Hi. When you recently edited Charles S. Fairchild, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Evergreen Cemetery (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Niels Vermeersch, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Agtx (talk) 16:38, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Oliver Ingraham Lay, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.aaa.si.edu/collections/oliver-ingraham-lay-charles-downing-lay-and-lay-family-papers-6011.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Vavitch

[edit]

Hello StarDeg,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Michael Vavitch for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ayub407 (talk) 18:55, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of The Temptations of Satan

[edit]

The article The Temptations of Satan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This film has not been the topic of any in-depth discussion in reliable sources. See https://books.google.de/books?id=ajXwxJuYd5gC&pg=PA555&lpg=PA555 for example: not even the plot has been described in detail. Clearly fails the General Notability Guideline.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Slashme (talk) 21:43, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of The Temptations of Satan for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Temptations of Satan is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Temptations of Satan until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Slashme (talk) 13:45, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Vasiliy Protopopov, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Hello, StarDeg. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Gloria Lloyd, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Vasiliy Protopopov, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:37, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Vasiliy Protopopov

[edit]

Hello, StarDeg. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Vasiliy Protopopov".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 12:00, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't redlink subjects (i.e. Wikilink them when there's no article about them) when there's little possibility of an article being written about the subject. Onscure actors from the 1920s are a prime example. If you're planning on writing an article yourself, write the article first and then Wikilink the subject. Thanks. Sources (again)

[edit]

I'm afraid I'm contacting you on the same issue again - external links just means suggestions for further reading - Serhiy Pashynskyi has only an external link and a references section, which is empty. As it is a biography of a living person, it needs clear references, WP:INLINECITED. Please add them. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 10:30, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for doing that. Please create all articles with clear references. Others with no sources include Vladimir Volodin (DONE), Clarence Handyside (DONE), Edgar Lewis (director), Joasaph Leliukhin, Richard Foster Baker (DONE), The Devil (1915 film), Dmitri Golubov (politician) and many others at [1]. Additionally, it looks like many may actually be sourced by imdb, which is specifically criticised at WP:RELIABLESOURCES because anyone can edit it, so its sources are unclear. Speedy deletion nomination of Anna Chance

[edit]

Hello StarDeg,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anna Chance for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Onel5969 TT me 20:22, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Anna Chance has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

5 shorts and a bit part... can't find any info on her pre-film career. Currently fails WP:GNG and WP:NACTOR.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. I've moved your article to draft space because you did not make any claim of notability or include any reliable references indicating notability. 11:36, 18 August 2018 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Arthur Earle, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Arthur Earle

[edit]

Hello, StarDeg. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Arthur Earle".

A tag has been placed on Category:Suicides in Paris requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
