This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Deltabeignet 03:39, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What was the last thing I edited? "Vandalized"

For your reference the last thing you vandalized was Star Wars and that is what I have blocked you for 12 hours for vandalizing

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Jtkiefer T | @ | C ----- 22:56, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy. To what do I owe the honour? B.t.w. I really don't understand why you made an edit like [1] - especially considering you claim to be such a huge Star Wars fan. Are you sure your password is secure? Keeping your password secure is your responsibility; if your account keeps being used for vandalism it may get blocked indefinitely. Shinobu 06:48, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
My little brother likes to sneak onto my computer and mess up articles on Wikipedia. He gets a real kick out of that.
In that case I'd recommend logging out after you finish editing (switch of the "remember me" checkbox as well) and keeping your password really secret. Again, you're responsible for every edit from your account. Apart from that, it is common practice to finish posts on talk pages with ~~~~; this will add your signature to the post, like this (except your username instead of mine will appear): Shinobu 07:02, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

Please be careful about editing controversial pages like Abortion, especially with edits that violate WP:NPOV. THose pages are the result of a long term compromise. Thanks. Peace, delldot | talk 22:25, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I respect your views and your belief that they are the truth. But surely you can understand why we need to keep articles WP:NPOV? Otherwise no one will take the encyclopedia seriously, and no one will read it except for people who already agree with your views. Let's all try to edit constructively in a way that we can come to a compromise on. Peace, delldot | talk 22:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop re-creating this article. We had an AfD about it, and the decision was to leave it as a redirect. If you can turn this into a substantially new article which justifies another AfD, that's fine. But reverting to the same pre-AfD version is simple vandalism. Please stop. Image Tagging Image:Pic 37.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pic 37.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Pak21 10:19, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging Image:Cashman.jpg

[edit]

Hi. I noticed you have tagged the above image as "Copyright Free Use", indicating that the copyright holder has allowed its use for any purpose. The page you have taken it from clearly lists it as being an Associated Press photograph, and they do not release their photographs for free use. Please review Wikipedia:Copyrights before uploading any other pictures. Thanks. --Fastfission 02:59, 26 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Crump.gif. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. --OrphanBot 04:27, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images

[edit]

Please don't put fair use images on your user page or talk page as this is in violation of the Wikipedia WP:FAIR policy. Theory of evolution

[edit]

If you count, you will see that this is mentioned more than 25 times in the article itself. It is not necessary to mention it every time. Everyone knows it is a theory. And like most creationists, I guess you have not bothered to learn what the word theory means. Before you make yourself look foolish like every other creationist, try to learn something first. Unspecified source for Image:Pirates2.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pirates2.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Welcome, Jedi Davideus, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Your user page might brake wikipedia guidlines. Here is my proof.

  • Excessive personal information (more than a couple of pages) unrelated to Wikipedia
  • Extensive personal opinions on matters unrelated to Wikipedia, wiki philosophy, collaboration, free content, the creative commons, etc.
  • Other non-encyclopedic material
  • Polemical statements:

That is all from wikipedia guidlines on user pages. If someone else thinks it violates guidlines then you will have to get rid of some stuff. You do not now though. God bless.--§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 05:19, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Put this on your monobook.js. It will help you revert vandalism faster. It gives you a roolback button.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:JohnMcclane.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JohnMcclane.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. new page

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bipabew, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Muscle Milk

[edit]

The article Muscle Milk has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 21:25, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Yes, I remember you. I am not going to be here often. I am way to busy at the moment in real life.--SJP (talk) 01:55, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Gingerbread man.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gingerbread man.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 00:54, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Deuxexmachina.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Deuxexmachina.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. Got Questions

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Got Questions, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Got Questions. --Snigbrook (talk) 19:07, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:11, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
