Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from New Latin nostalgia, coined from Ancient Greek νόστος (nóstos, “returning home”) + ἄλγος (álgos, “pain”). Compare Russian ностальги́я (nostalʹgíja), Belarusian настальгі́я (nastalʹhíja).
