RfD for Svensk

[edit]

You originally created a redirect at Svensk. Several months later, I changed it to a very brief article explaining what "svensk" is (and linking to Swedish, of course). Another user's insistence on having a redirect at that page has led me to reconsider whether Svensk should even exist at all on the English Wikipedia, so I have nominated it for discussion/deletion. If you are interested, see WP:RfD. Thanks for your time. --Tkynerd 00:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have been trying forever to get here. Let's work together in a big project! Also lets try to import pages from the mariowiki. Here is my template please improve it so it looks more like a template. {{mariowiki}}--Dummmmmmy 23:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Local Embassay

[edit]

You speak sweedish. So don't you help for Wikipedia:Local Embassay. The Local Embaasay is a place in Wikipedia for comunication for people in different languages so that they can speak their own language. It will be kind of like being an interperter. Plus, for the help you are doing you may become sysop.

Yay! Smiddle for sysop! He deserves it after all the help he did on other wikis!--Dummmmmmy 23:29, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm never going to become a sysop on English Wikipedia judging by the speed I contribute. – SmiddleTC@ 14:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Then maybe you should stick with one wiki for a while until you become sysop on that wiki and you should still do the local embassy since nobody does it for the sweedish wikipedia.--Dummmmmmy 23:26, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are two people on this Wikipedia being members of the Swedish embassy. By the way, I think that most Swedes know English anyway – SmiddleTC@ 15:01, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2010 could be coming to Stockholm!

[edit]

I'm leaving you a note as you may be interested in this opportunity.

People from all six Nordic Wiki-communities (sv, no, nn, fi, da and is) are coordinating a bid for Wikimania 2010 in Stockholm. I'm sending you a message to let you know that this is occurring, and over the next few months we're looking for community support to make sure this happens! See the bid page on meta and if you like such an idea, please sign the "supporters" list at the bottom. Tack (or takk), and have a wonderful day! Mike H. Fierce! 09:37, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on L33t Hamm3r Broz., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi. When you recently edited List of blues standards, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Steppenwolf (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Great Gig in the Sky

[edit]

I believe that was previously debated, on the basis that it was vocal instrumentation and not actual lyrics. Still, I won't contest its removal. I'm trying to take advantage of a lull in Real Work to get a few things done before I have to go back to work.

Besides, I've done plenty of work on the list as it is. Based upon the decision of an editor back in 2009 that it was easier to gut the list rather than clean it up, with no one really objecting, there may still be more work to be done. That decision needs to be revisited, but it's appearing to me that right now, interest in actually maintaining the encyclopedia (versus the usual political battles or being involved while ultimately pursuing other goals) is at an all-time low, at least since I've been involved.RadioKAOS (talk) 21:43, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Smiddle. I was wondering if you'd mind taking a look at the Shanghai'd in Shanghai article. The article is a stub which barely meets notability guidelines (if at all), and you quite correctly redirected it to the proper album article back in October 2011. Another editor has recently resurrected the article and has thus far done nothing to expand it while steadfastly blocking all attempts to have the redirect restored as the guidelines for song notability dictate be done. If you'd care to get involved it would be appreciated. Caper454 (talk) 12:31, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Deletion discussion about Crunge

[edit]

Hello, Smiddle,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Crunge should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Crunge .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,
