Staunton, VA - Rail Transportation

[edit]

You've added some rail schedule info to the Staunton, VA article a couple of times. If you get a chance, drop a line in the talk page about why you think the whole route schedule should be there. Thanks. –BozoTheScary 21:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I put the whole route schedule in the article because this is an encyclopedia and the entries should be encyclopedic...In other words, tell the reader everything and let him/her filter out the content that is not of interest...Orthographer 23:28, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rail Schedules

[edit]

I'd also like to point out that adding the entire rail schedule of each city isn't particularly encyclopedic. Encyclopedias are supposed to be able to stand the test of time and Amtrak is pretty notorious for changing schedules often. Please take a look at the edits a couple of us made to the material you added to Portland, Oregon to see the level of detail I feel you should be aiming for. Anyone curious about rail schedules can easily follow the Amtrak link and find the link to their website there. Thanks! Katr67 18:54, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
