Czech bishop of the diocese of Litomyšl and later diocese of Olomouc, later cardinal. In English also referred to as John the Iron, in Czech as Jan Železný, born as Jan Bucek or Jan Bucka.

"Answer of the Bishop of Luthonis, to the last Part of the Supplication which the Nobles of Bohemia presented unto the Council" (his answer to the complaint of Czech nobility to the Council of Constance regarding the imprisonment of Jan Hus.)
