Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification (CONCACAF), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. MOS:OVERLINK says major examples of countries should not be linked. Wburrow (talk) 15:34, 18 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It means Canada, United States, England, etc usually don't need to be linked in the article's body as they are common terms. It's usually ok to link them in info boxes. As you may have noticed, though, those countries are already usually linked in info boxes. Looking at your edit history, almost all of your edits are linking common terms that don't need to be linked. You are welcome to contribute to wikipedia but certain edits aren't helpful, even if they're not vandalism. I wouldn't describe your edits as vandalism but they aren't helpful either. May I suggest finding a different way to contribute? Since you seem to like wiki links, may I suggest Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage? That's a great place to add needed wiki links. I play around in there sometimes. Happy editting! Masterhatch (talk) 20:00, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I think I will just do the info boxes for now as I have not figured out the orphan articles page yet. Ramjeet Pudu (talk) 07:04, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
overlinking also applies to infoboxes. Please stop! Edwardx (talk)
