Etymology

Borrowed from Javanese ꦫꦸꦢꦥꦼꦏ꧀ꦱ (rudapeksa), from Old Javanese rodra (Rudra-like, violent) +‎ pakṣa (intention), from Sanskrit रौद्र (raudra, violent, wild) +‎ पक्ष (pakṣa). Introduced in Sidang Komisi 1952 as translation of Dutch geweld by Prijana.
