The article Byron L. Garth has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Veinor (talk to me) 15:48, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Historical map of eau claire.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Historical map of eau claire.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Christel Miller

[edit]

Thanks for the help with the Christel Miller article. However, this article is not linked from many articles, and it only has one section: the bibliography. It also has many broken links, shown as red. Please add more sections, or post this article for in the expert help section.

What a difference an apostrophe makes

[edit]

Hi,

I saw you created an article for But I’m a Cheerleader. Sorry about the confusion, but there is already a fairly well-developed article about that movie at But I'm a Cheerleader -- i.e. with the straight apostrophe that Wikipedia normally uses for article titles. I'm going to redirect the article you started to that one. You might want to take a look at it and see if you want to add anything. —Celithemis 23:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:But_I'm_a_Cheerleader.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Hgarth! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 295 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Barbara Rylko-Bauer - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
