Insufficient WP:RS with non trivial coverage to satisfy GNG or NARTIST. NYT article only says "And Stephen Pauley, in the show’s most striking and unorthodox work, carves paintinglike reliefs from panels of dark granite." and the WaPo article doesn't seem to exist outside of this article, and his own CV. I couldn't find it, or any reference to him on the WaPo site [1]. The WaPo article is only one paragraph in a review of an MFA group show -- promising, but not enough for N. Exhibition history includes Vanity Galleries. Theredproject (talk) 21:53, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

- Leaning delete The article has been around since 2009, but gets hardly any views - 1550 in 5 years. A large addition of probable COI in 2014 (Brooklyn ip who only ever edited this article). Johnbod (talk) 22:03, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- Comment: The nominator stated that "the WaPo article doesn't seem to exist outside of this article, and his own CV. I couldn't find it, or any reference to him on the WaPo site". However, the article from The Washington Post can be found here. I found it with the first Google search I did for the article. MarkZusab (talk) 22:16, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- @MarkZusab: Wild. I searched Google, WaPo and Onesearch, and literally got nothing. Thank you for finding the link. Theredproject (talk) 23:42, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- The Baltimore Sun's article seems to be this: https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-2005-06-21-0506210236-story.html Vexations (talk) 18:42, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Vexations, yes, another passing reference to the same one work from the same MFA group show. “ The intriguing companion exhibition in the second-floor gallery of recent works by Steve Pauley, whose images of commonplace objects -- advertising fliers, graffiti and other ephemera -- are given monumental permanence in stone sculptures, rounds out the center's offerings.” Not enough, IMHO for N. Theredproject (talk) 18:57, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- Theredproject, Ah, no it's not enough. Agree that there isn't sufficient critical attention in independent, reliable sources to sustain an article. Delete Vexations (talk) 19:02, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

- Delete a non-notable artist.John Pack Lambert (talk) 16:30, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- Weak delete per WP:SIGCOV - there's some coverage but it's not in depth. Also, he's exhibited in New York, a major art capital, but in secondary galleries (Broadway Gallery, St. Mary the Virgin Church's church hall, some spaces in Brooklyn). Bearian (talk) 02:34, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
- Bearian, FYI for future reference, Broadway Gallery was a known Vanity Gallery. Pay to play. Doesn't establish N. In fact, does quite the opposite ;-) Theredproject (talk) 00:10, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. There are some sources discussing this article but not enough to establish notability. Andrew327 14:30, 11 June 2020 (UTC)
