The Lagrange invariant is defined Ж=H=nū y - nu ȳ, where y and u are the marginal ray height and angle and ȳ and ū are the chief ray height and angle. Ж² is proportional to the throughput of the optical system (related to etendue)^[1]. For a given optical system, the Lagrange invariant is a constant throughout all space, that is, it is invariant upon refraction and transfer.

The optical invariant is a generalization of the Lagrange invariant which formed using the ray heights and angles of any two rays. For these rays, the optical invariant is a constant throughout all space.

Team Infamous is a professional paintball team that plays under the name Los Angeles Infamous in the NPPL and as Oakland Infamous in the PSP.

History

Team Infamous was formed out of former Avalanche players who left Avalanche to join the NXL. The team originally played under the name Miami Effect. Team Infamous was formally created when the players of Miami Effect left the NXL to play in the NPPL. Infamous came out on top winning their very first NPPL event and beating Team Dynasty for the first time ever in the finals. It was a major upset that changed paintball forever reuniting the paintball competition. Infamous went on to repeat another win in Denver the following event. Infamous rose to the top and eventually other teams began buying and stealing their players. The team went through some rebuilding stages but has managed to grab back many of their former players and added a few veteran players from other top teams for the 2007 year.

A Controvercial governing system used in partes of upstate New York, Independent of local govornment. involves a system of governing councils, ruled by a President and concisting of 10 or more council members. Used to govern small bodies of citizens. Original idea founded by Professor Jesse Sinclair (deceased) on March 14, 1912 in Antigua, and later refined by various professsors.

Note- experimental system only. Not used by local, state, or nation goverments.

Kritikal Mazz is an Icelandic hiphop band. It consists of Ciphah, Reptor, Ágústa Eva, Plain and Scienz. They signed a record deal with Bad Taste and released their self titled debut album in 2002 which was nominated as "Hiphop album of the year" at the Radio X & Undirtónar Music Awards. They have performed at Iceland Airwaves twice, in 2001 and 2002. In 2002 they opened up for J-Live.

Mojo (Real name unknown)

Mojo, whose real name is unknown, Was believed to be a young African-Amrican teenager who had hopped a freight train passing through Calvert and died when he either fell or jumped from the locomotive into a creek.

Officials tracked down the boy's family two months later, but the family was unable to pay the $103 necessary to bury him. So, Mojo remained in the funeral home where he resided for more than 80 years, through transfers of ownership and moves from building to building.

During the first few years he was known to watch over poker games held in the back of the funeral parlor where he was kept, possibly earning him the name "Mojo"

For years, the curious have been able to visit Mojo and get a look at his mummified face through a window in his casket.

Mojo was finally laid to rest after citizens of Calvert took up a collection to pay for his final expenses. Mojo's funeral conceded with Juneteenth, the anniversary of the 1865 reading of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas.

His funeral was held on June 19, 2002 at 2PM

Adpack is an advertising ideas generator created by Rudy Labordus. It is a system of marketing strategy cards. There are three packs of 50 cards each, including a Media pack, an Offer pack and a Power Word pack. Combining one of each kind in a three card sequence forms a marketing idea. Each different combination of cards provides a different idea.

Adpack also comes with a strategy board which gives a nine card layout on a grid. One grid of 3 x 3 x 3 gives 27 possibilities. The 50 x 50 x 50 card combination gives 125,000 ideas.

Good Time Charlie is a cover band that lives in Montreal Canada. They play at local pubs like Hurley's Irish Pub and other local places along St Catherine St. in Montreal.

Magitra lardas is a sweet, generous, and caring lady who loves all of her kids. She has about 400 kids every year. She loves them equally and unconditionally. Magitra loves pizza romana and long walks on the beach. She wishes stephen donovan would apply himself more, but miracles aren't common. Also she has a creative imagination and persuasive personality. I don't know of a more profound teacher in the surrounding south hills area. She was a presidential candidate in 1984. She lost by a popular vote of 41% to 37%. She shook hands with Lincoln the night before he died. Also, she invented frozen yogurt and the breakfaqst sandwich.

William "Bill" Millard

William "Bill" Millard was the founder of IMS Associates, makers of the IMSAI series of computers and the electroincs retailer ComputerLand. Founding IMS Associates in the early 1970's, he parlayed the initial success of IMS into retailing the result being the ComputerLand chain of computer stores. Legal troubles from the failure of IMS, centered largely on a convertible note from the Marriner partnership that was later sold to a group of investors, led to a lawsuit in which Millard lost a substantial portion of his stake in ComputerLand. In the late 1980's Millard relinquished control of ComputerLand and sold his stake in the retailer. He and his family moved to Saipan where he removed himself from the public view. Millard is rightly credited as the "father" of modern computer retailing.

Markee Castle

The Markree Castle, located in, Collooney, County Sligo, Ireland, is one of Ireland’s most prestigious historical landmarks. The castle still stands tall today, and has been around for 370 years now. Behind the walls of the Markree castle lays a lot of history. In the 16th century when the Ireland was first invaded by Cromwell of England, is when the history of the Markree Castle begins. The castle was given to a young officer, Edward Cooper, as a gift for defeating the very revered local O’Brien clan. The Markree castle has been a fight for the Coopers to keep throughout following years. In the late 1600’s the Catholic army inhibited the island, forcing the Coopers to leave, when King James tried to regain the throne of England. Then in the 1920’s during the Irish Civil War the castle was taken over by the Free State Army. Eventually the Cooper family was able to return, where today Charles Cooper is the current owner of the castle. He is the direct descendent of the second Cooper son of Edward. The castle is still open today, and on the beautiful country side of Ireland none the less. People from all over come to the castle today where weddings, and business conferences are arranged. Tourists also come to simply enjoy the sites and history the Markree castle has to offer as well as the activities around the land. These activities include world famous golf courses of Ireland, fishing, horseback riding, shooting breaks, and even archery lessons. The Markree Castle is not only a major historical sight, but also a pleasant place to take a vacation.

Nacque a Urbino il 27 novembre 1804, figlia del nobile Filippo Corradi e della nobile signora Vittoria Peroli (v. Palazzo Peroli a Urbino). Per aver avuto la sua famiglia varie liti che il padre non ha potuto sostenere, Clorinda dovette per necessità darsi giovanissima alla vita di teatro. Divenne cantante (contralto) di molto valore. A 19 anni uscita dalla scuola dell' abilissimo. maestro di canto Filippo Ceili esordi nel modesto teatro di Recanati (carnevale 1823) con esito assai fortunato, sostenendo la parte della protagonista dell' Italiana in Algeri e nella Cenerentola. “La prima donna è una bella figura sul teatro piena di freschezza e di gioventù.” Così scriveva il conte Carlo Leopardi, dando ragguaglio dell'esecuzione di .queste opere a suo fratello, il sommo poeta: “È poi amabile, perché, non essendo ancora corrotta s'investe dei sentimenti puri, come l’amore, l'amor patrio, con tutto il fuoco di un naturale Romagnolo (!), e con una schiettezza tale che pare assolutamente esprimere il vero. Queste son le doti, che le passeranno insieme col giungere delle altre, il maggior possesso del palco, del canto ecc.”. Ma le altre doti giunsero senza che queste passassero; talché, dopo soli due anni di tirocinio, la giovane artista meritò d’essere chiamata alla Pergola di Firenze (1825); e d’allora in poi ricevette scritture per quasi tutti gli altri principali teatri d'Italia. Nella primavera del 1830 quando non aveva che 26 anni, eseguiva alla Canobbiana di Milano il Conte Ory di Rossini, nuova per quella città, in compagnia dei già celebri Duprez, Mariani e Galli ottenendo le lodi del severo critico della Gazzetta di Milano, che rilevava in lei “bella voce, buon metodo, sentimento ed anima”. Altri giornali esaltavano anche l’estensione della sua voce, pregio che si era già manifestato ai suoi primi uditori. “Ha (la Corradi} un potere di voce di una estensione straordinaria”. Così Carlo Leopardi in un’altra lettera a Giacomo “Figurati che la Bandi di cui raccontano che alcuni inglesi comprarono il cadavere per esaminare la costruzione, da cui risultava la molteplicità prodigiosa delle sue carde, aveva due tuoni meno di questa, che ha due ottave e due tuoni limpidi, e più, sforzandosi……..Il maestro mi ha fatto vedere sul pianoforte, che ella ha, considerando in chiave di violino dal G solreut con due tagli in collo sotto le righe fino al B mi con un taglio in collo sopra le righe e, in caso di bisogno, arriva anche al C solfaut e al C solfaut diesis. La sua chiave è di contralto, per cui è scritta la sua parte nella Cenerentola; e t' assicuro che è un gusto il vedere quel temerario uomo di Rossini così ben rivaleggiato e messo al dovere". Dopo aver corso festeggiatissima mezza Italia ed aver colti i copiosi allori in Spagna, fu chiamata nell’America del Sud nell’autunno del 1835 da cui non fece più ritorno. Ecco l'elenco dei teatri in cui lei comparve, desunto dai libretti delle opere da lei cantate e dai giornali del tempo: 1823: Recanati e Fermo, 1824: Recanati e Livorno, 1825: Firenze (Pergola), 1826 primavera: Chieti, 1826: estero, 1828 primavera: Messina, 1828: Lugo, Rovigo e Venezia (La Fenice), 1829: Lugo, Ancona, Padova, Bergamo e Bologna (Comunale), 1830: Parma, Milano (Canobbiana), Brescia, 1831: Parma, Milano (Canobbiana), Lucca, Firenze (Pergola), 1832: Barcellona, Milano (Scala) 1833: Valenza, 1834: Jesi, 1835: Livorno, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna (estate). Cantò in Avana, a Matanzas, a Lima, a Santiago, a Valparaiso e da per tutto con tale successo che in breve riuscì ad adunare grandi ricchezze. Nel marzo del 1844 la compagnia diretta da Raffaele Pantanelli, marito della Corradi, dove lavorava come scenografo anche il fratello Nestore Corradi si trasferì da Lima in Cile. A Santiago debuttarono il 2 aprile 1844 nel teatro dell'università con Capuleti e Montecchi di Bellini, opera che indicava un cambio estetico nel pubblico: dal bel canto si passava a Verdi nel 1850. Lo sviluppo commerciale e le ricchezze minerarie scoperte di recente in Cile, avrebbero avuto un effetto benefico per quanto riguarda la lirica. Nel 1844 venne infatti costruito a Valparaíso un enorme e lussuoso teatro d'opera con milleseicento posti e fu inaugurato nel dicembre dello stesso anno, quando la compagnia Pantanelli debuttò in questa città. I cantanti integrati nella compagnia continuarono a lavorare in Cile fino al 1856. Clorinda Corradi Pantanelli si ritirò dalle scene nel 1856. Ma poi avendo il marito Raffaele Pantanelli di Jesi, men che mediocre cantante, esposti i capitali per un' impresa arrischiata con una società francese, per fallimento di questa perse quasi ogni cosa. Aveva allora circa 50 anni, né poteva sperar più nulla nella sua professione. Ma se le era venuta meno la voce, le restava ancora l'arte, patrimonio che non si perde né per volger d'anni né per cangiar di fortuna; e trovò di che vivere per se e per la famiglia, accettando nel 1861 l’ufficio di maestra di Canto che le fu offerto dal Conservatorio Nazionale di Santiago In Cile. Si ritirò nel 1873 e tre parlamentari cileni chiesero che gli fosse conferita una pensione particolare riferendo in parlamento “"...En la época de su gloria artística, muchos de sus lauros conquistados por el esfuerzo y el trabajo de su gloria artística, ornaron, como joyas de precio, las ofrendas que tributaban la caridad a la viudez enferma y a la orfandad desvalida. La noble artista hacía de su arte una esperanza consoladora que curaba el dolor y que tomaba bajo su amparo a la miseria". Ebbe un figlio, cui pose il nome di Romeo dalla bella opera belliniana che fu uno dei cavalli di battaglia del suo repertorio, ed una figlia, Alaide, che si dedicò all’arte coreografica. La Corradi morì a Santiago del Cile il 29 giugno 1877. Un quadro di Clorinda è conservato in Santiago del Cile nel Museo di Arte Contemporanea e rappresenta Clorinda sulla scena della Norma di Bellini.
