User talk:SpeechTech
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (SpeechTech) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.
There are two issues with this:
- It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
- Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.
Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. I've reverted your addition of a link to your company's web site on this article. Please read our conflict of interest guideline and also be aware of our guideline regarding spamming URLs. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:05, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Hammersoft, I understand your concern. However, the link provides a real demo of a system that resembles actual ATIS interfaces in a tower. The link is very similar to a system used at Hill Air Force Base in the U.S.A. Would it be best to rework the statement/link to state it is a real world demo? Thank you.
- No, I would let another Wikipedia editor find an example system to illustrate. It's not necessary for you or representatives of your company to do so. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:20, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thank you.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "SpeechTech", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 19:33, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
