[edit]Hello, I'm Tolly4bolly. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Sunayana Fozdar, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Tolly4bolly 09:03, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
Can you explain it briefly? Vedant04072005 (talk) 09:09, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 24
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alexander Gardner (photographer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Gardner. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:35, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Robert Boyle, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Elizium23 (talk) 05:41, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please refer to MOS:DATE before changing dates. Thanks, Denisarona (talk) 07:44, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Che Guevara, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Elizium23 (talk) 06:58, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
It looks bad though without commas Vedant04072005 (talk) 07:00, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- Perhaps you are used to seeing the American style date with the month first, and a comma after the day of month. But in Europe and England, for example, the date format is different. Just look at how Wikipedia automatically formatted your signature. Elizium23 (talk) 07:03, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
So should I use the american format? Vedant04072005 (talk) 07:05, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
- No. Read MOS:DATE. In a nutshell, we use the date format preferred for the topic, or we preserve the date format already used in the article. They should be consistent inside one article. If you are in doubt, do not change them. Elizium23 (talk) 07:11, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. I see warnings above about removing birth date templates and changing date formats, but you've just done exactly that at George III. Please note that it is disruptive to continue with a series of edits after being asked to stop. DrKay (talk) 20:06, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
- Per Template:Infobox person, please also note that the 'birth name' parameter should only be used if it is different from the 'name' parameter. DrKay (talk) 20:10, 28 February 2021 (UTC)
