Civility

[edit]

PhantomOTO, please avoid making comments like this one. You and Deathrocker may disagree on various matters of content, but please refrain from making personal comments or anything that might be construed as a personal attack. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! | Mr. Darcy talk 21:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Understood. It's all in the way you approach it. For example, you could point to a few specific edits where Deathrocker has maligned Encyclopedia Metallum, and let those diffs make the case for you. I thought your phrasing was too personal, and in my experience here, that sort of thing can cause tempers to flare. Thanks for getting back to me & hearing my concerns. | Mr. Darcy talk 22:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reminding me of the discussion that has been going on! Sorry I hadn't noticed that there had been new edits since I last discussed. I am recently working on the French Wikipedia (which is a big giant mess, especially concerning metal) and haven't spent a lot of my time on the original Wikipedia ^^ I will let you do the edits on Disturbed for the statement, since I got a lot of work to do... See you! Thanks! --Zouavman Le Zouave (Talk to me!See my edits!) 22:52, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping out against the Disturbed reverts. Without some intervention with the WP:HMM, this page will continue to present the band as "heavy metal." --Ryouga 04:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So what you're saying is, I have to go searching through the archives to find another source. As you are happy to remove a ref, but too lazy to replace it yourself?... thanks. Its done now anyways with one from the BBC instead.

Also you rolled back to where the redlinks are showing for "mallcore", that doesn't have an article now as it was deleted so linking it is pointless. - Deathrocker 15:50, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summary Request

[edit]

I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 22:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Succession boxes for #1 overall picks

[edit]

Hi, you are correct that consistancy should be maintained for these, however I personally do not like the redundancy of the succession box and the template, especially since they are stacked on top of eachother. I have posted a message at the Hockey Wikiproject looking to build consensus for what to do about them. I invite you to offer your comments as well at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey#Succession boxes. Thanks, Resolute 07:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
