Disambiguation link notification for September 30
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Waconda, Oregon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Skid. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

St Mark's Campanile
[edit]I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review the article on the bell tower of Saint Mark's. I'm glad you enjoyed it and will certainly adopt your suggestion to merge the two sections on the convocation of government assemblies. I'll also do an additional copy edit. Kind regards.Venicescapes (talk) 13:00, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
Good article reviews
[edit]I hope this message finds you well. I am Harrias, one of the co-ordinators of the current GAN backlog drive. As part of the drive, we carry out quality checks on all of the reviews carried out. Following a short discussion on the drive talk page: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles/GAN Backlog Drives/October 2020#Reviews by SurenGrig07, it is clear that there is a community consensus that you could benefit from some mentoring for carrying out Good article reviews. It is very unusual for an article to be of sufficient quality to be passed without any changes needed. Checking the reviews you have completed, each article is near the GA quality requirements, but all have shortcomings that could have done with work. Part of the purpose of the GA process is to help improve articles in Wikipedia, so a 'rubber-stamp' pass is of less value to the encyclopaedia than a review raising improvement points. I would ask that for the moment, you take a break from reviewing articles yourself; consider having a look at some of the reviews being carried out by others in the drive: links to those reviews are available on the drive page, where you added your own. If you would like to explore the idea of mentorship for conducting GA reviews, please reach out either at the drive talk page or at Wikipedia talk:Good article nominations. WikiProject Samsung Electronics
[edit]Hello, SurenGrig07. I recently made a proposal to create Wikiproject Samsung Electronics and was hoping that you would like to be among the first to support it! I chose you as I noticed you were a part of WikiProject Technology. If you would look over and put your name on this page, it would mean a lot to me! Copyedit on Heraclitus
[edit]Hi SurenGrig07, you accepted a request made at the GOCE Requests page to copy-edit the article Heraclitus. Your last edit to the article was at 10:16 on October 8, 2020 and you haven't yet declared the copy-edit done on the Requests page. Please tell us whether the copy-edit is completed—or whether you intend to complete it—so the request can be archived, left alone or returned to the list for someone else to work on. If no update is received and you make no further edits to the article in seven days a GOCE coordinator will strike your acceptance and return the request to the list. Thank you. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 17:28, 17 October 2020 (UTC) |

Requested copyedit of Acamptonectes
[edit]Thanks for your efforts, but FunkMonk is a regular at WP:GOCE/REQ and knows what they need from us for GA and FA. Lythronaxargestes may have taken over the copyedit, since you haven't worked on the article in almost a week and they seem more knowledgeable about the subject; technical articles can be tricky to copyedit without expertise in the field. You may have bitten off more than you can chew with this one, which we've all done at some point. Have you read Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/How to and Wikipedia:Basic copyediting? An experienced editor who's preparing a GAN or FAC isn't looking for an overhaul. It doesn't sound like English is your first language, and those articles require native or near-native fluency. Our backlog is growing again; I love working on backlog articles because usually no one is looking over my shoulder, there are few time constraints and they've taught me a lot about technical stuff like tables and image formatting. Stay well and all the best, Miniapolis 15:51, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- It also seems many parenthetical explanations of anatomical terms, which are crucial for lay-readers to understand it, have been removed. I'm not sure this is exactly what I understand a copy edit is supposed to be, so I'm afraid I may have to revert the article to its original state. FunkMonk (talk) 17:10, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message
[edit]SurenGrig07, you opened this GA review back in early December, but haven't posted to it (or edited on Wikipedia) for two months now. Do you plan on returning, or should we find a new reviewer to take over? If we don't hear within the next seven days, we'll have to assume the latter will be needed. Thank you very much, and I hope all is well with you. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:58, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset:, I shall primarily complete the review within the following 4 days, barring extenuating circumstances; if this does not occur, I shall indicate my desire for the transfer of the review to an additional editor. I appreciate the provision of this message; thank you. SurenGrig07 (talk) 00:12, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
- SurenGrig07, I see one addition, an Image Check section, on March 4. Can you please tell me your plans? It's been another month since your post above. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:31, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- I shall primarily complete the review upon March 20 and March 21; thank you for the provision of a notification. SurenGrig07 (talk) 05:49, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- SurenGrig07, it's long past March 21. It looks like you've been busy off-wiki, which is understandable. Life happens. However, it has been months since you have made significant progress on the review. If you won't be able to complete the review soon, please consider withdrawing so that another reviewer can finish the task; we need to be fair to the nominator, who nominated the article back in September and has been waiting for another four months since the review was opened. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:21, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
- SurenGrig07 and BlueMoonset, I came upon this discussion after noticing the article on the list at WP:GAN. If SurenGrig07 decides that it would be best not to continue with the review, I would be willing to finish it and provide feedback within a few days. Just let me know. I didn't want to create confusion on the review page itself if SurenGrig07 might be planning to continue. Larry Hockett (Talk) 14:38, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- Larry Hockett, I would say that whenever you're ready to start, go ahead. You've seen SurenGrig07's sole April edit, the section header added to the review on April 13 with no actual review text, which is now three and a half weeks ago. They promised completed reviews by February 20, and again by a month later. It's clear that this year has not been a good time for them to edit here. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:50, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Updating DXC Technology
[edit]I see you participate in the Technology WikiProject. I made a proposal to update the article on DXC Technology. You can see the proposal here: Talk:DXC Technology#Discussion on proposals Sep ‘22. I have a conflict of interest, so I am refraining from direct edits of the article. Could you possibly look at the proposals? Sincere thanks, Epictetusfollower (talk) 23:58, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
