Non-free logos being used in a list at TopCoder in a purely decorative fashion thus failing WP:NFCC#8. Also lacking in rationales thus failing WP:NFCC#10c. Whpq (talk) 01:32, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Whpq: I have uploaded and used these logos in the table with approval from Topcoder staff. They are more than happy to show these logos in the table, but not necessarily want to release them as free images. Thus I have just used the same Logo copyright template, which is used for company logo in the head of the page, which marks the image as copirighted, but fine to use in the context of the article. Please advice, how should I change the copyright / description of these logos to keep them in Wikipedia. Birdofpreyru (talk) 12:14, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Birdofpreyru: - The use of non-free images must meet all of the non-free content criteria. I do not believe that the way the images are being used in the article meets the significance demanded by point 8 as noted in the nomination statement. - Delete all that are used in the table. WP:NFTABLE speaks to this. We do not need a logo for every single event to understand these are all TopCoder events. There is nothing gained by the display of these logos. @Birdofpreyru: with respect, it doesn't matter if the company has approved the use or not. Such approvals have no bearing here. The only way we would accept this use is if the company released all the logos under a free license, which I am sure they are unlikely to do. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:18, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

The link included in the "Permission" field provides no such permission, and the page of the website that includes the image declares a copyright by the publisher.
