Article ALLEN Career Institute
[edit]Hi, I will be highly obliged if you please guide me for submission of my article.
At present as per the comments I have been asked to contact you : The issue in the article is that you have deleted past drafts on that topic multiple times because they did not establish that the topic is notable enough. For that reason the title was protected against re-creation. Apparently you were involved in the past deletions and please tell me whether the problems have been resolved or not.
Secondly my article is notable enough to be published now as I have provided the reliable cite i.e. TImes of India Press Coverage and many others. I request you to please allow the submission of my article.
Thank you in advance for any guidance that you can give.

Hi,
I noted you protected the above page because of persistent sock puppetry issues. Would you point me out the edits that lead you to this conclusion? Of all the holiday pages I recently looked at, it seems rather calm. -- 签名 sig at 19:39, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the article 'Steven Redhead'
[edit]I found that the article I submitted 'Steven Redhead' has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. (23:11, 18 September 2013 (UTC))
I am a little unsure still why this happened as I based this article upon the article upon a similar page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Redhead
Are there any recommendations that I could make that would enable this article to be included? I am assuming I need to put links into the texts for reference to subjects. Are there other thoughts that would enable the article to be published?
Thank you in advance for any guidance that you can give.
Philominded (talk) 13:45, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- The difference is that the Steve Redhead article cites *independent* sources that indicate the subject's notability per WP:BIO. All the sources in your article appear to have been created by the subject and are not independent. See WP:RS and WP:V. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:10, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Steven Redhead article
[edit]Thank you for your response.
I don't think the Steve Redhead article cites *independent* sources that are specific to the person, but are referencing; a place of employment, a link about Australia, a profile on his own site, the same profile published on the university website, a link to a person who interview him, and a reference to a book on a third person, and a podcast on iTunes.
I am trying to figure out what changes are necessary for the article to be accepted. Does this mean by this logic that if I put a Wikipedia link in my text to the place of employment by a multinational, and other such notable links within the text, along with a link to Spain and Japan that it will be acceptable. I would welcome any advice or direction.
The article was deleted rather than being marked for modification like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_Childre - I wonder what is the difference.
Philominded (talk) 14:57, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- I have listed Doc Childre for deletion and will take another look at Steve Redhead. But the fact that you can find existing articles that may not meet our standards doesn't mean we ignore the standards. See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Please do read WP:RS for an explanation of reliable sources. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:11, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- The University of Calgary interview is a valid, independent source for Steve Redhead. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:13, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Article Steven Redhead
[edit]To clarify, I wasn't trying to justify the article 'Steven Redhead' on the pretext that other biographies had similar content; my purpose was that as they had been accepted, I was searching for what would be necessary to improve the Steven Redhead article. Having based the content form on similar biographies, ensuring similar type links, I am now trying to figure out how to improve the article so that it will be acceptable. I appreciate the really speedy feedback, as well as the direction and links of what to refer to. I was actually curious why the Steven Redhead article was not tagged for improvement but was deleted. Philominded (talk) 17:28, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- There's not really such a thing as an article being "accepted". There's no formal acceptance. Some articles with deficiencies get noticed faster than others. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:03, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Vivaldi article
[edit]Hello, I saw that the article was speedily deleted. I would appreciate any insight you can provide as to why that was. I included references to multiple sources in hopes to meet all guidelines. Thank you in advance for your help! Swcwikiswc (talk) 21:53, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
- The sources were either PR releases, or interviews with Vivaldi's principal - none were *about* Vivaldi itself. NawlinWiki (talk) 18:18, 5 October 2013 (UTC)
Regarding the article 'Safco Dental Supply Company'
[edit]Hi,
Curious why you speedily deleted the article Safco Dental Supply Company. They were the first company in the entire United States to move towards UPS' Eco Responsible Packaging Program. Many companies have since joined this green effort but they remain the only dental supplies company to be earth-conscious. [1]

Follow-up to Vivaldi article
[edit]Thank you so much for your insights. But just to understand fully, the media outlets that were cited (Fast Company, MediaBistro, Forbes, PR Week) were covering the research from the company and were not paid press releases. Is it a problem because the articles also included an interview with the CEO?
Also, why would the Vault ranking not count as being about the company itself? I've seen other articles citing Vault for various companies (consulting, law firms), so believed that to be an "approved" source. Is that incorrect? Thank you again! Swcwikiswc (talk) 16:32, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Article was deleted while I was adding to it
[edit]I didn't have enough time to add more sources to "Matterhackers." I was in the process of starting a new section explaining the relevance when it was deleted. Can I put it back up as long as I keep working on it? Thanks!Gkahnke (talk) 18:55, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, but only if you can find reliable sources (see WP:V) that explain how this company is itself notable per WP:CORP. Articles that are about 3D printing in general, and which merely mention or quote the company, won't do it; neither will an assertion that the company has notable clients (we don't have an article on LeBron James's lawn service). NawlinWiki (talk) 20:04, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
The article has been put back up. It's still sparse but it will be worked on again tomorrow. There are additional sources from the OC Register and NPR among others. Some of the relevance comes from being the first 3D Printer store in Orange county as well as developing the software used on a significant number of 3D Printers.Walabie (talk) 01:41, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Kiran Chopra VNKC
[edit]hello sir, i being the creator of page Kiran Chopra VNKC, came to know that it already got deleted under section G11 ... i am sorry, i can't able to understand the reason of speedy deletion. There can be some editorial or technical mistakes .. Since it was just saved in 1st editing. If i could have given a chance to rectify it step wise ... I wish to let u know some basic reasons and circumstances under which i created this page like that.
- 1st of all let me clarify that this was purely a famous personality based article who is related to a non-commercialized group for helping and supporting senior citizens in the form of club. It is neither any traditional club nor unambiguous advertising or promotion of any organization .. still if u feel there is any specific content in word / sentence / paragraph i'll surely like to omit that under your guidelines.
- URL : since this article was personality based and the same name (Kiran Chopra) was already registered for else personality from Art ... So i opted to add extra word related to her identity towards url ... if u feel objection at that it can be also be changed to what ever suggested to me.
- Since the page was just a stub in just 1st editing, so i tried to add extra reference towards citation from official web or media ... if any of those also gives feeling of any advertising or promotion, that is also no issue.
I wish if you feel comfortable with my explanations, please let me get the same article (at least after necessary omitting from wiki-team), so that i can proceed further to improve that.
regards Pk4wp (talk) 14:54, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because it was not written in a neutral tone, with language like "she comes from a distinguished family" and "As a devout champion of senior’s rights". Please see WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 14:56, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

ohk ... that is really the point! ... thanks a lot ... I've done some more fine editing. Kindly check the article if it is up to the mark ... regards Pk4wp(talk) 20:24, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
- You need to get rid of all of the rest of the laudatory adjectives: "great martyr", "humanist to the core", etc. Wikipedia cannot be in the position of vouching for how wonderful Ms. Chopra is. Again, see WP:NPOV. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:03, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

I do not believe this was an appropriate speedy deletion. A chain with 40 outlets is an indication of notability. You could also have dropped me a note if you didn't think it was notable. I suggest you should act with more courtesy and consideration of your fellow editors. Would you consider restoring it? I have no objection to the subject being discussed in an AfD. Thanks. Candleabracadabra (talk) 15:52, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- If you can find any sources per WP:V that show notability (as opposed to existence), I'll be glad to restore. By this point, you should know better than to post unsourced articles on companies. NawlinWiki (talk) 15:53, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- And you should know that a notification is required for speedy deletion. I also think the normal procedure is to place a tag on it and allow another admin to make the decision. Did you make any attempt to find sources for the newly created article? Candleabracadabra (talk) 16:02, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
- (1) I did notify you of the speedy deletion; (2) no, there's no rule that an admin can't directly speedy-delete an article rather than tagging it for someone else; (3) it's your job, as the article creator, to provide sources. Wine 360 Analytics / Huon Hooke
[edit]Hi Nawlin,
Understand that you deleted the Wine 360 Analytics page.
On the Huon Hooke page, you have added a note at the top "it appears to be written like an advertisement". I've edited this again and taken out anything that contradicts the neutral person point of view. It really doesn't say anything other than what Huon does in the Australian wine industry.
The entry is very similar as the ones for the other Aussie wine critics such as James Halliday or Jeremy Oliver.
Could you please read through it again and check that it meets your guidelines and that you are happy with it?

Vandalism?
[edit]I'm curious why you chose to delete Chocoladepepernoten as vandalism. True, the page was written in Dutch, but my quick peek at the Google translation shows that the page is about a particular type of chocolate gingerbread that is popular in the Netherlands. I'm not sure the page would have survived on its own, but I'm also unclear on why this was deemed vandalism. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 19:32, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Well, I was having to decide between that, A1, and A3, but the Google Translate that I did resulted in basically "chocolate ginger nut cookies are the best kind of cookie ever." In retrospect, probably A1 would have been a better tag. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:35, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Mr. NawlinWiki. A student who heard me speak at a university felt that I needed a Wiki page and decided to create one for me. The page was deleted for copyright infringement, as I believe he took excerpts from my bio from my linked in page. Is there a way that you could remove the words, “copyright infringement” from being associated with my name? I am an author, and I in no way want anyone to be confused into thinking that the copyright infringement has to do with my books. When my name is googled, the wiki page comes up, but then it says that it has been deleted because of copyright infringement. I would greatly appreciate if you could delete my name from coming up under wikipedia altogether. Thank you in advance sir. Dr. Mia Merritt

Mr. NawlinWiki,
I see where you changed the deletion reason to an A7, but the G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement, still shows at the bottom of the list. This concerns me as a publisher author of 15 books. I also see where you inadvertently “restored” the account for a quick second (I got a little excited for a moment there). My question is this: In light of the fact that Christian extracted excerpts from my bio from my Linked-in page, is that still considered copyright infringement, even though it was with my permission? The information is still correct and can be found on many websites if you were to google my name. Would you please consider restoring the page since the information is factually accurate and up-to-date? I had never thought about having a wikipage until he brought it up, but people do ask me if I have one when I travel and speak, so it would be nice to have one. You do not have to answer today. Just think about it. You may google my name to verify my works: mia merritt, dr. mia merritt, or mia y merritt. If you can't, then I certainly understand. I am no Oprah (yet). I will try not to bother you again, but I can’t promise. Have a great day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Merrittmia (talk • contribs) 19:55, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
Mr. NawlinWiki,
I see where you changed the deletion reason to an A7, but the G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement, still shows at the bottom of the list. - Apart from the copyright infringement, and the notability issue, the content as posted is promotional (as you would expect if taken from your LinkedIn page). This runs afoul of our neutrality policies, see WP:NPOV and WP:SPAM. As for the deletion reason, I can't delete the history - the best I can do is make the change that I made. Understood. Have a wonderful week! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Merrittmia (talk • contribs) 20:52, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
Hey, remember me? I changed ONE word on a page because it the word in question doesn't even exist. On the page about Shark Attacks I changed the word (and supposed verb) surfboarding to surfing. Now, your probably nerdy enough to not realize the difference between these two terms. Surfing is a verb that refers to the act of surfing, while surfboarding is simply the term surfboard with ing added to it, it's not a word. Think twice before you change something like this ya fuck. I will change it back. What the hell do you know about surfing anyways? I've been surfing for years, but I have never been surfboarding. Fuck you. Fuck you. Fuck you.

John M. Kennedy, Jr.
[edit]Hi. Can you possibly provide me a copy of an article that you deleted on December 28-December 29, 2011 (both dates are given showing "deletion") named John M. Kennedy, Jr. regarding a county politician in the state of New York? It would be very helpful if you could so. Thank you... Steve Stevenmitchell (talk) 02:18, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- On review of the deleted revisions, although the first few attempts were blatantly promotional, I should not have deleted the last attempt. I've reposted at John M. Kennedy, Jr.. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 04:35, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Young Droop
[edit]Hi NawlinWiki. I noticed that you deleted the article for musical artist Young Droop many years ago claiming he is not significant, and I want to know why you think so. He actually is a very significant West Coast hip hop artist who has been associated with numerous artists around California. Allmusic[2][3][4] returns some search results as well as plenty on Rap Music Guide[5][6][7][8] and Rate Your Music[9] and he even showed up on a Complex[10] magazine list (which would be considered most notable).[11] To me, establishing significance or notability is when your name shows up like that in multiple places on a google search and you are a person who can be noted. Now if I were go and to recreate the page at simply Young Droop, it would most likely be deleted again. This is going to be a problem on Wikipedia for many artists who are clearly established (but maybe have yet to be fully referenced), each time their article gets recreated. I wanted to leave you my input, along with some extra references[12][13][14] to show you who Young Droop really is. Thanks Ben0kto (talk) 01:27, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
