[edit]Compound of 出羽 (Dewa, “Dewa Province”) + の (no, attributive marker) + 守 (kami, “the highest rank of kokushi”).

- Blend of 出羽 (Dewa) + では (de wa, “at, in”), making fun of the fact that such people often use phrases like 「アメリカでは〜」 (“in America, ...”) and 「北欧では〜」 (“in the Scandinavian countries, ...”).[1][2][3] Also, the character 守 implies that their way of talking is arrogant and condescending.[3]
