Hello! Last year, you signed up to participate in Wikipedia Asian Month (WAM) 2016 on the English Wikipedia. The event was an international success, with hundreds of editors creating thousands of articles on Asian topics across dozens of different language versions of Wikipedia.
I'd like to invite you to join us for Wikipedia Asian Month 2017, which once again lasts through the month of November. The goal is for users to create new articles on Asian-related content, each at least 3,000 bytes and 300 words in length. Editors who create at least four articles will receive a Wikipedia Asian Month postcard!
Also be sure to check out the Wikipedia Asian Art Month affiliate event - creating articles on Asian art topics can get you a Metropolitan Museum of Art postcard!
If you're interested, please sign up here for the English Wikipedia. If you are interested in also working on other language editions of Wikipedia, please visit the meta page to see other participating projects. If you have any questions, please visit our talk page.
This will be the last message you receive from the English Wikipedia WAM team for being a 2016 participant. If you sign up for WAM 2017, you will continue receiving periodic updates on the 2017 event.
Hi, Sczipo. All articles need sources, and biographies of living people need the sources to be WP:INLINECITED. This article appears to have no sources. External links are usually friendly suggestions rahter than sources actually used - in this case are they your sources? Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 12:10, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Sczipo, I was following this page and so thought the message to my talk page was from someone else I'd contacted. I've been through some of your creations, changing the headings from 'External links' to 'Sources', just to make it as clear as possible. It is much better for editors and readers if sources are WP:INLINECITED, and it is a requirement for articles on living people, so you can see straightaway which bits of the article are verified by reliable sources. It's hard for someone else to add these in later. Can you please move the sources inline? Thanks for your hard work on these, Boleyn (talk) 15:57, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I see, despite reminders, that you are continuing to create blps without WP:INLINECITED sources, such as Isa Mammetgulyyev. I will move this to Draft:Isa Mammetgulyyev for you to work on until it meets the basic Wikipedia requirements - these are really important for articlees on living people, it must be really clear where the information is from and if it is reliable. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:06, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand why you are kidding me? There are many articles in wikipedia with these methods, and theses doesn't strike anyone's eye (for exeample: George Tsivadze). I have listed sources that are official sites (ATP, ITF, Davis Cup). Best regards Sczipo (talk) 07:46, 6 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There are indeed many articles on Wikipedia that need work, but they are not the best example to use. We need to be really careful we are clear whether information on living people is properly verified or not, and that is why the consensus is that sources must be WP:INLINECITED if on living people. There is nothing wrong with the sources you have used, but by calling them 'external links' you were not making them clear they were your sources, and by not putting them inline it was very difficult for anyone to see if all the information was verified, and where to look for more information. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:22, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Sczipo. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Denis Yevseyev, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
Wikipedia editor Abishe just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Hello Sczipo: Enjoy the holiday season, and thanks for your work to maintain, improve and expand Wikipedia. Cheers, Abishe (talk) 20:39, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Máté Valkusz, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gyula (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Can you please add references to this article? As has been discussed before, 'external links' just means 'suggestions for further reading' - we need to know what your sources were. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 12:04, 15 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
An article you recently created, Turkmenistan at the Youth Olympics, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Sczipo, thanks for contributing to WIkipedia. I've messaged you many times, but haven't had any luck communicating with you. WP:Communication is required, as part of the policies WP:DISPUTE and WP:CONDUCT. There have been persistent issues with your referencing, e.g. on 2017 Asian Shotgun Championships, which could be very easily solved if you replied to messages. Do you understand that 'external links' just means 'suggestions for further reading'? WIll you add your sources clearly to articles, with a heading like 'References' or 'SOurces' so it is clear? It would be really helpful. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 09:49, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your new article on Riikka Honkanen. You may be aware that other editors have called for more verifiable information. So far the article has little for than a basic introduction to the skier's existence.

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by AngusWOOF was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines for sports persons and athletes). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Does not meet WP:NTENNIS, has not played in a match as described by the criteria there. Has not won in the ATP Challenger Tour tier, only Futures.

The Fed Cup participation isn't quite enough to pass WP:NTENNIS (as she didn't actually play the match), and none of the other claims on their own are strong enough either.

An article you recently created, Lin Ivarsson, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I noticed you added this section to the ACC women's basketball season page. I think it is a valuable addition and I've kept up the one on the men's page for a few years now. I was wondering if you had a good source that keeps up with these records or as a useful way to double check the numbers? Its really easy to make a small error that will lead to it being incorrect and I haven't found a great way to update/check it. Thanks! Swimmer33 (talk) 15:39, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't know if you knew but some conferences release a press release weekly that has records against other conferences in it. The ACC's from yesterday is here. I was using it to double check the records on the ACC season page and it seems like something is off but I'm unsure which is correct. There are a few discrepancies in the Power 7 conference records, but the press release's total losses says 20, but their numbers for each conference only add up to 18 total losses. I didn't change anything but figured you might want to check it out. Cheers. Swimmer33 (talk) 16:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think they had 20 losses until November 29, which is the same as the press release. 15 Power 7s, and 5 against members of other conferences. Sczipo (talk) 07:33, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The discrepancies are: American (press= 4-3, page 4-1) Big East (press = 1-2, page 1-4) SEC (press = 6-3, page 6-5). Not sure if you want to dig any deeper into those, but I'm going to leave it like you have it otherwise. Swimmer33 (talk) 14:49, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I checked our page. That is the good. If you count the press release you get 18 as you said.

Thank you for creating articles about tennis tournaments in Wikipedia. However, most of them are stubs that cannot be expanded. No non-primary, reliablecoverage can be found on them. If you continue to create this kind of articles and not provide SIGCOV, the articles might be draftified or even deleted due to the failing of GNG. I hope this finds you well and you might try to create more constructive articles in Wikipedia. Thank you. Timothytyy (talk) 05:01, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

You said: "I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time" others, for example Adamtt9 think it is OK. I made lot of ITF tournament pages and nobody have issue with that. Why are you kidding me? Please stop messing up my articles. Sczipo (talk) 08:04, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the notability guidelines, e.g. WP:GNG. Your articles appear to be poorly sourced without SIGCOV provided. Draftification is only applicable for newly-created articles; whether it is suitable or not isn't determined by any editor, nor if any prior similar articles exist, but by the basic guidelines. Approval from one editor doesn't mean that user also understands the guidelines. If you still fail to understand the basic requirements of an article, you may contact an administrator for advice. Thank you. Timothytyy (talk) 11:27, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Timothytyy was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
