listen or even consider the policy-based reasons for the changes. This is the type of behavior that gets people blocked. (2) Your behavior is disruptive. (3) I am not "spying" on your contributions; you are editing articles on my Watchlist. Whenever you make an edit to an article on my Watchlist, I get an email notification stating an edit was made. (4) I don't know what you mean by "minimodding." (5) I've said before that I think you're editing in good faith, and I still believe that. Some of your contributions are good and you're contributing in an area that needs more attention. But if people make changes to articles you've started, they're usually making it for a good reason and you should at least consider the reasons before edit warring with ridiculously disruptive edit summaries like "Dude. Doesn't matter." Finally, please indent when discussing things on talk pages. Aoi (青い) (talk) 20:34, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoi: My point is, I’m only trying to be like you guys and the other admin Wikipedians. My edits to be so good, so that one day I could either become an admin, or be a special editor, and earn bannerstars! But I fail due to edit reverts, warnings like these, copyvio problems, and my disruptive behavior. And what I mean by “mini modding”, I mean that I’m not an admin nor a special editor, Using “Reverted *number* edits by *user*: *reason*” in my edit summaries and warning an IP user ([here], user removed all sources from Molang, and added unsourced content). That’s what I’m here on Wikipedia for. HappyINC (talk) 01:05, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, I saw this coming. Also, I didn’t mean to restore the bad grammar (I noticed that once I looked in my edit.) But still, If DWA acquired Big Idea and the classic VT show, then made VT in the House and in the City, then they have to make the new show, too. HappyINC (talk) 15:07, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There is a difference between acquiring/owning a company and producing a show. AT&T/WarnerMedia owns Warner Bros., but no one claims that AT&T/WarnerMedia is the production company behind The Big Bang Theory. Unless they are specifically credited as a production company (or are otherwise mentioned as a production company in a reliable source), DWA shouldn't be mentioned as a production company. Blues Clues & You!

[edit]

HappyINC, this isn't life and death; it's Wikipedia, and not worth getting all worked up over. Of course, I say that having gotten pissed off about things that have happened here, so I can sympathize. However, it's obvious from your talk page that your behavior on this article, working with the other editors who also care for it, is problematic. The trouble is that you don't take input from other editors and learn from their feedback. I've said this to you before: if you don't correct it, you're working towards a block for disruptive editing. That would be unfortunate because you're obviously dedicated and enthusiastic about editing for WP, and lord knows we need it, especially for kids TV. I think that if you want to continue, you need to learn to take feedback and learn from it. Perhaps a solution is to stick with fighting vandalism, and stay away from research and adding content. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 22:59, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I do not want to continue my disruptive behavior. I take feedback. And I pretty much did good here on Wikipedia before this happened. Again, I have been reverting and warning users like you guys do, especially Aoi. I don’t see why what I did today became such a big deal. (I will explain more of me later.) HappyINC (Let’s chat!) 23:17, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Part of the problem is that you are running to hit the revert button too fast. A lot of your issues would be avoided if, rather than instantly hitting the revert button, you first take a minute to consider why an editor made an edit (or reverted your edit), or leave a message asking why your edit was reverted. You seem to be assuming that every single edit you are making is correct, and that every page needs to appear the way you want it to appear, when that is not the case. For example, I reverted one of your edits yesterday because you removed a citation needed tag and tacked on a source that did not support the statement on which the citation needed tag was attached. You didn't even stop to consider this; you just reverted the edit back. Please stop doing things like this, it's very disruptive and will eventually get you blocked if you continue. Aoi (青い) (talk) 17:30, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoi: Okay, this took me a while. The reason I am “disruptive”, because I am very sensitive about my edits. When I see my hard work get erased or reverted, I flip out and go crazy. Here’s a lot of things I have to talk about. Now let’s talk about distribution. For Nickelodeon. Nick is owned by Viacom, right? And you say having Viacom there is “unnecessary” because Nick would obviously distribute. If it’s network is going to obviously distribute, and having the original owner there is “unnecessary”, then a distributor parameter for TV shows shouldn’t even exist. It makes no sense to even have a distributor parameter if having the owner of the network is unnecessary. (first discovered at School of Rock (TV series).) In my opinion, that just sounds very stupid and dumb, and doesn’t make any sense. There is a confusion for shows on Nick Jr for what Nick DOES own. Most of their shows are distributed by Spin Master. I barely know what show does Nick own. IT IS VERY CONFUSING FOR KIDS’ TV OF WHAT THEY DISTRIBUTE. Blue’s Clues & You!: It’s produced by 9 Story Media Group and Brown Bag Films. Sourced or not, it’s pretty obvious that 9 Story will distribute in Canada and worldwide. Wayback to The VeggieTales Show, NBCUniversal and DreamWorks owns Big Idea Entertainment, the producer of the show. They produce for the franchise, acquired the original series, made VT in the House and VT in the City, then they have to make the that series too. It’s OBVIOUS. To be honest, you guys just don’t make any sense sometimes. HappyINC (Let’s chat!) 13:44, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It is not obvious. I mentioned this on the article talk page a few days ago but I will repeat it here: Just because a company produces a show doesn't mean the same company will distribute it. It depends on the show and, a lot of the time, who owns the intellectual property. In this case, Nickelodeon/Viacom owns the IP and they also have their own Canadian affiliate; it seems very unlikely that anyone except Nickelodeon/Viacom would handle distribution. It is possible for a third party to distribute, but because there is possible ambiguity, I am asking for a source. Everything on Wikipedia must be verifiable. Thanks. While it's commendable that you care so much, it's not worth being disruptive. It's not worth it to "flip out and go crazy." Again, it's the very thing that will get you banned. The frustrating thing for me is that I'm spending all this time trying to mentor you, and help you manage the policies and procedures here (including the verifiability policy Aoi cites above), but you seem entrenched in your negative and disruptive behaviors. You don't seem to want to learn. You will be banned if you don't stop. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 18:06, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Molang. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The content you restored is obviously not encyclopedic, properly verified, or neutral. Did you use rollback for these reverts? And did you explain what you were doing? If you did use rollback, that may well be an abuse of the tool. Drmies (talk) 21:59, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey, I noticed that you seem to be manually inserting your custom signature (HappyINC) into your talk page comments. If you go into your account preferences (you need to be on desktop rather than mobile to do this), under the "User profile" tab, you can insert your custom signature there so you don't have to manually input every time you sign a post. I hope this helps. Aoi (青い) (talk) 20:59, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoi: Ok, got it. I did the things I could. To be honest, inserting my custom signature manually was kinda stressful. Behavior and rudeness

[edit]

Seems like your behavior has gotten a little more aggressive. You don’t want to get blocked by someone, right? Luigitehplumber (talk) 21:04, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don’t. I am very serious about my edits. As far from now, Each time you and others gotta mess with production in show’s articles, I revert it back then Aoi and Waylif come behind my back. *I* try to ration it out. That’s what pisses me off. And if I got blocked I would be super pissed and leave the internet. These are examples why I deal with a bunch of crap in my life on the internet. HappyINC (💬) 21:13, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure? You appear to take Wikipedia like it’s your life from what I have seen (Profanity in edits, raging in all caps, etc.) and most of the time you don’t read the sources correctly (I’m talking about Bluey, I’ve still found nothing regarding it being on CBeebies UK) or keeping in something (Like putting Disney in the Totally Spies! page) just because you want to. Luigitehplumber (talk) 21:17, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Happy, you’ve continually used profanity in your edit summaries, and harassed people, just because they don’t agree with your edits or are fixing your mistakes. Also, nobody’s "messing" with production in show’s articles, Wikipedia is a project, editors can edit pages if they want to, wether you like it or not. This isn’t "HappyIncpedia", it’s Wikipedia. Users aren’t gonna agree with you everytime, you don’t have any excuse to be rude. If you’re angry about a edit, keep it to your self and don’t rage over it in your edit summary, that’s not what that’s for. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 20:40, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean to be insulting, but I wonder if this is a case of Wikipedia:Competence is required. Happy, editing Wikipedia isn't for everyone; like I always say, "Wikipedia may be the encyclopedia anyone can edit, but not everyone does." I would add, in this situation, that not everyone should. It may just not be a good time for you to edit Wikipedia. I have a feeling, though, that Wikipedia will always be here when you gain competency and want to return. I'm also sure that you'll be welcomed back. It's a sure way to avoid a ban, since that's the direction you're heading. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 04:43, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not heading for bans or blocks. Plus, I never said or taken it like I “own Wikipedia”. I 100% guarantee know that. Like I had said before, what pisses me off is when I make a good faith edit, a few days later someone removes it. I revert it back and try to make you guys understand then the admins come behind my back. Aside from that, I’m barely active on Wikipedia anymore. I do what I do elsewhere. And stuff like this, I always have to deal with a bunch of crap like this nowadays. HappyINC (💬) 04:53, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just because your edits are in good faith doesn't mean they’re correct. When somebody reverts your edits, you should read their edit summary, they tell you what you did wrong in your edit and how to fix them. You need to understand that your edits aren’t always correct, it’s nothing to get mad over, they’re just trying to keep the page in good shape and help you. HurricaneGeek2002 (talk) 14:05, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A whole year ago about this, from the start of this conversation, I try to get the thing that caused this out my system, but yet you have to bring it up and make me more stressed. HappyINC (💬) 19:30, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Out Of The Blue Enterprises Is Still In New York, NY

[edit]

To be honest, there is no 9 Story USA logo. On new episodes of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood called Margaret's Birthday Buddy and Margaret's Birthday Party, the Out of the Blue Enterprises logo is still alive. The Out of the Blue Enterprises office is still in New York, NY. Blue's Clues & You, future episodes of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Creative Galaxy, and Wishenpoof might both have the Out of the Blue Enterprises logo after the ending credits of those shows. About your PowerBirds draft

[edit]

Hello, I see you are having trouble improving your draft of Powerbirds as of now. Unfortunately, as it stands right now, your draft is more likely than not to declined. Let me go over the main reason why it might not go through: You still haven’t added sources for the episode air dates, which is very important. Try to find a reliable, secondary source for these air dates, as well as a source for the production codes. Also, please respond to messages that other editors send you, as they may also be able to help you. And please don’t rush the process, we are not a TV Guide. A tag has been placed on Draft:AnimationEpic, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. kingboyk (talk) 18:51, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider undoing your recent edit about Russell Marcus. Read what it says at Talk:Corn & Peg about the usage of pressreader.com to verify this claim. Yadirf (Disney Channel) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Yadirf (Disney Channel), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 02:52, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My issues

[edit]

I would like to apologize to all the Wikipedians from my past behavior and rudeness, I was always misunderstood and very immature, and too sensitive about my edits, looking back at them, I was deeply disappointed in myself for my past self, been very rude, and always immutare, getting mad every time a “good edit” of mine gets reverted and i revert back and it’s reverted again and I get a warning and that stuff, but I become more understood now and I changed a bit, but my problem still stands. i have mental issues that I always get angry at not a big deal things, i’m still changing from that. again, i apologize to all the Wikipedians I beefed with, i have changed a bit now, but I rarely edit on Wikipedia anymore, i just wanted to write this to everyone. Hope you guys can forgive me. HappyINC (💬) 07:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on BabyRiki, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
