Orthographic borrowing from Sumerian ๐ (imin /โ uminโ /, โsevenโ).
๐ โข (IMIN)
Almost certainly an additive compound of ๐ (iโ /โ iโ /, โfiveโ) + ๐ซ (min, โtwoโ). Now mostly read umin. The /u/ in umin is due to analogy with the initial sound of ๐ (ussu, โeight, 8โ). The form umum is due to vowel harmony.
