Joel Futterman, part deux

[edit]

Hi there. I removed your most recent edit to Joel Futterman because it was highly promotional of the subject, in violation of Wikipedia's policies for maintaining neutrality. Please read this page and this page too before trying again. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 19:14, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...and part three

[edit]

Boy, we're getting to learn all about Wikipedia today, aren't we? Please read this page regarding the adding of tons of quotes to an article without actually incorporating them into the text in any meaningful way. Also, it looks like you didn't take my advice regarding the adding of overly-promotional language, which is a clear violation of Wikipedia guidelines. There might be some valuable information you have to contribute to this article, but it is currently lost underneath a lot of promotional fluff. Please be advised that if the only way you wish to contribute to this article is to heavily promote the subject, it is likely that you will eventually be blocked from editing. Cheers, Steamroller Assault (talk) 19:44, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...oh yeah, and this too

[edit]

Also, the bit of promotional text that you have added twice to the Joel Futterman article is copyrighted material that appears on various commercial and social networking websites, including this one. Please note that for legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material. So even if the text you provided wasn't a violation of Wikipedia's neutrality guidelines, it would have to be removed as a clear copyright violation. Last chance

[edit]

I'm not sure why you don't want to take my advice, but once again you have chosen to add copyrighted and overly promotional material to the Joel Futterman article. So here's the deal. If you add copyrighted material to Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. If you add material that promotes the subject without giving any real information to Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. If you litter articles with quote after quote after quote, you will be blocked from editing. If you remove useful information (as in this case, Futterman's entire discography) without providing reasonable justification, you will--you guessed it--be blocked from editing. Now straighten up and work constructively, okay? Steamroller Assault (talk) 23:26, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
