About the ECW Championship
They just don't seem to get it do they... Well here's a ref I guess you could use. At SS I had the opportunity to talk to Matt Striker and I asked him just out of curiosity if they as commentators had ever been told to treat the major titles in any specific way. This was actually more about the ECW Championship so the question I was really asking was if they were supposed to treat it different from the World Heavyweight and WWE Championship in terms of "world status". His response was that they are given certain rules and guidelines by Vince McMahon when talking about certain things but as for the ECW Championship, Vince sees it as one of the world titles in the company and has never given them any specific instructions on how to talk about the title. So when we got home I popped in SS that my mom recorded to see how I came out and during the ECW Championship match entrances, sure enough... fast forward to 1:57 --UnquestionableTruth-- 17:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well that quote from SummerSlam was, "This is the first of three World's Championship matches here at SummerSlam as Captain Charisma electrifies the Staples Center here at SummerSlam."
- Now also at Breaking Point during the ECW Championship match... another Striker quote... "Josh, to illustrate the global impact of this contest, if William Regal wins the ECW Championship, he'll become the 9th non-U.S. born superstar to capture a World Title in the last 15 years. The WWE has certainly gone global and who better to wear the crown than William Regal." --UnquestionableTruth-- 19:34, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Suggestion for the list of Raw Celeb GMS.
Hi TJSpyke.
I noticed the battle you are having on the Wrestling Authority figures pages concerning the temporary Raw GM's and I thought of a suggestion to make everyone happy, but you don't have to use it. I understand why you don't want it on the page because we do not know how long it will be going on for and it would disrupt the balance on the page (if itgoes on for 2 years for example) Although I am not sure what Fancruft means as it says on the "Fancruft" page that it would only be important for rabid wrestling fans, but I know people who would like to know this stuff. I noticed in the talk page you were comparing the list of the GMs to a list of every SNL episode ever made. It would be a bad idea. However if I am not mistaken, aren't there lists on Wikipedia for every season of SNL with every host musical guest and cast breakdowns. There are tons of articles on Wikipedia where you have episode lists of TV Shows and lists of people who have been on the cover of a certain magazine and there is no opposition to them. I'm just curious as to why it would be a problem for this particular page. (This is something that is a bit puzzling to me when using Wikipedia)
So what I would suggest to appease everyone is to create a seperate article dealing with the Celeb Raw GMS and maybe you could have a link to that page on the Authority figures page. Then it wouldn't disrupt the balance on the page and it would make everybody happy. I just wanted to suggest this. I hope it's cool. I don't know how long this edit war is going to be, but I just want to see everyone happy.70.31.220.110 (talk) 16:25, 15 September 2009 (UTC)samusek2

What do you think so far, about to place it in after the PPV?--WillC 00:41, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- I used the age is days template, so they should be correct. Considering the template is a quick reference mainly, that is why I had them linked multiple times. That should change with time after multiple champions are crowned and the stats change. Thanks for the feedback.--WillC 00:48, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Do you think we should try to get A.J. Styles protected. There is a very good chance of alot of edits by ips now that he has won the world title tonight.--WillC 03:36, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Time Warner bought most of the assets of Midway, including some Midway studios, but it does not own the stock of Midway Games, Inc. Whitespace on Template:Pokémon
In response to your last edit summary, I also edit templates on a regular basis, and after cleaning up over 150 navboxes (many of them roughly half the size of this one), I can attest to the difference whitespace makes in source readability. The presence of whitespace in a template's source has no impact on the software-imposed template limits, so that can't be your concern here. In addition, why would you remove the whitespace from only portions of the template's source? 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 17:10, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

I don't suppose you'd care to give me an example or two of your other template work, though? I'd really appreciate seeing if I can pick up any new tricks from your stuff. =) 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 17:35, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

RE
Say what? Your repeated reverts on List of World Heavyweight Champions (WWE) to every editor, has got me to the point that I'm ready to report you for 3RR. So, seeing from it at the moment, I believe you have violated that rule. After further inspection, I'll see if you have done any wrong. This is a warning at the moment.--WillC 23:20, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- The fact you added a note that was agreed to not be noted that was removed by three editors before would show some interest to admins. From what I've gathered in the edits, reverting edits to a user who haded refs would show interest, then starting an edit war over those refs would be interesting. Your history of edit warring over the notes should show some interest. At the moment, I'll let it slide since you have been around a while. But remember, I'm watching. Certainly on WWE Bragging Rights, you have two reverts there.--WillC 23:31, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- At the moment that situation is split 3 to 3. A poster is nice to use, and I agreed with using the In Demand poster as I usually do. But now that a new logo is out, it would be better to use something with it in it, or the logo. Preferably I would rather use the logo over the wallpaper, but being accurate it all that matters to me. Now understand, I don't hate you so the situation at ANI, etc is nothing personnel, it is just business. Accurancy, etc is all it is about.--WillC 00:32, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Chris Benoit
TJ, please don't take my edits as an attack on you. However, it appears you do not understand the process of establishing the cause of death, and determining the killer in a murder-suicide. You seem to think a trial is needed for him to be the murderer. This is simply not true. In such a case, the coroner and investigators have the legal authority to make findings--just like a judge. In this case, they determiend--as is their legal right--that the action was commited by Benoit and it was in fact a murder. Thus, any statement tot he contrary, even the use of "suspected" is giving undue weight to a POV that is irrational and unsupported. Furthermore, givent he facts, any edit to the contrary is being done in bad faith and is vandalism. You may disagree witht his perspective, as is your right, however, it is impossible to disagree with the undue weight argument and the fact that legal authorities have stated he is the murderer. Thanks. Also, in the future, place the comments on the article talk page instead of my talk page. thanks again. CraigMonroe (talk) 19:12, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
Inaccurate edit summary
You're not repairing links to disambiguation pages, what you are doing is bypassing redirects. Please see Wikipedia:R2D, we typically do not fix redirects that are not broken. –xenotalk 17:36, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
You've also been running this task in inappropriate places like archives, archived discussions, etc. You should cease this task, it is not necessary. –xenotalk 17:46, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
I only fix the link if it is obvious what they are talking about (like if they link to "E3" while talking about video games, it is obvious they are referring to "Electronic Entertainment Expo"). There is no reason to be reverting all of my edits, especially since my edits are actually improving them. TJ Spyke 17:49, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Do not fix links to redirects that are not broken, and especially do not do so on talk pages, user pages, archived discussions. –xenotalk 17:53, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Again, if anything it is improving them. As for talkpages/userpagers/etc., they are no different than regular articles in terms of what is allowed in terms of editing. I don't know what problem you have with it (and you are the only one I have seen), it doesn't affect you and it improves Wikipedia. TJ Spyke 17:58, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:R2D and cease fixing redirects that are not broken. This is a guideline and your reason for "fixing" these redirects that aren't broken isn't compelling. The fact that there is a section of a guideline that specifically covers this should indicate that I am not the only one who has a problem with this. –xenotalk 18:00, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also, talk pages ARE different than articles in that you should not edit other comments. Neither should you edit archived discussions. Perhaps there is a reason they linked to a redirect. Perhaps not. Either way, no need to fix it, nor should you. Save yourself the effort. Sorry if I'm coming off as overly curt here, but these edits are entirely unnecessary. –xenotalk 18:32, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

- Please review this edit. These are the types of redirects you should not be fixing, so I restored the entirely appropriate redirects. Now if someone creates an article at any of those redirects, there is already a link in place. –xenotalk 20:28, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Mac OS X move proposal
Hi there,
In September you commented on the proposal to move Mac OS X Snow Leopard to its original title, Mac OS X v10.6. I believe that its current title is most appropriate, and have opened another proposal for Mac OS X v10.3, v10.4, and v10.5 to follow this new convention and be moved to Mac OS X Panther, Tiger, and Leopard, respectively. I'd like to establish a consensus on the subject, and since you were involved in the previous discussion on the subject, I thought you might like to offer an opinion here as well. There is only one vote other than my own so far, and I'd like to hear some more opinions rather than declare a consensus on this limited basis.
Thanks in advance. If you'd like to contact me, please do so on my user talk page or the proposal itself. —INTRIGUEBLUE (talk|contribs) 21:32, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Incorrectly deleted information
You have deleted a post I added regarding Super Mario Bros. The rules of posting clearly state content must be verifiable and be referenced by a reliable source. My statement that a person can reach World -1 by beating Super Mario Bros. 8 times in a row without being touched by a single enemy is verifiable. A person is still able to obtain the original Super Mario Bros. and complete the task.
Regarding the reliability of the source, that is debatable. As the only person I know to have successfully completed the above task, I would likely be classified as the premier expert on the subject.
I would accept editing my post with a statement similar to "a person has claimed to have reached the World -1 by..." but your deliberate act of the complete removal of the information is a major reason the academic community holds Wikipedia in such low regard.
I am not going to re-edit the original article because I feel this isn't really worth my time. I just wanted to let you know that you have inappropriately removed real information from the public domain that many people may be interested in. Jimmy oh (talk) 15:12, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Response to 'Incorrectly deleted information response'
Apologies if I am violating some Wikipedia communication methodology.
I have a very large ego. I also have correspondingly large accomplishments. A person can classify themselves as an expert if they are an expert, it is just extremely rude to do so. (I understand a non-expert may not understand this concept.)
You can't accurately compare a resource like Encyclopedia Britannica to Wikipedia. It is similar to comparing Albert Einstein to my chronically ill West Highland Terrier.
Rather than acknowledging someone somewhere might have accomplished a task, would like to share the results of said task with others in case they would like to reproduce it, you choose to hide the information from the world because, I assume, the information would only be deemed worthy if the writers of the original code verified they included the option to reach World -1 if a person were to beat the game 8 times in a row.
Your censorship of my edit was done inappropriately. If you do not have the proper frame of reference to understand my point, I will not commit any more time in helping you achieve it.
Any further response from me can be assumed to be "I'm rubber, you're glue" or "I know you are but what am I", whichever you prefer. Jimmy oh (talk) 17:26, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Do not delete warning comments from pages. Your edits to The Critic ignored the rules WP:TENSE which were clearly stated in the comment you deleted. -- Horkana (talk) 00:24, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- And you clearly don't know how to edit based on your action. TJ Spyke 00:37, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Your edit summary: Previous editor is either inexperienced or not a good editor. You don't revert an entire good edit just because you disagee with one part (BTW, the tense should be "was")). Your initial edit was in bad faith, you changed the wording ignoring a clear warning explaining exactly why you should not change the tense but you did it anyway. You are not a good editor. If your edit had been in good faith and something more important than disambiguating links I might have made the extra effort to preserve the edits. Your rude edit summary and belligerent claim that the tense should be "was" made it look like more bad faith on your part. Do not expect others to be generous with their time if you ignore and delete warnings and make impolite comments. -- Horkana (talk) 01:32, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- Your own user profile says it more succinctly "This user has experienced edit wars and does not wish to be involved again. Please be civil and no personal attacks." -- Horkana (talk) 01:39, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Curious
Just a little curious as to why you use WikiCleaner to "cleanup" redirects? Both the edit summary and the primary purpose of WC is to find and correct links to dab pages. Cleaning up redirects seems to be a waste of the software's time, isn't it?
— .`^) Paine Ellsworthdiss`cuss (^`. 06:08, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
- I disagree. There is very little harm in redirects, and they can stop readers from scratching their heads and wondering why they landed on a page they weren't expecting. I can understand wanting to fix a dab link, but I must ask you to follow the guideline and stop fixing redirects with the bot. It makes you and the bot look "anal".

- Just to show you that I agree there are some times when "fixing" Redirects is the right thing to do, I fixed one today in a template, because the page about a town in India was not highlighted (bolded and unlinked) on the template (due to the Redirect). So yes, TJ, there are times when it's appropriate... just not all the time.

- PS. So while Redirects in article namespace are really no big deal, templates are a good place to "fix" Redirects. In case you're interested, it was the Template:World's most populous urban areas where I fixed the Redirect (#43).

"despite some morons thinking they are and are too lazy to check guidelines and policies"

On my talk page you wrote:
As any editor here who knows me will say, I don't hold back my thoughts and opinions. You admit on your page that you are politically incorrect too. Yes, I think people who assume schools are automatically notable are morons. Everytime I see someone say "Keep, schools are notable" in an AFD, I want to punch that person. There is no policy or guideline to support that claim, and existing ones actually say schools are subject to the same general guidelines as all articles. That AFD should not have been speedy closed, and the admin should not have flat out lied in their reason (the admin closed it, the nominator did not withdraw the nomination). I would have said Delete because that school is clearly not notable enough to have a article. TJ Spyke 04:25, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- And this school is notable, as a quick news search showed (and yes whoever loved the article in the 1st place should have done so but they aren't editing). The news is typical high-school news... opened, school happy... kid committed suicide, school sad... team won, school happy... team lost, school fires coach... team still losing, coach quits... blah blah blah why bother? I like the merge idea, small school, small town, no real content. The afd was a waster, if one sees a school article with nothing there, easypoof redirect, no fuss no muss no bother.
- "lied" - I doubt that. Incorrect I would support. wp:AGF.
- The moron thing wasn't politically incorrect, that was a wp:personal attack. You know better.
- PC snarkiness would be: using a disability as an insult is insulting not only to the target, but to those who cherish the disabled individuals, and the disabled.
- You need not answer me, you surely don't need my approval. :) But if you do answer, you may safely do it here, as I will watch for a couple of days for any comment.
- Sinneed 04:40, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe I should have chosen my words more carefully, but I just got sick of how many people assume schools are notable just for being schools (and then use that as their ONLY basis for voting Keep in a AFD). As for calling the admin a liar, I don't know what else to call him TBH. The nominator didn't show any signs of wanting to withdraw the deletion nomination, yet the admin claimed they did. - My thought was "Withdrawn?! Now THAT's a screwup!" - but that is just me. My boss argues I am far too trusting. I can't agree with him. :) - Sinneed 16:34, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Hold on
Before automatically reverting everything I've done, please look at the response I left on my talk page. Thanks. -Thibbs (talk) 21:24, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Bragging Rights note
Just stop. There is nothing wrong with updating it with each fall result. If you are going to resort to "this isn't a place for fanboy updates", you might as well just have no match results until every PPV is officially over. So leave the article alone instead of watching it and reverting any little thing. Fall results are equal to match results, so stop forcing people to conform to your personal opinion. RobJ1981 (talk) 02:40, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Whatever. You need to stop thinking you are right all the time, then you wouldn't be edit warring so much over articles you watch. Don't use a bad mood as an excuse. No one forced you to reply, so next time turn the computer off instead of posting rude remarks towards people. RobJ1981 (talk) 04:39, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
