Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bent Røiseland, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Holme (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:12, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Carl Enckell

[edit]

Hi Marius1603. Concerning the infobox in the article about Carl Enckell, the version you use does not support the list of his political career and neither the section of his business career (manager of Kone ja Silta). Therefore, the other version should be used (unless you find a workaround). Gwafton (talk) 12:16, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the infobox back. If you don't agree, feel free to share your views on the discussion page of the article. --Gwafton (talk) 07:11, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Too much detail

[edit]

Hi, I'm not from the English Wikipedia but well, I just want you to think about Wikipedia:Too much detail: "Before inserting the new material, the significance of additions should be considered. Is it something the topic is widely known for?". It might seem interesting that a minister visited a place a few days ago, but is it really what is important about this person? Also: WP:NOT (Wikipedia is not a newspaper). Have a nice day. --CaroFraTyskland (talk) 19:52, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, is there a specific article you’re referring to?

Marius1603 (talk) 20:22, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Articles like Emilie Enger Mehl, Anette Trettebergstuen and probably some others where you started to add statements on a regular basis. As I said, I'm not from the English Wiki, so I'm not completely familiar with the rules here but I think if you continue to add statements and visits at this rate there will be too much trivial content in the article at one point. I won't try to stop you I just wanted to be sure that you've seen these rules. Have a nice day. --CaroFraTyskland (talk) 09:12, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect date template use

[edit]

I am about to revert this edit because it uses the {{birth date}} template and {{death date}} template for dates that are in the Julian calendar. These templates put out metadata that can only express dates in the Gregorian calendar, thus the metadata is false. If you have made any similar edits please repair them. Jc3s5h (talk) 19:27, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just click on the link and look near the top of the page, and you will see that Wikipedia indicates it was your account that made the edit 14:59, 16 March 2021 UTC. Jc3s5h (talk) 20:05, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jonas Gahr Støre

[edit]

What is the point of the day-by-day log on the page of Jonas Gahr Støre? I guess it's just to remove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JOestby (talkcontribs) 21:04, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It’s not entirely day by day, it’s notable events or similar things. I’m sorry if you think it’s day-by-day, perhaps I should reduce the activity on the page. Marius1603 (talk) 21:22, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Arild Hermstad moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Arild Hermstad, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:25, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I came across this article while doing new page patrol, and had to move it to drafts. Firstly, there is unreferenced content, such as the 'Education' section and the first para of 'Career'; also, personal details such as DOB must be clearly supported by reliable published sources, or otherwise removed.
Moreover, the sources cited aren't quite enough to establish notability, as none of them (with the possible exception of the Aftenposten piece) provide the sort of significant coverage as required by WP:GNG notability. (Meanwhile, as an unelected politician, the person isn't notable per WP:NPOL.)
I didn't want to take this to AfD, as I'm sure more and better sources could be found to satisfy both the referencing and notability points. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:31, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If I may say, Aftenposten isn’t the only reliable source in Hermstad’s article. NRK, Dagbladet and Verdens Gang (VG) would be others too. Regarding notability, I guess you’re right, but it’s also quite possible he might end up being the next Green Party leader. Although that remains to be seen. Marius1603 (talk) 06:48, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be clear, I didn't say AP is the only reliable one; I said it's the only one providing sigcov, which is needed for notability. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:57, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Espen Barth Eide text

[edit]

Hi, I see that you have now twice removed the text on Espen Barth Eide. Please explain yourself.Monopoly31121993(2) (talk) 15:17, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed your edit because there is no significance with it. I get it might seem like it, but unless it has any consequence for Barth Eide other then making him look bad, it's not significant enough. Marius1603 (talk) 15:36, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really know what you mean when you say "there is no significance with it" but the fact that there is a reliable source makes it worth including. In this case however there are multiple news articles about this event and it is currently the top story on NRK, Norway's national news provider. That makes it hard to argue that it is not significant. Monopoly31121993(2) (talk) 16:55, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
