Etymology

жид (žid, a Jewish person, a kike) +‎ -о- (-o-) +‎ банде́ровец (bandérovec, a Banderite). This word was originally coined in 2006 by Ukrainian users, as a mockery of Russian ultranationalist views against their country. Later both used unironically by Russian nationalists, and as a self-deprecatory term by some Ukrainians to mock Russian nationalists.
